Pokémon GO Chandelure Super Mega Raid Day runs on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 2pm to 5pm local time. Mega Chandelure makes its debut in Super Mega Raids, with an increased Shiny chance, free Raid Passes and Timed Research that rewards a Tyranitar encounter.
The three-hour window is worth planning around, especially if you’re gathering Chandelure Mega Energy for an existing favourite. You can participate without buying a ticket, although the paid option raises the number of Raid Passes available from Gyms and adds rewards for completing raids.
Pokémon GO Chandelure Super Mega Raid Day: Times and debut
Pokémon GO Chandelure Super Mega Raid Day runs from 2pm until 5pm local time on October 31. Mega Chandelure appears in Super Mega Raids for the first time. A Chandelure caught after completing one of these raids already has its first Mega Level unlocked. That’s a head start on Mega Evolution progression, not a permanently Mega-Evolved catch. The event is part of the Twilight Trails season, but these specific Raid Day bonuses only last for the announced three-hour window.
Free Raid Passes and increased Shiny chance
Every player can collect up to six free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs during Pokémon GO Chandelure Super Mega Raid Day. The chance of encountering Shiny Chandelure after these raids is increased, but Pokémon GO hasn’t announced an exact Shiny percentage. The remote raid limit increases to 20 from October 30 at 5pm PDT until October 31 at 8pm PDT. These bonuses don’t require the $4.99 ticket. A Shiny from the raid can be Mega Evolved just like an ordinary Chandelure.

Free Timed Research rewards
The event includes free Timed Research rewarding a Premium Battle Pass and a Tyranitar encounter. Open the research during the event, finish its objectives and claim the rewards before the research expires. Pokémon GO Chandelure Super Mega Raid Day’s official announcement doesn’t publish the individual research tasks, so a purported full task table before release would be guesswork. Those two reward items are confirmed; additional task-by-task details are not. Set aside time to collect the encounter rather than assuming the research will remain claimable the following morning.
What the $4.99 event ticket adds
The optional ticket costs US$4.99 or the local equivalent. It lets you obtain up to 14 Raid Passes from Gym Photo Discs in total, rather than fourteen additional passes stacked on the six free ones. It also raises your chance of receiving Rare Candy XL from raids and adds 5,000 XP and 5,000 Stardust per Super Mega Raid Battle. All paid bonuses apply between 2pm and 5pm local time on October 31. Pokémon GO Chandelure Super Mega Raid Day tickets cannot be bought with PokéCoins, and shop purchases end at 5pm.
Web Store Ultra Ticket Box
The Pokémon GO Web Store also offers a Pokémon GO Chandelure Super Mega Raid Day Ultra Ticket Box at the same US$4.99 price tier. It includes the event ticket plus one bonus Premium Battle Pass, so check the Web Store if you’re planning to pay. The event ticket can be gifted to a friend of at least Great Friends status. Buying through the Web Store doesn’t create a second independent set of Raid Day bonuses; it’s another purchasing option with an extra pass included in the box.
How to find and beat the Super Mega Raids
Super Mega Raids can appear at selected Gyms rather than every Gym. Use the official Pokémon GO map to find possible raid locations and community meetups. The raid format is tougher than a standard Mega Raid, so arrange a group before the three-hour window. Super Mega Raids have shields that require Mega-Evolved Pokémon to help break them; bring a suitable Mega and coordinate with other Trainers. Pokémon GO Chandelure Super Mega Raid Day will be easier if your group can move between several accessible Gyms rather than spending the afternoon trying to assemble a team at each one.
Counters and the best Pokémon types to bring
Mega Chandelure is Ghost/Fire-type. That makes it weak to Dark, Ghost, Ground, Rock and Water attacks. Build a team around your strongest attackers with moves of those types, plus a Mega-Evolved Pokémon for the special raid mechanics. You don’t need a specific rare legendary just to participate; well-powered counters with appropriate moves are far more useful than a high-CP Pokémon with resisted attacks. Stock up on Revives and Potions before Pokémon GO Chandelure Super Mega Raid Day so you can continue after a difficult battle.

Super Max, Ominous Wind+ and the later challenge
Mega Chandelure becomes eligible for Super Max progression on October 31, and gains the extra Charged Attack Ominous Wind+ while Mega Evolved. The attack starts at 50 power in Trainer Battles and 145 in raids and Gyms, growing with Mega Level. A worldwide challenge runs October 30 to 31, with unlocked bonuses active November 2 to 15. Those can boost Ominous Wind+ power and, for Pokémon that reach Super Max, CP. Pokémon GO Chandelure Super Mega Raid Day is your first major chance to obtain Mega Energy, but reaching Super Max takes further progression beyond the first Mega Level.
