Pokémon GO Fest 2026 Global Sunday Raid Battles are returning for a special one-day event after Niantic confirmed it will compensate players affected by technical issues during Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global.
The developer says Trainers in Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (UTC+14 through UTC+0) experienced problems joining Raid Battles during the original event. While Raid Passes weren’t consumed, the issue prevented many players from taking part in raids as intended.
To make up for the disruption, Niantic is bringing back dozens of raid bosses, including Mega Mewtwo Y Super Mega Raids, for one day only.

Why Is Pokémon GO Holding Another Sunday Raid Event?
Niantic confirmed the event is being held after a technical issue during Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global prevented many Trainers in eligible regions from joining Raid Battles.
Although Raid Passes weren’t used, affected players missed out on much of the event’s raid content. This special Sunday Raid Battles event is intended to give those Trainers another opportunity to battle many of GO Fest’s featured Legendary, Mythical and Mega Pokémon.

With unlimited Remote Raids for part of the weekend, nine free Raid Passes and an enormous raid lineup, July 26 is shaping up to be one of the biggest raid days of the year.
