How to Use the Ultra Unlock 10th Anniversary Event Tracker
The Ultra Unlock 10th Anniversary Event Tracker is divided into separate sections covering the wild Pokémon rotations, lure encounters, raids, featured attacks, GO Pass rewards, avatar items and Professor Willow’s Birthday Research.
Tick each box as you complete it. Depending on the Pokémon or objective, you may be able to track:
- Whether you have caught the Pokémon
- Whether you found its Shiny form
- Whether you caught a Hundo or 4-star Pokémon
- Whether it had a team-specific Special Background
- Whether you defeated it in a raid
- Whether you completed an event evolution
- Whether you unlocked a GO Pass milestone
- Whether you collected an event reward
Your overall completion percentage updates as you use the tracker. Each individual event section also displays its own progress, making it easy to see what you still need before Ultra Unlock: 10th Anniversary Edition ends.
Tracker progress is stored locally in your browser. This means you do not need to create an account, but progress will not automatically transfer between different phones, computers or browsers.
Ultra Unlock 10th Anniversary Wild Pokémon Schedule
The featured wild Pokémon change twice during the event. Each rotation lasts approximately two days, with the final rotation continuing until the event ends at 8:00 p.m. on July 27.
| Dates | Featured regions | Catch XP |
|---|---|---|
| July 21 at 10:00 a.m. to July 23 at 10:00 a.m. | Kanto, Johto and Hoenn | 6× XP |
| July 23 at 10:00 a.m. to July 25 at 10:00 a.m. | Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos | 8× XP |
| July 25 at 10:00 a.m. to July 27 at 8:00 p.m. | Alola, Galar and Paldea | 10× XP |
Kanto, Johto and Hoenn First Partner Pokémon
The first wild rotation begins on July 21 and includes the first partner Pokémon originally discovered in Kanto, Johto and Hoenn.
The available Pokémon are Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Treecko, Torchic and Mudkip.
All nine Pokémon can be Shiny. Eligible first partner Pokémon may also have a Special Background based on the Trainer’s current team when the encounter begins.
Trainers who have not joined a team cannot encounter these team-specific Special Backgrounds.
Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos First Partner Pokémon
The second rotation begins on July 23 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
The available Pokémon are Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie.
Each of these Pokémon can be Shiny, giving Trainers another opportunity to complete missing parts of their first partner Pokémon collections while earning eight times the normal catch XP.
Alola, Galar and Paldea First Partner Pokémon
The final rotation begins on July 25 at 10:00 a.m. local time and continues until the event ends.
The available Pokémon are Rowlet, Litten, Popplio, Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble, Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly.
All nine are listed as possible Shiny encounters during the event. The final rotation also provides ten times the normal XP for catching Pokémon, making the closing weekend particularly valuable for Trainers working towards higher levels.
Ultra Unlock 10th Anniversary Lure Encounters
Normal Lure Modules may attract additional event Pokémon throughout Ultra Unlock: 10th Anniversary Edition.
Confirmed lure encounters include:
- Beldum
- Gible
- Dreepy
- Additional event-themed Pokémon
Beldum and Gible can be Shiny. Dreepy is still worth tracking for Candy, strong IVs and Pokédex progress even without a Shiny encounter.
The Ultra Unlock 10th Anniversary Event Tracker includes a separate lure section so these encounters do not become mixed in with the rotating wild Pokémon.
Ultra Unlock 10th Anniversary Raids
The event raid pool contains several returning costumed Pokémon.
One-Star Raids
Grimer wearing a party hat will appear in one-star raids. It can be Shiny and may also have a team-specific Special Background.
Professor Willow’s assistant Pikachu will also appear in one-star raids from July 21 until July 27 at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Three-Star Raids
The three-star raid pool includes:
| Raid boss | Shiny available | Special Background chance |
|---|---|---|
| Party Hat Raticate | Yes | Yes |
| Party Hat Nidorino | Yes | Yes |
| Party Hat Gengar | Yes | Yes |
| Party Hat Wobbuffet | Yes | Yes |
The raid section of the Ultra Unlock 10th Anniversary Event Tracker allows you to record whether you defeated each boss, found its Shiny form, caught a Hundo or received a team-specific Special Background.
Professor Willow’s Assistant Pikachu Tracker
Professor Willow’s assistant Pikachu makes its Pokémon GO debut during Willow’s Birthday Research on July 21.
Willow’s Birthday Research is available from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. local time on July 21, although Professor Willow’s assistant Pikachu remains available in raids until the wider event ends on July 27.
The new costumed Pikachu may appear through:
- Field Research
- Timed Research
- Snapshot surprises
- One-star raids
Professor Willow’s assistant Pikachu can be Shiny and may have a team-specific Special Background.
Because it is a new costumed Pikachu, it is also an important addition for players using our complete Pokémon GO Costume Pikachu Tracker.
Exclusive Ultra Unlock Evolution Attacks
First partner Pokémon evolved during the event can learn their established Community Day Charged Attacks.
Grass-type final evolutions can learn Frenzy Plant, Fire-type final evolutions can learn Blast Burn, and Water-type final evolutions can learn Hydro Cannon.
| Attack | Eligible final evolutions |
|---|---|
| Frenzy Plant | Venusaur, Meganium, Sceptile, Torterra, Serperior, Chesnaught, Decidueye, Rillaboom and Meowscarada |
| Blast Burn | Charizard, Typhlosion, Blaziken, Infernape, Emboar, Delphox, Incineroar, Cinderace and Skeledirge |
| Hydro Cannon | Blastoise, Feraligatr, Swampert, Empoleon, Samurott, Greninja, Primarina, Inteleon and Quaquaval |
The Ultra Unlock 10th Anniversary Event Tracker contains separate evolution objectives for all three featured attacks.
Before evolving, check that you have enough Candy and that the Pokémon has suitable IVs for the way you intend to use it. Some of these exclusive attacks are especially valuable in raids, the GO Battle League or both.
GO Pass: 10th Anniversary Progress
All Trainers automatically receive the free GO Pass: 10th Anniversary when the event begins on July 21 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
GO Points can be earned until July 27 at 8:00 p.m. local time. Between July 25 at 12:00 a.m. and July 27 at 7:59 p.m., the normal daily limit on earning GO Points will be removed.
Free GO Pass rewards include:
- 10th Anniversary Tee in yellow
- Golden Lure Module
- Encounters with event-themed Pokémon
- Additional items and rewards
The GO Pass Deluxe costs US$4.99 or the corresponding local price. The Deluxe version provides upgraded rewards and faster progression.
A second option, GO Pass Deluxe plus six ranks, costs US$6.99 and supplies enough GO Points to reach Rank 7 immediately.
GO Pass Major Milestone Bonuses
At Rank 10, free GO Pass users unlock twice the normal Candy for catching Pokémon. GO Pass Deluxe users receive three times the normal catch Candy instead.
At Rank 20, Trainers unlock an increased chance of receiving Candy XL.
All earned GO Pass rewards must be claimed before Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 7:59 p.m. local time.
The Ultra Unlock 10th Anniversary Event Tracker includes Rank 10, Rank 20 and overall GO Pass completion goals so you can keep these deadlines visible while playing.
Free Professor Willow Avatar Items
Several Professor Willow-inspired avatar items will be available free from the in-game shop during the event.
The collection includes:
- Professor Willow–Style Lab Coat
- Professor Willow–Style Pants
- Professor Willow–Style Gloves
- Professor Willow–Style Shoes
- Professor Willow–Style Backpack
- Professor Willow Glasses
Each item has its own checkbox within the tracker. Collecting the full set should only take a moment, but ticking them off prevents the free items from being forgotten before the event ends.
Glimmers of Gratitude Masterwork Research
The Glimmers of Gratitude Masterwork Research returns during Ultra Unlock: 10th Anniversary Edition for US$4.99 or the equivalent regional price.
Completing the Masterwork Research eventually leads to an encounter with Shiny Shaymin.
Players who already obtained Glimmers of Gratitude cannot purchase it again. New ticket holders must open Pokémon GO during the event to receive the research, but the Masterwork Research does not need to be completed before July 27.
Masterwork Research is deliberately designed to take a long time, so purchasing the ticket should not be treated as another short event objective.
Make the Most of the Ultra Unlock 10th Anniversary Event
The changing spawn pools mean it will be important to play during all three parts of the event rather than leaving every objective until the final weekend.
Prioritise any first partner Pokémon you are missing during their specific rotation. The Pokémon available on July 21 will no longer be the featured group once the July 23 rotation begins.
The increasing XP bonus also makes the final days especially useful for mass catching. Using Lucky Eggs during the ten-times catch XP period could produce a substantial amount of experience, particularly in areas with dense spawns and active Lure Modules.
Keep the Ultra Unlock 10th Anniversary Event Tracker open while you play, update your catches as you go and use the section progress displays to identify the remaining Shinies, Hundos, backgrounds, raids and rewards you still need.
