Pokémon GO Sparkle O’Clock is a Festival of Lights feature that creates four five-minute spawn bursts each evening in India, giving players short windows to find costume Pikachu and a pool of Shiny-eligible event Pokémon.
The mechanic rewards preparation more than long grinding sessions. Since each burst lasts only five minutes, storage, Poké Balls and a safe playable location should be ready before each scheduled start.

Pokémon GO Sparkle O’Clock times

Pokémon GO Sparkle O’Clock happens at 6:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. local time during the November 6 to 8 Festival of Lights event.
| Start | Ends |
|---|---|
| 6:00 p.m. | 6:05 p.m. |
| 6:30 p.m. | 6:35 p.m. |
| 7:00 p.m. | 7:05 p.m. |
| 7:30 p.m. | 7:35 p.m. |
Those four bursts add up to only twenty minutes of Pokémon GO Sparkle O’Clock each day, so missing a start time matters.
All Sparkle O’Clock spawns
The confirmed pool includes Charmander, Saree Pikachu, Kurta Pikachu, Chinchou, Mareep, Camerupt, Litwick, Lampent, Morelull and Tadbulb.
Every announced Pokémon GO Sparkle O’Clock Pokémon is Shiny eligible. Saree and Kurta Pikachu can also carry the Festival of Lights Special Background.
How to prepare for each five-minute window
- Clear Pokémon storage before 6:00 p.m.
- Stock Poké Balls and Berries in advance.
- Stand in a safe area with reliable spawn density.
- Prioritise the costume Pikachu if backgrounds are your main goal.
- Use the time between bursts for storage and item management.
Because Pokémon GO Sparkle O’Clock is so short, stopping to manage storage or move between distant areas can consume a large percentage of the available time.
Does Lure duration affect Sparkle O’Clock?
Festival of Lights gives 3× Lure Module duration and Lures attract a related event pool throughout the event. That bonus is useful between scheduled windows but should not be confused with the separate five-minute Pokémon GO Sparkle O’Clock burst.
Use long-duration Lures as background coverage and treat each Sparkle window as a concentrated layer on top.
Is Sparkle O’Clock available outside India?
No worldwide rollout is announced. Pokémon GO Sparkle O’Clock is part of the India-exclusive Festival of Lights 2026 event, so players outside India should not expect the scheduled bursts locally.
A costume Pikachu caught in India can later be traded under normal rules, but the scheduled spawn mechanic itself is tied to the event region.
The complete Pokémon GO Sparkle O’Clock spawn pool
There are ten announced Pokémon in the increased wild encounters: Charmander, Pikachu wearing a saree, Pikachu wearing a kurta, Chinchou, Mareep, Camerupt, Litwick, Lampent, Morelull and Tadbulb. Each is Shiny eligible. Both costumed Pikachu can also have the Festival of Lights Special Background, independently of whether a catch is Shiny.
The costumes are the main reason to prioritise these windows: they are not included in Niantic’s separate boosted Lure Module list. If you want both costumes from wild encounters, use the short bursts rather than assuming a three-times-duration Lure will bring them to you on demand.
How to plan all four five-minute appearances
In India, the first window opens at 6:00 p.m. and closes at 6:05 p.m. The others are 6:30–6:35, 7:00–7:05 and 7:30–7:35 p.m. IST, on November 6, 7 and 8. That is twenty minutes of increased appearances per day, divided into four sessions rather than one long spotlight.
Clear storage and restock Poké Balls before 6:00 p.m. Choose a safe walking area with PokéStops close together, watch for the costume Pikachu, and use the breaks to catch up on inventory. If a Pikachu shows a special costume, check its caught Pokémon summary for the background after the encounter rather than assuming the costume itself guarantees it.
Sparkle O’Clock versus normal Lure Module encounters
Festival of Lights also boosts Lure Module duration to three times its usual length. Lures are especially helpful for Charmander, Chinchou, Mareep, Camerupt, Litwick, Lampent, Morelull and Tadbulb. Those are the named Lure encounters; the two costumed Pikachu are in the Sparkle O’Clock pool instead.
Pokémon GO Sparkle O’Clock runs only during the India-exclusive November 6–8 event. The announced local appearances are not a worldwide spotlight hour. Friends outside India can still follow the schedule, but the event does not switch on their local wild spawns.
