ESO High Seas known issues are worth checking before you start dismantling add-ons or changing controls, because ZeniMax has already acknowledged several problems specific to the event. The list includes a boss that could disappear, an underwater resurrection problem that leaves characters stuck at walking speed, incorrect tooltip wording, a harpoon interface oddity and a strange visual problem involving a fish. Some of these have already been hotfixed, while others still have temporary workarounds or are waiting for an incremental update.
Krelzimar’s reset and disappearance problem received a live hotfix on September 30, but the movement problem is still described by ZeniMax with an avoidance workaround.

ESO High Seas known issues currently include five items acknowledged by ZeniMax: Krelzimar could reset and disappear; holding a movement command while a group member resurrects you underwater can leave you stuck at walking speed; the Treatise on Scrying and Excavation, Unbound tooltip says ranks when it should say points; the stalactite harpoon interaction uses the wrong UI box; and one fish can visually resemble a box. Krelzimar has been hotfixed, while the others are either being worked on, awaiting a future incremental, or considered a minor UI and visual problem.
Krelzimar disappearing or resetting
The most disruptive ESO High Seas known issues entry was Krelzimar resetting and disappearing in some instances. ZeniMax deployed a hotfix on September 30 and marked the fix live. If Krelzimar is still absent in a stale session, close the client and log back in before assuming the hotfix failed permanently. Some players also reported success after restarting the quest instance, but the official status is that the underlying despawn problem has been addressed rather than left as expected event behaviour.
Stuck at walking speed after resurrection
The movement problem remains one of the active ESO High Seas known issues. ZeniMax says holding a movement command while being resurrected by another group member in the undersea section can leave the character stuck at walking speed afterwards. The current official workaround is preventative: avoid holding a movement command during the resurrection. If you are grouping, release the movement keys or stick before accepting the revive so you do not trigger the state while ZeniMax works on a permanent fix.

Treatise tooltip says 7 ranks
Another ESO High Seas known issues item affects the Treatise on Scrying and Excavation, Unbound tooltip. The text incorrectly says the item grants 7 ranks in the Scrying Skill Line and 7 ranks in the Excavation Skill Line. ZeniMax clarified that this should read 7 points, not 7 ranks, and says the wording will be corrected in a future incremental. Treat the current tooltip as a text error rather than evidence that the item instantly grants seven full skill-line ranks.
Harpooning the stalactite UI bug
The stalactite interaction is a smaller ESO High Seas known issues entry. ZeniMax says harpooning the stalactite can use the wrong UI box. The team is aware of it and describes the impact as a small edge case, so the important thing is not to mistake the unusual prompt presentation for a broken harpoon mechanic. If the correct interaction is available, follow the prompt and continue the underwater objective even if the box does not look like the normal event interface.
The fish that looks like a box
One of the stranger ESO High Seas known issues is exactly what it sounds like: ZeniMax acknowledged that a fish can look a lot like a box. The developer described it as a visual problem and said it would work to return the fish to its original state. This is not listed as a fishing-drop or achievement progression failure. If you encounter the odd model during High Seas, treat it as a presentation bug rather than assuming your fishing hole, loot table or Master Angler progress has been replaced by a container.
What is fixed and what is still pending
For ESO High Seas known issues, the simplest status split is that Krelzimar has a deployed hotfix, while the resurrection movement problem still has an official workaround. The Treatise wording is scheduled for a later incremental, and the harpoon UI and fish visual issues are acknowledged without a player-side repair. Do not apply unrelated troubleshooting such as deleting add-ons or resetting every control setting unless your problem is broader than the symptoms ZeniMax has already identified.
When to relog or report a new problem
If your ESO High Seas known issues symptom does not match the official list, first relog and confirm the event is otherwise functioning. For Krelzimar specifically, a full client restart is sensible because ZeniMax advised logging back in after the hotfix. If a reproducible problem survives a fresh session and is not one of the acknowledged items, use the in-game bug report route with the exact quest step, platform and circumstances rather than assuming every High Seas failure shares the same cause.
