Pokémon GO Halloween Candy Farming: Best Candy and Stardust Methods

Pokémon GO Halloween 2026 Part I

Pokémon GO Halloween Candy farming gets much more rewarding once you’ve reached the Halloween 2026 GO Pass milestones. Rank 10 doubles Candy from catching Pokémon on the free track, or triples it with Deluxe. Rank 20 does the same for catch Stardust. You’ll get the most benefit by reaching those ranks before your longest catching sessions.

Halloween runs from October 27 to November 5, with different featured Pokémon across Part I and Part II. You can hunt new costumes, save Candy for evolutions and build a Stardust reserve at the same time. Here’s how the bonuses work, which encounters are worth prioritising and when to use Pinap Berries and Star Pieces.

Pokémon GO Halloween Candy farming: free and Deluxe bonuses

The free Halloween GO Pass opens on October 27 at 10am local time. Complete its Pass Tasks to earn GO Points and reach the rank milestones. The catch bonuses aren’t active automatically at the event’s start; Deluxe increases the multipliers at the same ranks but doesn’t remove the need to progress.

For Pokémon GO Halloween Candy farming, the key word is catch. The bonuses don’t promise extra Candy from walking a Buddy or from a Candy item awarded directly by a Trick or Treat surprise. Our Halloween GO Pass guide explains its reward tracks and deadlines.

How to farm more Candy after Rank 10

Open the pass and check the tasks available in-game. The official announcement doesn’t list each Halloween Pass Task or its GO Point payout. Check the tasks in your game, then choose those you can finish alongside catching and exploring. Unlock Rank 10 before your busiest session instead of doing all the catching first and claiming the bonus at the end.

For Pokémon GO Halloween Candy farming, choose species whose Candy you actually want. Zubat and Halloween Mischief Piplup are featured in Part I, while Greavard and costumed Rowlet feature in Part II. Our Halloween wild spawns guide shows when the featured encounter pool changes.

How much Candy and Stardust can you earn?

Imagine a Pokémon catch normally awarding three Candy and 100 Stardust, before other modifiers. At Rank 10, it would award six Candy free or nine with Deluxe. At Rank 20, that catch’s Stardust reward becomes 200 free or 300 with Deluxe. Different Pokémon and additional bonuses can change actual rewards.

That is why Pokémon GO Halloween Candy farming works better when you progress early. Every catch after unlocking the milestone can benefit, including ordinary wild Pokémon you would have caught anyway.

When to use Pinap Berries

Use Pinap Berries on Pokémon you actually need Candy for. A Pinap Berry doubles the Candy awarded when the Pokémon is caught while the Berry’s effect is active. Use them on Pokémon whose Candy matters for an evolution or power-up, rather than spending your entire supply on encounters you don’t need.

Sinistea is a useful example for Pokémon GO Halloween Candy farming. Its Phony Form requires 50 Candy to evolve, while Antique Form needs 400. If you want that evolution, a successful Sinistea catch is valuable, although the Halloween bow costume appears in one-star raids rather than ordinary wild spawns. Our Sinistea costume guide covers that difference.

Rank 20: how to farm Stardust

After Rank 20, look for areas with many regular spawns. Clear Pokémon storage and stock up on Poké Balls before your session. Star Pieces increase Stardust by 50% for a limited period, normally 30 minutes, so use one when you’re ready to catch continuously rather than when you’re still organising your inventory.

Each successful catch earns Candy and Stardust, letting you work on both Pokémon GO Halloween Candy farming and your Stardust total together. You don’t have to find a Shiny or costume for the event’s advertised catch multipliers to apply.

Best encounters in Part I

Part I runs October 27 at 10am through November 1 at 10am local time. The wild encounter pool includes top-hat Zubat and Halloween Mischief Piplup, with a possible rarer costumed Drifblim. Pick one of those species if you need its Candy and want a costume at the same time.

Part I’s Trick or Treat surprises can also award Zubat, Pikachu or Sinistea Candy, event encounters and occasional Rare Candy. Direct Candy rewards are separate from catching, so treat them as an extra alongside Pokémon GO Halloween Candy farming, not as something the GO Pass catch multiplier automatically increases.

Best encounters in Part II

Part II begins November 1 at 10am and finishes November 5 at 8pm. Its featured spawns include Greavard, Litwick and costumed Rowlet. Greavard’s Shiny debut makes it especially appealing if you also need Candy for Houndstone. Our Shiny Greavard guide explains the encounter methods.

Your GO Pass progress continues across both phases, so any unlocked catch bonuses remain relevant. For Pokémon GO Halloween Candy farming, plan Greavard and Litwick catches in Part II if those are the species you’re building, and use the Part II guide to check other rewards.

Is Deluxe worth buying for farming?

Deluxe costs US$7.99 or an equivalent local tier, increasing the Rank 10 and 20 multipliers from 2× to 3× and adding premium rewards. If you’re only playing for a short session, the free milestones are still worth reaching. If you plan hundreds of catches across both phases, compare the extra return with what the paid rewards are worth to you.

Pokémon GO Halloween Candy farming doesn’t require a paid ticket. The Deluxe value guide covers the wider purchase decision without treating paid progression as mandatory.

When do the catch bonuses finish?

GO Pass progression ends November 5 at 8pm local time. Unlocked pass rewards must be claimed by November 7 at 8pm. Both times are GMT in the UK after the October 25 clock change. The claim deadline doesn’t provide extra days to rank up.

Finish Pokémon GO Halloween Candy farming while the Halloween bonuses remain active. Reaching the milestones early and catching species you actually need offers reliable value without depending on speculative task rewards or Shiny rates.
