RV There Yet Crossplay is live on PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, Steam PC and Microsoft Store PC. Nuggets Entertainment switched it on with patch 1.4.1 on October 29, 2026, the same date the PS5 and Switch 2 editions launched.

Four people can now drive the same RV together even when they own different consoles or PCs. The update introduces a join-by-code feature, join by IP and additional online session filters. Those additions make finding a game easier than relying on platform-specific friend invitations.

A Steam player can join a friend on PS5, an Xbox player can team up with someone on Switch 2, and Microsoft Store PC owners can join the same group. The October 29 patch is the change that made those combinations possible. Everyone should install their latest game update before joining.

Nintendo’s edition is a native Switch 2 game, not a version for the original Switch. PlayStation offers a native PS5 edition. The original Steam release came out in October 2025, and the Xbox version followed in June 2026. Crossplay is part of the October 2026 update, not a feature you need to unlock by completing a map.

RV There Yet Crossplay: joining friends across platforms

To play together, have one person host an online session and share its join code with the other players. Friends on other platforms can enter that code using the multiplayer joining option. Everyone needs the current version of the game, including Steam and Xbox players who owned it before the console launches.

Have the host share the joining code displayed by their active lobby. Enter that code through the game’s multiplayer join option, check every character and confirm the room is still open. If the host has recreated the session, use the code from the new lobby. There is room for four people including the host.

Finding public sessions and free player slots

RV There Yet Crossplay also supports finding games through the online session browser. Version 1.4.1 added filters for session length, number of players and available slots. Look for a session with an open space rather than attempting to join one that already has four people.

Playing with friends? Use a join code to reach the host’s session rather than searching through public games. Join by IP is available too, but your home IP address should stay private. Public browsing is the better option when you just want to find a group with spare places.

PlayStation Plus and Nintendo Switch Online

PS5 owners need PlayStation Plus for online play, according to the official PlayStation Store listing. The game is sold separately and supports one local player or up to four online. The PS5 version also lists DualSense vibration and adaptive trigger effects.

Switch 2 owners need Nintendo Switch Online for the online co-op mode. Nintendo lists one player per system and one to four online. PC players use their game on Steam or the Microsoft Store. RV There Yet Crossplay is about joining friends, not sharing purchases, saved progress or game licenses between storefronts.

What happens when you play with four friends?

The four-player cap includes the person hosting. You cooperate to drive one RV towards Route 65 while navigating steep roads, managing supplies, repairing damage and using front and rear winches to get unstuck. It’s a team journey rather than four separate vehicles in a race.

Your group can tackle the original Mabutts Valley route, Mt. Yurbuttsk or the St. Búttin Bay third map released in September. RV There Yet Crossplay keeps the same shared driving and winch gameplay while letting friends join from different systems.

RV There Yet Crossplay not working

When a friend cannot connect, first compare the game versions and confirm that the host has an open slot. Recheck the joining code, restart the lobby if it has closed and make sure console players have the online membership their platform requires.

If a public lobby doesn’t appear, clear the session filters and try again. For a specific friend’s game, use their current join code instead. Restart a closed lobby and check everyone’s connection if a join attempt fails. The October patch also includes networking improvements.
