Sea of Thieves Vociferous Speaking Trumpet: How to Get It

Sea of Thieves Vociferous Speaking Trumpet is one of the easiest Season 21 rewards to miss because it is not earned by completing a voyage, raising Renown or buying something from the Pirate Emporium. It is being distributed as an Xbox Game Pass in-game benefit for a limited period around Talk Like a Pirate Day and the launch of the new season.

The useful part is that there is no multi-stage challenge attached to the Sea of Thieves Vociferous Speaking Trumpet. Eligible Game Pass subscribers simply need to claim the benefit while it is available, then make sure the reward reaches the same Xbox and Sea of Thieves account they actually use to sail.

How to get the Sea of Thieves Vociferous Speaking Trumpet

The Sea of Thieves Vociferous Speaking Trumpet is available as an Xbox Game Pass benefit from September 17 through October 31, 2026. Open the Game Pass benefits or perks area while signed into the account linked to Sea of Thieves, find the Season 21 Sea of Thieves offer and claim it before the promotional window closes.

There is no requirement in the announcement to complete the Free Play Weekend, use the new Parley Pennant or earn a particular amount of Season 21 Renown. The Sea of Thieves Vociferous Speaking Trumpet is a separate subscription benefit, which is why players who spend the week chasing the Parley Proficiency Sails could easily overlook it.

When the Game Pass benefit is available

The claim period begins on September 17, the same day Season 21 starts, and ends on October 31. That gives the Sea of Thieves Vociferous Speaking Trumpet a much longer window than the September Talk Like a Pirate Day activities and the September Twitch Drops campaign.

Claiming it early is still sensible. Limited benefits can disappear from storefront and benefits menus after their stated end date, and there is no reason to leave this one until the final evening. Once the Sea of Thieves Vociferous Speaking Trumpet has been successfully redeemed to the correct account, it becomes an in-game cosmetic rather than a task that has to be repeated every session.

What to check if the reward is not appearing

First confirm that the Xbox profile claiming the benefit is the profile connected to the Sea of Thieves account you use. If you play across Xbox, PC or another supported platform, account linking matters more than the device on which you pressed the claim button. Restarting the game after redemption is also worth doing so the entitlement can refresh.

If the Sea of Thieves Vociferous Speaking Trumpet does not appear immediately, check the benefit is marked as claimed and avoid redeeming anything on a second account while troubleshooting. Xbox has announced the item as an in-game Game Pass benefit, but it has not published a separate gameplay challenge that can be completed to force an unlock.

How this reward differs from the other Talk Like a Pirate Day items

Season 21 launches with several similarly themed rewards, but their unlock methods are deliberately different. The Parley Proficiency Sails come from using the Parley Pennant around other ships during the in-game event, while the Loquacious Figurehead is tied to eligible Ancient Coin bundles obtained through Microsoft Rewards.

The Sea of Thieves Vociferous Speaking Trumpet therefore belongs in the easy-to-claim category. You do not need to spend Microsoft Rewards points on Ancient Coins or watch six hours of Twitch. You only need an eligible Game Pass subscription and a successful claim during the September 17 to October 31 window.
