The current Pokémon GO Battle League Schedule features Great League and Summer Cup: Great League Edition from June 30 until July 7.

Once this rotation ends, Ultra League and Fantasy Cup will become the active formats.

What Is the Pokémon GO Battle League Rotation?

The Pokémon GO Battle League Schedule follows a weekly rotation throughout each season.

Rather than keeping one league active for the entire season, Niantic rotates between the three main leagues alongside themed Cups that introduce different rules and restrictions.

This keeps the PvP meta fresh and encourages Trainers to build a wider range of Pokémon.

Main GO Battle Leagues

Throughout the Pokémon GO Battle League Schedule you’ll regularly see three main leagues.

LeagueCP Limit
Great League1,500 CP
Ultra League2,500 CP
Master LeagueNo CP Limit

Each league rewards different Pokémon and team compositions.

Special Cups

Special Cups rotate alongside the main leagues.

During this season, Trainers can compete in:

  • Summer Cup
  • Fantasy Cup
  • Retro Cup
  • Master Premier
  • Weather Cup
  • Evolution Cup
  • Scroll Cup

Each Cup has its own eligibility requirements and banned Pokémon.

Bonus Weeks

Several weeks in the Pokémon GO Battle League Schedule feature increased rewards.

These bonus weeks include:

  • 4× Stardust from win rewards.
  • Increased opportunities to farm Stardust.
  • Excellent times to complete Timed Research.

The bonus only applies to win rewards and does not include end-of-set rewards.

Why the Pokémon GO Battle League Schedule Matters

Checking the Pokémon GO Battle League Schedule before building a team can save both Stardust and Candy.

Different leagues and Cups reward completely different Pokémon, meaning a team built for Great League may not be eligible for Fantasy Cup or Master Premier.

Planning ahead also gives Trainers time to power up Pokémon before each rotation begins.
