How to Get Bramblin in Pokémon GO is one of the main questions around Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek, because the Grass- and Ghost-type Pokémon makes its Pokémon GO debut during the October 13 to October 19, 2026 event. Bramblin is available from regular Incense, event Field Research and GO Pass tasks rather than being announced as a standard wild spawn.
The good news for anyone researching How to Get Bramblin in Pokémon GO is that all three confirmed methods are available during the same week. Incense is a repeatable encounter route, the event Field Research requires earning Buddy Candy, and the free GO Pass provides Bramblin at Ranks 30 and 60.

How to Get Bramblin in Pokémon GO during Fall Marathon
How to Get Bramblin in Pokémon GO Image Pokémon GO.
There are three confirmed answers to How to Get Bramblin in Pokémon GO during Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek: use Incense, complete event Field Research, or progress GO Pass tasks. The event begins October 13 at 10:00 a.m. local time and ends October 19 at 8:00 p.m. local time.
- Use regular Incense during the event.
- Collect event Field Research from PokéStops.
- Complete GO Pass: Fall Marathon tasks that award Bramblin encounters.
Bramblin is not included in the official normal wild-encounter list. That matters because simply walking around without Incense should not be treated as a reliable method unless the live event later adds an unannounced wild route.
Use Incense to encounter Bramblin
The most repeatable How to Get Bramblin in Pokémon GO method is Incense. Pokémon GO specifically says Bramblin will be attracted to Incense during both halves of Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek. Daily Adventure Incense does not count for this event pool, so use normal Incense from your Item Bag.
| Dates | Incense encounters |
|---|---|
| October 13, 10:00 a.m. to October 16, 10:00 a.m. | Galarian Ponyta, Hoppip, Electrike, Dwebble, Bramblin |
| October 16, 10:00 a.m. to October 19, 8:00 p.m. | Hisuian Growlithe, Nincada, Electrike, Helioptile, Bramblin |
GO Pass Rank 10 makes this route even better by extending event Incense to two hours. If Bramblin is your priority, reaching Rank 10 before spending a large stack of Incense gives you more time per item to generate event encounters.
Get Bramblin from Field Research
Field Research is the second confirmed route for How to Get Bramblin in Pokémon GO. Event-themed tasks will be available from PokéStops, and Bramblin is named among the possible encounter rewards alongside Doduo and Electrike.
The exact task is Earn a Candy exploring with your Buddy. Its possible encounter rewards are Bramblin or Electrike, so completing the task does not guarantee Bramblin every time. Find the event Field Research by spinning PokéStops during Fall Marathon, then earn a Buddy Candy to complete the objective. Walking alone will not finish it until your Buddy actually earns Candy.
Get Bramblin through the Fall Marathon GO Pass
GO Pass tasks are the third answer to How to Get Bramblin in Pokémon GO. If Incense luck is poor, How to Get Bramblin in Pokémon GO through the Pass becomes an especially useful backup route. The free Fall Marathon GO Pass is automatically available when the event starts, and Pokémon GO confirms Bramblin as an encounter obtainable through Pass tasks.
You earn GO Points by completing Pass Tasks and ranking up through the event track. The free GO Pass rewards a Bramblin encounter at Rank 30 and another at Rank 60. These are fixed encounter milestones, not random Field Research rewards. GO Pass Deluxe adds extra rewards, but buying it is not necessary to claim the free Bramblin encounters. Our complete 60-rank GO Pass rewards table lists every free and paid milestone.
Can Bramblin be Shiny in Pokémon GO?
No Shiny Bramblin debut is announced for Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek. In the official event post, Pokémon that can be Shiny are marked with an asterisk in the encounter lists, while Bramblin is not. For How to Get Bramblin in Pokémon GO, treat the October event as a Pokédex and evolution hunt rather than a Shiny hunt unless Pokémon GO later announces a change.
How many Bramblin should you catch?
Try to catch enough Bramblin to cover the evolution into Brambleghast and still keep a good individual Bramblin if you collect living Pokédex entries. Current Pokémon GO data lists 50 Bramblin Candy for the evolution, so Pinap Berries can reduce the number of encounters needed.
Our How to Evolve Bramblin Into Brambleghast in Pokémon GO guide covers that requirement, while the Fall Marathon Buddy Trek guide covers the wider event. You can also use the main Pokémon GO hub for current raids, research and event coverage.
The official Fall Marathon announcement confirms the Incense, Field Research and GO Pass methods behind How to Get Bramblin in Pokémon GO. If you want the highest number of checks, normal Incense is the route to build around, with research and Pass encounters adding extra chances throughout the week.
