Speed Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO encounters give Trainers the chance to catch the fastest Deoxys form. It has more balanced stats than Attack Forme Deoxys, but its limited damage output and awkward moveset prevent it from becoming a leading raid attacker or GO Battle League option.
This Speed Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO guide covers its shiny availability, weaknesses, strongest raid counters, perfect IV catch CP, best moveset and whether it is worth using.

Can Speed Forme Deoxys Be Shiny in Pokémon GO?
Yes, shiny Speed Forme Deoxys is available in Pokémon GO.
Regular Speed Forme Deoxys has an orange and blue body with black markings and long, streamlined limbs. Shiny Speed Forme Deoxys changes the orange sections to bright yellow while keeping the blue and black details.
The colour difference is easy to recognise once the shiny version appears during the catch encounter.
A shiny encounter is not guaranteed after winning a Speed Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO raid. Trainers may need to complete several raids before finding the shiny version.
Speed Forme Deoxys will not appear shiny during the raid battle itself. The shiny check happens after the boss has been defeated and the catch encounter begins.
Speed Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO Weaknesses
The Speed Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO weaknesses are:
- Bug-type attacks
- Dark-type attacks
- Ghost-type attacks
As a pure Psychic-type Pokémon, Speed Forme Deoxys resists:
- Fighting-type attacks
- Psychic-type attacks
Dark Pokémon are often the safest counters because they resist Psychic damage while dealing super-effective damage in return.
Ghost-type attackers can produce very high damage, although some may faint quickly if Speed Forme Deoxys has a strong Charged Attack.
Foggy weather boosts Dark and Ghost-type attacks. Rainy weather boosts Bug-type attacks, while Windy weather boosts Speed Forme Deoxys and increases its catch CP after the raid.
Best Speed Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO Raid Counters
The best Speed Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO counters are powerful Dark and Ghost-type attackers using matching Fast and Charged Attacks.
| Pokémon | Recommended moves |
|---|---|
| Dawn Wings Necrozma | Shadow Claw and Moongeist Beam |
| Mega Tyranitar | Bite and Brutal Swing |
| Mega Gengar | Lick and Shadow Ball |
| Shadow Tyranitar | Bite and Brutal Swing |
| Mega Banette | Shadow Claw and Shadow Ball |
| Shadow Chandelure | Hex and Shadow Ball |
| Hydreigon | Bite and Brutal Swing |
| Giratina Origin Forme | Shadow Claw and Shadow Force |
| Darkrai | Snarl and Shadow Ball |
| Gholdengo | Hex and Shadow Ball |
Dawn Wings Necrozma is one of the strongest Speed Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO raid counters available.
Mega Tyranitar combines strong Dark-type damage with excellent resistance to Psychic attacks. Mega Gengar deals more explosive damage but may need more careful use because of its lower durability.
Some recommended attacks, including Moongeist Beam and Shadow Force, may require an Elite Charged TM when they are unavailable through normal TMs.
Trainers without top-tier Mega, Shadow or Legendary Pokémon can use ordinary Tyranitar, Hydreigon, Chandelure, Gengar or Weavile.
How Many Trainers Are Needed to Beat Speed Forme Deoxys?
Speed Forme Deoxys has more Defence than the Attack and Normal Formes, but it is still manageable with a small prepared group.
Two experienced Trainers with strong counters may be able to defeat it under favourable conditions. Most players should aim for at least three or four Trainers.
| Group size | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| One Trainer | Not normally possible |
| Two Trainers | Possible with excellent counters |
| Three Trainers | Achievable with strong teams |
| Four or more | Recommended for most groups |
A larger Speed Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO raid group may be needed when counters are underlevelled, friendship bonuses are unavailable or players are using the automatically recommended party.
Party Power, Mega Evolution bonuses, Foggy weather and high friendship levels can make the battle considerably easier.
Speed Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO Perfect IV CP
The perfect IV Speed Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO catch values are:
| Encounter conditions | Perfect IV CP |
|---|---|
| Level 20 without weather boost | 1,645 CP |
| Level 25 with Windy weather | 2,056 CP |
A Speed Forme Deoxys caught at 1,645 CP after a standard non-weather-boosted raid will have perfect 15/15/15 IVs.
A Windy weather-boosted Speed Forme Deoxys caught at 2,056 CP will also have perfect IVs.
Deoxys cannot be traded, so Trainers need to catch their preferred IV combination directly.
Use Golden Razz Berries and wait for the attack animation before throwing to improve the chance of landing an Excellent Curveball Throw.
Best Speed Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO Moveset
The best Speed Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO moveset for general use is:
- Fast Attack: Zen Headbutt
- Charged Attack: Psycho Boost
Speed Forme Deoxys may have access to:
Fast Attacks
- Zen Headbutt
- Charge Beam
Charged Attacks
- Psycho Boost
- Swift
- Thunderbolt
Zen Headbutt and Psycho Boost give Speed Forme Deoxys a complete Psychic-type moveset and allow both attacks to benefit from the same-type attack bonus.
Charge Beam generates energy and provides Electric-type damage, while Thunderbolt gives coverage against Water and Flying-type opponents.
Swift is relatively inexpensive but does not provide useful super-effective coverage.
The Speed Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO moveset is functional, but it lacks the combination of power and flexibility needed to make the form a leading raid or PvP option.
Is Speed Forme Deoxys Good in Pokémon GO Raids?
Speed Forme Deoxys is not considered a strong raid attacker.
Its Attack stat is lower than those of Normal and Attack Forme Deoxys, while its moveset does not provide enough damage to compete with stronger Psychic Pokémon.
Better Psychic-type raid attackers include:
- Mega Alakazam
- Shadow Mewtwo
- Mewtwo
- Mega Latios
- Hoopa Unbound
- Lunala
The Speed Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO raid role is therefore limited. It can deal Psychic-type damage, but it should not normally receive large amounts of Rare Candy or Stardust for raid use.
Is Speed Forme Deoxys Good in PvP?
Speed Forme Deoxys has limited value in the GO Battle League.
Its stats are more balanced than those of Attack Forme Deoxys, but it lacks the enormous bulk and stronger PvP moveset of Defense Forme Deoxys.
A possible Speed Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO PvP moveset is:
- Fast Attack: Charge Beam
- Charged Attack: Psycho Boost
- Second Charged Attack: Thunderbolt
Psycho Boost deals strong Psychic damage but lowers the user’s Attack after use. Thunderbolt provides useful coverage against Water and Flying-type opponents.
Despite this coverage, Speed Forme Deoxys struggles to compete with more efficient Psychic-type PvP choices.
Defense Forme Deoxys remains the best Deoxys investment for Trainers focused on the Great League or Ultra League.
What Is Speed Forme Deoxys?
Deoxys is a Mythical Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It was created when the DNA of an extraterrestrial virus mutated after being exposed to a laser beam.
Speed Forme Deoxys changes its body to maximise movement and reaction speed. Its limbs become streamlined, while its overall body appears narrower than the other forms.
The four Deoxys forms are:
- Normal Forme Deoxys
- Attack Forme Deoxys
- Defense Forme Deoxys
- Speed Forme Deoxys
An alien virus that fell to earth on a meteor underwent a DNA mutation to become this Pokémon.
Base stat total: 600
Is Speed Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO Worth Raiding?
Speed Forme Deoxys Pokémon GO raids are worth completing for the Pokédex entry, shiny chance, Deoxys Candy and the opportunity to complete the full Deoxys collection.
It is not a priority raid or PvP investment. Its balanced stats and limited moveset prevent it from standing out in either format.
Collectors may still want to continue raiding for shiny Speed Forme Deoxys, perfect IVs or additional Deoxys Candy that can be used on Defense Forme Deoxys.
