The Summer Marathon: Arctic Embers Event Tracker automatically identifies the current date and highlights the Pokémon appearing that day.
On August 10, all four rotating Pokémon will be available, making the final day particularly useful for filling any remaining gaps in your collection.
Summer Marathon: Arctic Embers Event Tracker- Track Shiny Snom During Arctic Embers
Shiny Snom makes its Pokémon GO debut during Summer Marathon: Arctic Embers.
Players may encounter Snom by completing GO Pass tasks or hatch it from an Egg. A Shiny encounter is not guaranteed, so players hunting Shiny Snom may need to complete several tasks and hatch multiple Eggs during the event.
The tracker includes a dedicated Shiny Snom objective, allowing you to record whether you have:
- Encountered Snom
- Hatched Snom
- Found Shiny Snom
- Found a Hundo Snom
This gives Shiny hunters a clear target to work towards throughout the event.
Track Every Arctic Embers 5 km Egg Hatch
The following Pokémon will be available from 5 km Eggs during Summer Marathon: Arctic Embers:
| Pokémon | Shiny available? |
|---|---|
| Sneasel | Yes |
| Darumaka | Yes |
| Galarian Darumaka | Yes |
| Sizzlipede | Yes |
| Snom | Yes |
You can use the tracker to tick off each species as it hatches instead of trying to remember which Pokémon you have already obtained.
Players working towards the event GO Pass bonuses can also unlock reduced Egg Hatch Distance, making it easier to hatch more 5 km Eggs before Arctic Embers ends.
Summer Marathon: Arctic Embers Event Tracker- Track the Arctic Embers GO Pass
Every Trainer will automatically receive the free GO Pass: Summer Marathon when the event begins on August 4 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Players collect GO Points by completing Pass Tasks. Earning enough GO Points increases their GO Pass rank and unlocks additional rewards.
The tracker includes objectives for GO Pass progression and the two major event bonus milestones.
Rank 10 GO Pass Bonus
Players who reach Rank 10 unlock:
- Twice the XP for spinning a PokéStop
- Three times the XP for spinning a PokéStop with GO Pass Deluxe
Rank 20 GO Pass Bonus
Players who reach Rank 20 unlock:
- Half Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event
- Quarter Egg Hatch Distance with GO Pass Deluxe
These bonuses remain important throughout Arctic Embers, particularly for players planning to hatch Snom or take part in Fire and Ice Hatch Day.
The tracker lets you mark each milestone once it has been reached.
Track GO Pass Rewards
Free GO Pass rewards include:
- Event-themed Pokémon encounters
- Stardust
- XP
- Rare Candy
- Ultra Balls
- Additional items
Players who upgrade to GO Pass Deluxe can also earn:

- Candy XL
- Additional premium rewards
All unlocked GO Pass rewards must be claimed by Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
This is later than the main event finishing time, but it is still worth claiming rewards as soon as they become available.
Track Arctic Embers Field Research
Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available by spinning PokéStops during Summer Marathon: Arctic Embers.
Research encounters may include:
- Ponyta
- Slugma
- Snover
- Vanillite
- Other event-themed Pokémon
The tracker includes a Field Research objective so you can record when you have completed event research and claimed its rewards.
Field Research may provide additional opportunities to find the featured rotating Pokémon without relying entirely on wild encounters.
Track the Arctic Embers Timed Research
Free Timed Research will also be available during the event.
Completing the Summer Marathon Timed Research rewards players with:
- 16,800 XP
- An encounter with Pikachu wearing a marathon visor
The Timed Research must be completed and its rewards claimed before Monday, August 10, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
The tracker allows you to mark both the research and the costumed Pikachu encounter as complete.
Because this research expires when Arctic Embers ends, it should not be left until after the event.
Fire and Ice Hatch Day Tracker
Fire and Ice Hatch Day takes place during Summer Marathon: Arctic Embers on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. local time.
During the six-hour event, Smoochum and Magby will hatch much more frequently from 2 km Eggs. Players will also have an increased chance of hatching Shiny Smoochum and Shiny Magby.
Larvesta may hatch from 5 km Eggs and can also be Shiny.
The Arctic Embers tracker includes a complete Fire and Ice Hatch Day section for:
| Hatch Day objective | Available during the event |
|---|---|
| Hatch Smoochum | Yes |
| Hatch Shiny Smoochum | Increased chance |
| Hatch Magby | Yes |
| Hatch Shiny Magby | Increased chance |
| Hatch Larvesta | Possible from 5 km Eggs |
| Hatch Shiny Larvesta | Possible |
| Complete Timed Research | Yes |
| Claim the Incubator reward | Yes |
The Hatch Day section has its own countdown and completion progress, while remaining part of the wider Summer Marathon tracker.
Summer Marathon: Arctic Embers Event Tracker- Fire and Ice Hatch Day Bonuses
The following bonuses will be active during Fire and Ice Hatch Day:
- Twice the Candy from hatching Eggs
- Half Egg Hatch Distance
- Increased chance of hatching Shiny Smoochum
- Increased chance of hatching Shiny Magby
- Increased chance of receiving 2 km Eggs from PokéStops
The Egg Hatch Distance and hatch Candy bonuses do not stack with similar bonuses from other Pokémon GO events or GO Passes.
Players who have unlocked quarter Egg Hatch Distance through GO Pass Deluxe should therefore not expect another Hatch Day reduction to be added on top.
Complete the Fire and Ice Hatch Day Timed Research
Free event-exclusive Timed Research will be available during Fire and Ice Hatch Day.
Its rewards include:
- An Incubator
- XP
The research and its rewards must be completed and claimed before Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. local time.
Use the tracker to record the research as soon as it has been completed, particularly because Hatch Day lasts for only six hours.
How the Summer Marathon: Arctic Embers Event Tracker Works
The tracker saves progress locally in your browser.
When you mark a Pokémon, Shiny, Hundo, Egg hatch or reward as complete, the information remains saved on that device. You can close the page and return later without starting again.
The tracker also includes:
- An overall completion percentage
- Live event countdowns
- Current-day featured Pokémon
- Individual section progress
- Daily event objectives
- A separate Fire and Ice Hatch Day panel
- A shareable progress summary
Progress is device-specific. Opening the tracker on a different phone, tablet, computer or browser will start a separate tracker.
Why Use the Summer Marathon: Arctic Embers Event Tracker?
An event guide tells you what is available. The Summer Marathon: Arctic Embers Event Tracker helps you remember what you have actually completed.
It is particularly useful for players who want to:
- Find Shiny Snom
- Catch all four rotating featured Pokémon
- Search for event Hundos
- Hatch every Pokémon in the 5 km Egg pool
- Complete the GO Pass
- Claim all research rewards
- Track Fire and Ice Hatch Day progress
- Attempt to complete the entire event
Your saved progress means you can use the tracker from the beginning of Arctic Embers until the event ends without relying on notes, screenshots or memory.

The free Timed Research also expires at that time.
GO Pass rewards remain available to claim until Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Any unlocked rewards that have not been claimed by the deadline will expire.
