ESO Set Sail on the High Seas Golden Pursuits: All 24 Tasks and Rewards

ESO High Seas of Tamriel

ESO Set Sail on the High Seas is a limited-time Golden Pursuits campaign running alongside the High Seas of Tamriel event from September 30 to October 14, 2026. There are 24 activities to complete, covering ship battles, underwater exploration, fishing, treasure hunting and boss encounters. Rewards include 10,000 Gold, the Lilmoth Turtle pet and seven pieces of the Abecean Sea Privateer outfit.

You only need to finish 18 of the 24 tasks to collect every milestone reward, including the final Abecean Sea Privateer Jerkin. Several objectives can be completed during the introductory quest, while others require the repeatable Bounty of the Abecean Sea voyage. Here’s every ESO Set Sail on the High Seas objective, where to complete it and how to earn the rewards before the event ends.

Open the Activity Finder and select Golden Pursuits to view the Set Sail on the High Seas campaign. You’ll find all 24 available activities, their progress counters and the rewards unlocked at each milestone.

To begin the event itself, open the Crown Store’s Quest Starters section and accept Raising the Riotous Redress. You can also travel to the Gold Coast and speak with Baron-Captain Olsien Guy Mard on the coast outside Anvil.

Completing this introduction unlocks Bounty of the Abecean Sea, the repeatable daily quest that contains most of the campaign’s combat and exploration objectives.

Our ESO Raising the Riotous Redress walkthrough covers the introductory quest and how to unlock your first voyage.

ESO Set Sail on the High Seas: All 24 Golden Pursuits Tasks

The campaign contains six voyage and fishing objectives, seven ship-combat objectives, five underwater exploration objectives and six additional boss, treasure and character interactions.

Each activity counts as one completed Golden Pursuit, regardless of how much time it takes. The 10 and 20 fishing objectives, for example, are separate tasks, so reaching the higher target allows you to complete both.

Voyage, Quest and Fishing Tasks (1–6)

1. Claim the Undersea Treasure in 1 High Seas Voyage

Complete one Bounty of the Abecean Sea voyage and claim the Golden King’s underwater treasure. You’ll need to survive the ship battle, enter the Dwemer Diving Chamber, explore the seabed and defeat Krelzimar before reaching the treasure.

2. Claim the Undersea Treasure in 3 High Seas Voyages

Repeat the voyage until you’ve claimed the underwater treasure three times. The activity counts successful treasure claims, rather than simply boarding the Riotous Redress or beginning the quest.

3. Claim the Undersea Treasure in 5 High Seas Voyages

Claim the Golden King’s treasure across five voyages. This is the longest of the three voyage-count objectives, although the earlier milestones contribute to the same overall activity.

4. Complete the Quest “Raising the Riotous Redress”

Finish the introductory event quest obtained from the Crown Store or Baron-Captain Olsien Guy Mard outside Anvil. This quest introduces the damaged ship and its spectral crew before unlocking the repeatable daily.

5. Fish from Abecean Saltwater Fishing Holes 10 Times

Travel to the waters near the Anchorage for the Riotous Redress and locate the event-specific Abecean Saltwater Fishing Holes. Cast into these holes 10 times using saltwater bait such as Worms or Chub.

6. Fish from Abecean Saltwater Fishing Holes 20 Times

Continue fishing from the same event-specific holes until you’ve reached 20 casts. You can complete both fishing objectives in one session, while also working towards the High Seas Master Angler achievement.

The fishing holes contain Pelican Eel, Abecean Slaughterfish, Abyssal Grenadier and Pelagic Lanternfish. These four rare fish are part of a separate achievement and aren’t required to finish the Golden Pursuits fishing tasks.

See our ESO Abecean Saltwater Fishing Holes guide for their location and the correct bait.

Ship Combat Tasks (7–13)

The next seven ESO Set Sail on the High Seas activities take place during the ship battle aboard the Riotous Redress. These objectives involve fighting Louse-Whisperer attackers, repairing damage and using the ship’s weapons.

7. Defeat 5 Louse-Whisperer Champions

Kill five Louse-Whisperer Champions during the Bounty of the Abecean Sea ship encounter. These are the champions who board the Riotous Redress during attacks by the enemy cult fleet.

8. Defeat 15 Louse-Whisperer Champions

Defeat 15 of the same enemies. Your kills contribute towards both champion objectives, although reaching the larger target may require additional voyages.

9. Repair 10 Breaches

During the enemy assault, breaches can appear on the Riotous Redress. Approach the damaged sections and interact with them to perform repairs. You’ll need 10 successful breach repairs.

10. Repair 50 Breaches

Continue repairing ship damage until you’ve reached 50 breaches. This is one of the larger cumulative objectives and can take several battles, depending on how much damage the ship sustains and how quickly the crew repairs it.

11. Fire Siege Weapons 10 Times

Use a Riotous Catapult aboard the ship during the Sea Elf battle. Fire the catapult 10 times to complete the first siege objective.

12. Fire Siege Weapons 20 Times

Continue using the Riotous Catapult until you’ve fired siege weapons 20 times. The same weapon is used for both objectives, allowing you to work towards the larger target during normal ship combat.

13. Sink an Enemy Ship

Use the Riotous Catapult to damage the attacking Louse-Whisperer vessel when it moves into firing position. Continue attacking until the enemy ship sinks.

The Golden Pursuit requires a successful sinking, so don’t assume that merely surviving the encounter or driving the attackers away completes this particular objective.

Set Sail on the High Seas Golden Pursuits activities.

The ship-combat objectives can overlap during a single battle. While Louse-Whisperer Champions are boarding, you can repair breaches and use the catapult whenever the enemy vessel is within range.

If the battle ends before you’ve reached 15 champion kills, 50 repairs or 20 siege shots, you can continue building those totals during later voyages.

Underwater Exploration Tasks (14–18)

After the ship encounter, Bounty of the Abecean Sea takes you beneath the water using a Dwemer Diving Chamber. Five ESO Set Sail on the High Seas tasks are completed during this section.

14. Explore the Abecean Depths with the Dwemer Diving Chamber

Following the ship battle, use the Dwemer Diving Chamber aboard the Riotous Redress to travel to the underwater exploration area.

Entering the chamber and beginning the underwater section completes this objective.

15. Harpoon an Enemy

While exploring the Abecean depths, approach an enemy that allows a harpoon interaction. Use the displayed harpoon prompt on the target to complete the activity.

Regular weapon attacks don’t replace this interaction. You must use the event’s harpoon mechanic.

16. Use the Harpoon to Remove an Obstacle 10 Times

Underwater obstacles such as stalactites and magma vents can be targeted using the harpoon. Interact with these hazards when the harpoon prompt appears and remove 10 obstacles.

This activity can be missed when travelling directly towards the next boss. Look for environmental hazards along the underwater route and clear them as you progress.

17. Kill 15 Reefcoral Mudcrabs

Defeat 15 Reefcoral Mudcrabs during underwater exploration. These creatures appear in the Abecean depths reached through the Dwemer Diving Chamber.

The objective requires the specific Reefcoral Mudcrab enemy, rather than ordinary mudcrabs found elsewhere in Tamriel.

18. Kill 3 Yaghra While Exploring the Abecean Depths

Defeat three Yaghra enemies during the underwater section of Bounty of the Abecean Sea.

These bipedal crustacean enemies are encountered along the undersea route. The objective counts Yaghra kills in the event area.

The underwater section also contains hostile creatures, environmental hazards and a protective bubble mechanic. If you’re running out of protection, look for environmental interactions that restore your bubble before continuing towards the next encounter.

Boss, Treasure and Introduction Tasks (19–24)

The remaining six objectives involve named enemies, flotsam fishing and interactions associated with Raising the Riotous Redress.

19. Defeat Clackgrack, the Covetous Claw

Clackgrack is a Hadolid enemy encountered in a cave along the Gold Coast during the Raising the Riotous Redress introductory quest.

Follow the quest into the coastal cave and defeat Clackgrack to complete this Golden Pursuit. You can earn this objective before beginning the repeatable daily.

20. Kill the Reefwardens, Lucky Gretch and Bright Bazzle

Lucky Gretch and Bright Bazzle are a pair of Haj Mota bosses found inside an underwater cavern during Bounty of the Abecean Sea.

Both bosses must be defeated for the objective. They’re part of the undersea exploration route, so look for their encounter before leaving the depths.

21. Defeat Krelzimar, Pelagic Trauma

Krelzimar is a powerful Yaghra boss encountered deep within the underwater cavern during Bounty of the Abecean Sea.

Defeat Krelzimar to complete the Golden Pursuit. This encounter is also part of the route towards claiming the Golden King’s treasure.

22. Fish up Treasures from Flotsam 3 Times

After sinking or driving away an enemy Sea Elf ship, Flotsam pools can appear on the water near the Riotous Redress.

Fish from these floating treasure pools three times. They are separate from the Abecean Saltwater Fishing Holes used for the Golden Pursuits fishing tasks and High Seas Master Angler.

Look for the Flotsam interaction after the naval encounter rather than leaving the area immediately.

23. Ring the Bell on the Riotous Redress

During Raising the Riotous Redress, you’ll repair the ship’s bell and ring it while looking out towards the sea.

Complete the bell interaction during the introductory quest to satisfy this activity. It’s a separate Golden Pursuit from finishing the quest itself.

24. Speak with Olsien Guy Mard, Baron-Captain of the All Flags Navy

Speak with Baron-Captain Olsien Guy Mard on the Gold Coast during Raising the Riotous Redress.

He’s the spectral sailor who introduces the event and its ship. Talking to him during the introductory quest completes this objective.

These last interactions are worth collecting during your first run through the introduction, as Clackgrack, the bell and the Baron-Captain each count towards a separate Golden Pursuit.

ESO Set Sail on the High Seas: All Milestone Rewards

Golden Pursuits milestone and activity rewards.

There are nine reward milestones in ESO Set Sail on the High Seas. Completing two tasks awards Gold, while four completed tasks unlock the Lilmoth Turtle non-combat pet. The remaining milestones award pieces of the Abecean Sea Privateer outfit.

The Jerkin is the campaign’s final completion reward. Once you’ve finished 18 activities, you’ve reached the final milestone and don’t need to complete the remaining six tasks to obtain the full Golden Pursuits reward collection.

Open the Golden Pursuits menu through the Activity Finder to check which rewards are ready to claim.

These outfit rewards are separate from the Abecean Sea Privateer weapon style pages available through the wider High Seas event reward system.

How to Complete 18 ESO Set Sail on the High Seas Tasks

You can reach the final Golden Pursuits milestone without completing all five treasure voyages, repairing 50 breaches or defeating 15 Louse-Whisperer Champions.

One route to 18 activities uses the introductory quest, the two fishing objectives, four ship-combat tasks, seven underwater tasks and a single completed voyage.

Start by finishing Raising the Riotous Redress. During the quest, defeat Clackgrack, repair and ring the bell, and speak with Olsien Guy Mard. Together with completing the quest, these account for four Golden Pursuits activities.

Next, visit the Abecean Saltwater Fishing Holes near the anchorage. Fish 20 times to finish both the 10-cast and 20-cast objectives, bringing your total to six completed activities.

During Bounty of the Abecean Sea, work towards defeating five Louse-Whisperer Champions, repairing 10 breaches, firing the catapult 10 times and sinking an enemy ship. Those are four more possible completions from the naval encounter.

Once underwater, use the Dwemer Diving Chamber, harpoon an enemy, remove 10 obstacles, defeat 15 Reefcoral Mudcrabs, kill three Yaghra and defeat Lucky Gretch, Bright Bazzle and Krelzimar. These count as seven additional tasks, including the two named-boss objectives.

Finally, claim the Golden King’s treasure at the end of the voyage to complete the first treasure-claim objective.

That makes 18 activities:

  • Four introductory quest objectives.
  • Two Abecean Saltwater Fishing Hole objectives.
  • Four ship-combat objectives.
  • Seven underwater exploration and boss objectives.
  • One undersea treasure claim.

You may need more than one voyage to finish some cumulative combat targets. If one is taking too long, the Flotsam fishing task and the three-voyage treasure milestone provide other ways to reach 18 without grinding the 50-breach objective.

Can You Complete ESO Set Sail on the High Seas in One Day?

It’s possible to make substantial progress in one session because many objectives overlap during the same quest and voyage. The four introductory activities, two fishing tasks and several underwater objectives can be completed without waiting for multiple event days.

However, the three-voyage and five-voyage treasure objectives naturally require repeated clears. The higher ship-combat totals may also need further runs, depending on how many champions, breaches and catapult opportunities appear.

Players who complete the introductory quest and thoroughly explore their first voyage can reach a large portion of the 18-task requirement without having to finish every cumulative objective.

The campaign doesn’t require all 24 objectives for its final reward, so you can leave difficult or time-consuming activities incomplete once you’ve earned the Jerkin.

When Does ESO Set Sail on the High Seas End?

The ESO Set Sail on the High Seas Golden Pursuits campaign ends on October 14, 2026, alongside the High Seas of Tamriel event.

The Golden Pursuits rewards are earned through the campaign’s limited-time activities, so complete the required 18 tasks and claim the available milestones before the event closes.

If you’re close to the final reward, check which objectives are still incomplete. The 10 and 20 fishing tasks, first undersea treasure claim and introductory interactions can provide progress without requiring five full voyages.

Once you’ve reached 18 completed tasks, you’ll have unlocked the entire milestone reward collection, including the Lilmoth Turtle pet and all seven Abecean Sea Privateer outfit pieces.
