Fortnite Battle Pass history begins with the very first unlockable knights and ends with years of ambitious skins, alternate styles, collaborations and themed seasons. Black Knight, Drift and Midas may come from different eras, but each one is part of the same long story: Fortnite turning its seasons into something players could collect and remember.
This is the visual chapter-by-chapter companion to The Click’s existing complete list of Fortnite Battle Pass skins. Rather than repeat hundreds of outfit names, you can open a chapter below, read what made that period distinctive and follow the links to the full skins list, its original maps and the official trailer archive.

Open the original season-by-season outfit collections below. Chapters 1–5 have individual skin cards. Chapters 6 and 7 use original lineup artwork and distinguish special quest rewards from the main passes.
Fortnite Battle Pass history by chapter
Start with the season you remember best. The Battle Pass didn’t exist in the original Chapter 1 Season 1; the first version arrived in Season 2. Special seasons such as OG and Remix also need to be kept separate from the original numbered chapters.

Fortnite Battle Pass history: Chapter 1 final rewards
The detailed Chapter 1 Battle Pass skins gallery covers every original pass, and the Chapter 2 Battle Pass skins collection follows Midas, Marvel, the alien invasion and the Cube Queen. Each includes complete season outfit lists and original island pictures.
The first Battle Pass had 70 tiers, with Black Knight at the top. From Season 3 onward, the final outfit was at Tier 100. This table follows those milestone rewards through the original Chapter 1, with links to each season’s historical map.

Fortnite Battle Pass history: What changed over the years?
The earliest Battle Passes focused on straightforward tier rewards and a small collection of memorable outfits. Later seasons experimented with progressive styles, secret outfits, branching unlocks and crossovers. Those differences explain why two players can talk about their favourite Battle Pass and be remembering completely different experiences.
Chapter 1 gave us some of the best-known prestige outfits. Chapter 2 made Battle Pass characters more central to the story on the island; Midas, for example, was part of the Agency and the events that led to the flood. Later chapters continued tying skins to the locations and conflicts introduced in their seasonal trailers.
Which Fortnite Battle Pass had the best skins?
There isn’t one objective answer. Some players love the early passes for how recognisable their rewards became. Others prefer the Marvel collaborations or passes that introduced a favourite character. The rarest Fortnite skins guide looks at who could actually obtain certain outfits; that’s a different question from which Battle Pass players liked most.
We are also building a reader participation series about the skins people remember most, including which outfits feel rarest and which have the sweatiest reputation. Those are community opinions, not claims that a cosmetic improves anybody’s skill. For a deeper read about the terminology, visit the existing sweatiest Fortnite skins article.
Watch the trailers and explore the island from each pass
A Battle Pass makes more sense when you see the world it was part of. The Fortnite season trailers library collects original videos from the official channel, while Fortnite map evolution has the original season layouts and before-and-after comparisons. That combination lets you revisit the characters, the island and the reveal rather than just reading a list of old cosmetics.
