ATMOSFAR Early Access launched on Steam on Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 4 PM GMT. Its regular UK price is £22.49, with a ten-percent launch discount bringing it to £20.24 until November 12. Apog Labs developed the floating-island survival game, published by Shueisha Games.
The launch build includes two regions, three Wasp classes, the Cloud Cruiser and solo or online co-op with up to four players. The Scout Wasp, third Rime region and ending to the story are scheduled for later Early Access updates rather than being part of the October release.
ATMOSFAR Early Access release time and UK price

Apog Labs announced a worldwide release at 17:00 Central European Time on October 29. That was 16:00 GMT in the UK after the clock change. Shueisha Games dated its Japanese announcement October 30 because the release happened after midnight there. Steam is the current platform, with an Epic Games Store version planned for a later date.
The standard prices for ATMOSFAR Early Access are £22.49, $24.99 and €25.49. An introductory ten-percent Steam discount runs through November 12, taking the UK price to £20.24. The developer plans a slight rise in the base price before version 1.0, but customers who buy during Early Access own the game as development continues.
What is included in ATMOSFAR Early Access at launch?
The first two major regions contain floating islands, smaller islets, changing terrain, story missions and exploration objectives. Players can fly the Utility Wasp, Hauler Wasp and Striker Wasp. The Utility carries a deployable camp, the Hauler moves heavy salvage using a magnet and the Striker has quick acceleration and weapons for dealing with threats.
Crafting, research, gathering, backpack electricity, hydrogen fuel and aircraft repairs are playable features. The Cloud Cruiser gives you a large moving base with modules for fuel, storage, power and Wasp operations. Exploring on foot, defending yourself from hostile wildlife and flying through difficult weather are all part of ATMOSFAR Early Access at launch.
Scout Wasp and Rime update roadmap
The Scout is a fast exploration aircraft designed to scan resources and hazards. It is scheduled to arrive in the Rime Update alongside the third and last major region, where the story will reach its conclusion. Players in the October launch build should use Utility, Hauler and Striker instead of searching for a Scout unlock that has not been added yet.
The published roadmap progresses through the Vagabond update, the Rime update, Blue Side, Singularity and then version 1.0. Vagabond focuses on early quality-of-life improvements. Blue Side is planned to expand the camp, Wasps and Cloud Cruiser. The airship and its core building systems are already available, with additional features arriving later.
How long will ATMOSFAR Early Access last?

Steam initially described a period of at least nine months, while Apog Labs’ October 27 blog estimated roughly nine to twelve months of Early Access development. The roadmap covers new content, performance fixes and changes based on player feedback. Version 1.0 follows the Early Access period, which Apog Labs currently estimates at nine to twelve months.
An experimental Steam branch also lets owners test development changes ahead of normal releases. The first EA 1.0-4 hotfix on October 29 addressed the bug-reporting panel, a DLAA rendering-performance problem, lost research drives and a Pearl Island tutorial respawn issue. Steam installs the release-branch hotfix automatically when the game updates, so check that the download has finished before you play.
What to play first
Start with the Utility Wasp, learn to make liquid hydrogen and deploy your portable Camp Hub. Gather scrap and craft the components you need for repairs before attempting longer island routes. After reaching the Cloud Cruiser, expand its facilities and bring the appropriate Wasp for each expedition rather than using one vehicle for every task.
ATMOSFAR Early Access supports single-player and online co-op for up to four. Friends can fly in formation, share expeditions and work on the same Cloud Cruiser. Start with the beginner and Wasp guides to learn the launch systems, then explore the current regions before the later Rime update adds the final one.
