ATMOSFAR Cloud Cruiser is the enormous customisable airship that becomes your moving base as you progress through the story. Unlike the Utility Wasp’s small portable camp, the Cruiser can house your crew, several Wasps, storage, fuel processing, research equipment and larger building modules.
The ATMOSFAR Cloud Cruiser is included in the October 2026 Early Access release. You gain access to it through progression and bring the vessel into operation before expanding its structure. The most useful first additions are power, fuel capacity, Wasp pads and space for the materials needed to sustain longer expeditions.
ATMOSFAR Cloud Cruiser: getting your airship running

Progress beyond the early Utility Wasp and portable-camp objectives until the story introduces the large airship. It needs to be brought into working order before you can use it as a moving base. Follow the story objectives to get the Cruiser running, then build out the systems your crew needs for longer flights.
Before expanding the ATMOSFAR Cloud Cruiser, consider the systems that keep the ship functional: a helm for navigation, a source of electricity, storage for recovered materials and the fuel needed for thrust. The ship is a genuine mobile platform, so building it is also about reaching other islands, not just decorating the interior like a fixed ground base.
Building modules and expanding the base
The ATMOSFAR Cloud Cruiser can be assembled from modular sections as your needs grow. Create space for storage, machinery, research, plants and living areas while keeping useful routes between facilities. Additional hull sections can turn a compact base into a larger expedition vessel capable of housing multiple crew members.
Wasp pads let you carry aircraft aboard the ship; fuel tanks and hydrogen refineries help keep those vehicles operating. You can place furniture and other facilities to personalise the space. The official roadmap also promises larger building-system expansions in a later Blue Side update, but the core construction system already works in Early Access.
ATMOSFAR Cloud Cruiser power and fuel systems
Most Cruiser systems run on electricity, while liquid hydrogen powers propulsion. Nuclear reactor cores are an important source of onboard electricity. Processing modules, refrigeration for hydrogen storage and other machines all draw from the available electrical supply, so keep generation balanced against consumption.
Hydrogen refineries turn crystals brought back from island expeditions into liquid fuel. Keep an eye on electricity as well: processing equipment uses power, and hydrogen tanks rely on cooling to maintain their contents.
Hauler Wasp and the cargo lift

Heavy scrap collected with the Hauler Wasp is too bulky to bring through ordinary doors. The Cruiser’s cargo lift provides a larger opening for recovered objects, with conveyor equipment routing material into storage. Organise salvaging trips around the cargo lift when collecting major components or supplies for expanding your airship.
The Cruiser works best as the centre of your fleet, rather than a replacement for every Wasp. Deploy the Utility for local camps, Hauler for heavy salvage and Striker for fast or dangerous routes. Dock and refuel the aircraft at the base between missions, then pilot the main ship towards the next region.
Best early expansion priorities
First prioritise enough electricity to keep core machinery functioning, reliable hydrogen storage, Wasp parking and a clear storage area for scrap. Add research and crafting stations for new equipment, then choose comfort and decoration modules. This avoids building a huge hull before you have the energy and resources to use it effectively.
Bring back technology and materials from the two launch regions to keep expanding your airship. The ATMOSFAR Cloud Cruiser already supports building, travel, aircraft storage and shared expeditions. The later Blue Side update is planned to expand these systems.
