Sims 4 free Elder items arrived with the free October 27, 2026 update. The collection adds two hairstyles, four clothes, five recolours, four Styled Looks, 11 Build/Buy items, one Styled Room and four Elder Gallery Sims. EA has published the official object names, so you can find the individual pieces rather than hunting through the catalogue.
The new clothes and furniture are free base-game additions, and both hairstyles can also be used by Adults. Below are EA’s item names, where to find them and what to check if something isn’t showing up.
How to get the Sims 4 free Elder items
Update The Sims 4 through the EA app, Steam or your console’s game-update system, then launch the game. The Sims 4 free Elder items are part of the free base-game patch. There is no code, limited-time login reward or additional Marketplace purchase to claim. Existing saves can use the additions after updating.
In Create a Sim, select an Elder and browse hairstyles, tops, full-body outfits and bottoms to find the new clothing. Two of the hairstyles also support Adults. To see the furniture, enter Build Mode and search by its item name or browse the corresponding chairs, sofas, beds, lighting, décor and wall coverings. You don’t need the Businesses & Hobbies expansion for any of these free items.
Sims 4 free Elder items: hairstyles, clothes and recolours
The Sims 4 free Elder items now have confirmed item names in EA’s final patch notes. The four new clothing pieces are separate from five recolours of existing clothes, so look for the extra colour swatches on familiar outfits.

Both hairstyles are available to Adults and Elders. The five recolours add swatches to existing garments, rather than five extra clothing items.
EA also includes four Styled Looks in Create a Sim. These are ready-made outfits you can select or customise. If you can’t spot an item while filtering for one style, clear your CAS filters and check the broader clothing category before assuming it didn’t download.

The Sims 4 free Elder items include the following 11 Build/Buy catalogue entries, using EA’s exact names. Searching for these names in Build Mode is easier than guessing what EA calls a particular chair, curtain or light.

Heritage Home Drapery comes in standard, Wide and Extra Wide versions, counted as three of the 11 objects. There is also one free Styled Room you can place directly from the room catalogue.
Four free Elder Sims in the Gallery
The new Gallery household contains Raven Ballard, Elena Marquez, Daniel Kwon and Malik Nasir, dressed in the collection’s looks. Open the Gallery and look for the household containing those four Sims before adding it to your Library or a save. You do not need to download the household to use the new CAS and Build/Buy items.
Are the Sims 4 free Elder items available only for Elders?
No. The collection is free base-game content, not a separate expansion. EA confirms both new hairstyles support Adults and Elders, and the furniture can be placed in households of any age. For clothing, check the available age and outfit filters in Create a Sim.
The Gallery household is optional. You can use the Sims 4 free Elder items in your existing saves.
Why are the Sims 4 free Elder items missing after updating?
First, check that your game has updated to PC 1.129.39.1030, Mac 1.129.39.1230 or console 2.40. In CAS, clear filters and check the swatches on existing outfits for recolours. In Build Mode, use the exact names listed above. If an item still seems absent, restart the game before testing without outdated mods.
On a modded PC or Mac game, check whether custom CAS or Build Mode filters hide items, and test in a separate clean save if the entire update seems absent.
