Dynamax Sobble Pokémon GO is back in the spotlight during the September 28 to October 4 Max Battle rotation, giving Trainers another clean route to a Dynamax-capable Sobble and its full evolution line. The Water-type starter is an easy Max Battle target, but the real value is what happens after the catch: it can stay Dynamax-capable as it evolves into Drizzile and Inteleon.
For anyone who missed earlier rotations, Dynamax Sobble Pokémon GO is more useful now than it was at its original Dynamax debut. Shiny Sobble is available, Hydro Cannon has already been released for Inteleon, and a good Dynamax catch can become a serious Water attacker for future Max Battles while remaining separate from Gigantamax Inteleon.

Dynamax Sobble Pokémon GO appears in one-star Max Battles at Power Spots during the current rotation from September 28 through October 4, 2026. Sobble is also the featured Max Monday Pokémon on September 28, making today the easiest point in the rotation to find multiple battles close together.
One-star difficulty means Dynamax Sobble Pokémon GO is a realistic solo for most established accounts. Grass- and Electric-type Max attackers exploit Sobble’s only two weaknesses, so there is no need to burn a Max Mushroom or assemble a large group for this particular boss.
| Detail | Current information |

| Weaknesses | Grass and Electric |
| Shiny | Available |
| Evolution | 25 Candy to Drizzile, then 100 Candy to Inteleon |
How the Dynamax evolution line works
After you catch Dynamax Sobble Pokémon GO, evolving it does not remove the Dynamax capability. A Dynamax Sobble becomes Dynamax Drizzile for 25 Sobble Candy, then Dynamax Inteleon for another 100 Candy. This is one of the best reasons to care about IVs before spending Candy.
The important distinction is that Dynamax and Gigantamax are not interchangeable. Dynamax Sobble Pokémon GO can become a Dynamax Inteleon, but it does not gain the Gigantamax Factor through evolution. Gigantamax Inteleon must come from an eligible Gigantamax encounter.
Shiny Dynamax Sobble and what to keep
Shiny eligibility now applies to Dynamax Sobble Pokémon GO because Shiny Sobble was released during July 2026 Community Day. A Shiny Dynamax Sobble can be evolved through the same Candy chain, giving you Shiny Dynamax Drizzile and Shiny Dynamax Inteleon.
For investment, prioritise high Attack and strong overall IVs if your goal is Max Battle damage. Keep a Shiny even with weaker IVs if collection value matters, and avoid transferring a strong Dynamax Sobble Pokémon GO until you have compared it with the rest of your Water-type Max roster.
Best next steps after catching one
If you only catch one Dynamax Sobble Pokémon GO, the safest play is to keep it unevolved until you know whether you want a collector piece, a Dynamax Inteleon, or an Inteleon built around Hydro Cannon. Max Move upgrades also consume resources, so there is little benefit in spending immediately on a weak catch.
Use our Dynamax Sobble Max Battle counters guide for the fight itself, then check Dynamax Sobble evolution before committing Candy. The broader Pokémon GO Dynamax guide explains Power Spots, Max Battles and how the system fits together.
For the current rotation, the smartest use of storage is to keep several Sobble catches until the week is nearly over. Comparing Attack, Defense and HP across multiple encounters costs nothing, while Candy, Stardust and Max Move upgrades are permanent investments. That gives you room to separate a battle build from a Shiny or collection copy instead of expecting one catch to do everything.
A useful Water-type Max attacker also fills a different role from a normal raid attacker. The Max Battle version needs the correct Fast Attack to shape its attacking Max Move, enough bulk to survive longer encounters and sensible investment in its Max skills. Judge the catch on that job first, then consider conventional raid or PvP value afterwards.
Dynamax Sobble Pokémon GO Summary
Dynamax Sobble Pokémon GO is a low-risk Max Battle catch with unusually good long-term upside because the Pokémon can remain Dynamax-capable all the way to Inteleon. With Shiny eligibility live and Hydro Cannon already part of Inteleon’s legacy move options, this rotation is worth using for both collectors and Max Battle players.
