The Pokémon GO Mega Chandelure Global Challenge is a worldwide raid challenge running across October 30 and 31, 2026. Each community tier completed makes later Mega Chandelure bonuses stronger. Those rewards include extra power for Ominous Wind+ and, for players who reach Super Max Mega Level, a temporary CP boost.
This is not the same thing as the three-hour Chandelure Super Mega Raid Day on October 31. The challenge measures raids completed by players worldwide, while its bonuses arrive two days later. The announcement lists its global times in US time zones, while the UK has already moved back to GMT.
Pokémon GO Mega Chandelure Global Challenge start and end times in the UK
The Pokémon GO Mega Chandelure Global Challenge begins at 12am GMT on Saturday, October 31, and ends at 3am GMT on Sunday, November 1. The official US window is October 30 at 5pm PDT until October 31 at 8pm PDT. Britain returns to GMT on October 25, while the US time-zone transition falls on November 1.

| Event milestone | Official time | UK (GMT) |
|---|---|---|
| Challenge begins | October 30, 5pm PDT | October 31, midnight |
| Local Raid Day | October 31, 2 to 5pm local | October 31, 2 to 5pm |
| Challenge closes | October 31, 8pm PDT | November 1, 3am |
| Unlocked bonuses start | November 2, noon PST | November 2, 8pm |
| Unlocked bonuses finish | November 15, noon PST | November 15, 8pm |
The Pokémon GO Mega Chandelure Global Challenge therefore starts before Mega Chandelure’s UK debut raids are live. The worldwide challenge starts before Mega Chandelure’s UK Raid Day window. Complete Raid Battles during the challenge to contribute to the shared objective. The rewards won’t arrive until Monday evening in Britain.
How to contribute to the Pokémon GO Mega Chandelure Global Challenge
To support the Pokémon GO Mega Chandelure Global Challenge, complete Raid Battles while the global window is open. All participating Trainers work on the same shared tiers. The announcement doesn’t give the raid total for each tier or the overall tier count, so there is no confirmed pre-event milestone chart.
Successful raids are what move the community towards the next tier. If you’re planning to battle Mega Chandelure itself, use our Chandelure raid counters and shield strategy to prepare for a harder-than-normal encounter. The official Super Mega Raid guidance recommends at least eight Trainers, each with an eligible Mega Evolution, because the boss can put up shields that require different players to break them.
There’s no paid pass required merely to take part in the Pokémon GO Mega Chandelure Global Challenge. Its collective raid objective isn’t the Halloween GO Pass with individual GO Points, nor the free Chandelure Timed Research rewarding a Premium Battle Pass and Tyranitar. These are separate reward paths with different deadlines.
All confirmed Pokémon GO Mega Chandelure Global Challenge rewards
The Pokémon GO Mega Chandelure Global Challenge has two announced reward effects, each active from November 2 to 15. The number of tiers the community completes determines their strength, so the exact size of each boost cannot yet be confirmed.
| Reward effect | Requirement | Restriction |
|---|---|---|
| Higher base power for Ominous Wind+ | Mega Chandelure at the first Mega Level or above | Challenge boost excluded from GO Battle League |
| Temporary higher CP | Mega Chandelure at Super Max Mega Level | Must reach fourth Mega Level |
Ominous Wind+ is already listed at 145 power in raids and Gyms and 50 power in Trainer Battles, with an additional chance to raise the user’s Attack and Defense in Trainer Battles. Those are its announced starting figures, not a confirmed chart for the extra worldwide bonus. The strength of the Pokémon GO Mega Chandelure Global Challenge reward will depend on the completed tier total.

Do you need Super Max Mega Chandelure to benefit?
You only need the first Mega Level or higher for the temporary Ominous Wind+ enhancement. Super Max is required for the separate CP boost. Reaching that fourth tier means first achieving Max, the existing third level, then spending additional Mega Energy. Our Mega Chandelure Super Max guide goes through the progression and its Ominous Wind+ mechanics.
The Pokémon GO Mega Chandelure Global Challenge doesn’t automatically upgrade anyone’s Pokémon. You still have to build a qualifying Chandelure of your own, and the reward window is temporary. A newly raid-caught Chandelure already comes with its first Mega Level unlocked, which provides a head start. See our Chandelure reference guide before choosing which individual Pokémon to invest in.
Does the Pokémon GO Mega Chandelure Global Challenge bonus work in PvP?
The official Pokémon GO announcement specifically excludes the challenge’s extra Ominous Wind+ base-power boost from GO Battle League. This doesn’t mean Ominous Wind+ never works in Trainer Battles. Mega Chandelure’s additional Charged Attack is a separate system with its own announced PvP effect; the temporary global power enhancement simply won’t carry over to GO Battle League matches.
For the broader competitive rules, consult The Click’s GO Battle League schedule and Mega Evolutions guide. If your goal is raids rather than PvP, try to collect the energy you need before the November reward period begins.
What to do before the bonuses begin
Any completed eligible Raid Battles contribute to the shared event, so your group can make progress while playing the Halloween weekend. Organise a group, pick raids you can finish, and check the global progress when the event starts. On October 31, the Raid Day overview covers the Shiny bonus and free passes; from November 1 the Halloween Part II guide covers the new event encounters.
