Sea of Thieves Loquacious Figurehead is now tied to a limited Microsoft Rewards promotion launching with Season 21. Instead of completing a Voyage or earning Renown, players need to use Microsoft Rewards points on a participating Ancient Coins offer that explicitly includes the Loquacious Figurehead as an additional promotional item.
The unusual part of the Sea of Thieves Loquacious Figurehead promotion is that the cosmetic is attached to qualifying Ancient Coin bundles rather than sold as a normal standalone Pirate Emporium item. That makes checking the exact Rewards offer before redeeming points important, because Xbox only describes the figurehead as included with participating bundles for a limited time.
How to get the Sea of Thieves Loquacious Figurehead

To get the Sea of Thieves Loquacious Figurehead, sign in to Microsoft Rewards with the Microsoft account connected to Sea of Thieves and look for the participating Ancient Coin redemption offers. Choose an offer that visibly includes the Loquacious Figurehead before confirming the points redemption.
- Open Microsoft Rewards while signed into the account you use for Sea of Thieves.
- Find the available Sea of Thieves Ancient Coin rewards.
- Check the offer details for the Loquacious Figurehead bonus.
- Redeem the qualifying bundle with Rewards points.
- Launch or restart Sea of Thieves on the same Microsoft account.
Do not assume every Ancient Coin option automatically includes the Sea of Thieves Loquacious Figurehead. Xbox has not published a universal points cost or a list of every qualifying bundle size in the Season 21 announcement. The safest check is whether the figurehead is shown as part of the specific Rewards offer you are about to redeem.
Is the Loquacious Figurehead a Microsoft Rewards prize?
The Sea of Thieves Loquacious Figurehead is a promotional bonus attached to Ancient Coin bundles, not the grand prize in the Golden Legends sweepstakes. Both promotions use Microsoft Rewards and launched around the same time, which makes them easy to confuse.
The Golden Legends Sweepstakes is a separate prize draw for hardware and subscriptions. Spending or completing an entry there does not itself unlock the figurehead. Look specifically for the Ancient Coins offer carrying the cosmetic.
How long is the figurehead available?
Xbox describes the Sea of Thieves Loquacious Figurehead as a limited-time addition to participating Ancient Coin bundles, but the Season 21 announcement does not give the figurehead its own precise end date. Do not automatically use the October 31 end date from the Golden Legends sweepstakes or Vociferous Speaking Trumpet promotion as the figurehead deadline.
That makes the live Rewards listing the important place to check before spending points. If the bonus is no longer displayed on the Ancient Coin offer, there is no basis for assuming the figurehead will be granted afterwards.
What happens after redeeming the Ancient Coins?
After a qualifying redemption, launch Sea of Thieves with the same Microsoft account. The Ancient Coins should be added to the account normally, while the Sea of Thieves Loquacious Figurehead is the promotional cosmetic entitlement attached to that offer. Restart the game if it was already running when the redemption was completed.
Figureheads are ship cosmetics, so once the entitlement has reached the account you can use the normal ship customisation options to equip it. The reward does not change ship stats or provide a gameplay advantage.
How this promotion differs from the other Season 21 rewards
The Sea of Thieves Loquacious Figurehead does not use the new Parley Pennant. That challenge awards the Parley Proficiency Sails after three qualifying crew encounters. The Vociferous Speaking Trumpet is instead a Game Pass in-game benefit.
Season 21 also has a normal Renown track ending with the Flame’s Light Lantern, plus a separate Twitch campaign. Keeping those routes separate saves you from grinding the wrong activity for a reward that actually comes from an account promotion.
Before you spend Microsoft Rewards points
The best final check for the Sea of Thieves Loquacious Figurehead is the offer card itself. Make sure the correct Microsoft account is signed in, make sure the Ancient Coin bundle explicitly displays the cosmetic, and only then confirm the Rewards redemption.
Xbox confirms the limited Ancient Coin bundle promotion in its Season 21 launch announcement. The Sea of Thieves Loquacious Figurehead is therefore a Microsoft Rewards acquisition rather than an in-game objective, Pirate Emporium purchase or Twitch Drop.
