Pokémon GO Halloween 2026 Part I ends Sunday, 1 November at 10am local time. Before then, you can collect the new costumed Pokémon, tap the Halloween Trick or Treat surprises and claim free Timed Research rewards worth six Rare Candies and a special Pikachu encounter.
Part II takes over immediately afterwards, but the Halloween GO Pass carries on until 5 November. You don’t have to finish the entire pass before the event changes tomorrow. The urgent job is to claim Part I’s free research and catch any costumes you still need.
Pokémon GO Halloween 2026 Part I end time and dates

The event began on 27 October at 10am and finishes on 1 November 2026 at 10am local time, which is 10am GMT in the UK. There is no separate UK start or end time to calculate from the US.
Pokémon GO Halloween 2026 Part I changes over to Part II at that point. The second phase runs through 5 November at 8pm local time, with new encounters including Shiny Greavard. Read our Part II guide for what changes.

Where to find costumed Pokémon and Shinies
The three new costumes are Pikachu wearing a hat and capelet, Zubat wearing a top hat, and Sinistea wearing a bow. All three can appear Shiny. The announcement does not give a boosted Shiny rate, so treat every encounter as a chance rather than a guarantee.
For wild encounters, look for top-hat Zubat, Duskull and Halloween Mischief Piplup. Halloween Mischief Drifblim can also appear, but is listed as a less-common encounter. For raids, the new costumed Pikachu and Sinistea appear in one-star raids. That gives collectors another way to find both.
Trick or Treat objects and rewards
Pokémon GO Halloween 2026 Part I adds spooky objects in the wild that you can tap for a surprise. Rewards can include encounters with event Pokémon, Pikachu Candy, Zubat Candy, Sinistea Candy or Rare Candy. An individual tap does not guarantee a particular prize.
The Halloween decorations at Gyms and PokéStops also remain part of the event’s atmosphere. You can hear the Lavender Town remix at night by enabling in-game sound. There’s no separate task to unlock that soundtrack.
How to claim six Rare Candies and Pikachu
The free Halloween Part I Timed Research is automatically completed for every Trainer. Open the Research screen and claim all the available rewards to collect six Rare Candies and an encounter with hat-and-capelet Pikachu, which can be Shiny.
You must claim those rewards before 1 November at 10am local time. Don’t leave them sitting on a completed research page. Our free Timed Research guide explains the Part I claim and the separate Sinistea reward offered in Part II.
Pokémon GO Halloween 2026 Part I GO Pass bonuses

The event GO Pass is free and earns ranks through Pass Tasks and GO Points. At Rank 10, catches give double Candy, or triple with Deluxe. At Rank 20, catches give double Stardust, or triple with Deluxe.
The Deluxe upgrade also adds event encounters, Patissier clothing, Rare Candy XL and Premium Battle Passes. You can keep earning GO Points until 5 November at 8pm local time, then claim the rewards you’ve unlocked before 7 November at 8pm. Our GO Pass guide compares both tracks.
Field Research and what to do before tomorrow
Event-themed Field Research is also available from PokéStops. The official announcement confirms encounter rewards but doesn’t publish a complete list of task names and species pairs. Look at the live task in your Research menu and check our Field Research coverage if you want to prioritise encounters.
For Pokémon GO Halloween 2026 Part I, claim the free Pikachu research first. Then check top-hat Zubat in the wild or spend a raid pass on Pikachu and Sinistea if you still need them. Tap Trick or Treat objects on your route; don’t waste the last hours chasing an outcome that isn’t guaranteed.
What changes in Pokémon GO Halloween 2026 Part II?
The switch happens on Sunday at 10am local time. Part II introduces Shiny Greavard through wild encounters, Field Research and GO Pass tasks, plus Litwick, costumed Rowlet and a possible Spooky Festival Gengar in the wild. Hat-and-capelet Pikachu and bow Sinistea remain in one-star raids.
Part II also brings a new automatically completed Timed Research reward: six Rare Candies and bow-wearing Sinistea. That research expires on 5 November at 8pm, unlike the Part I Pikachu reward, which expires on 1 November.
