Throne and Liberty Xbox NC App: Why It Says AGS and How to Move

Throne and Liberty Xbox NC app is the new Xbox download players will need once NC takes over the Western service after the November 10, 2026 maintenance. The current installation labelled Throne and Liberty AGS is still the Amazon-published version, renamed ahead of the handover.

Your Xbox characters and purchased items transfer automatically if you did not opt out. You do not have to create a new character or manually export a save. The important step is choosing the new store listing published by NC, not the older app marked AGS.

AGS stands for Amazon Game Studios. The existing Xbox installation was renamed Throne and Liberty AGS as a preparation step for the publishing change. This isn’t a second game, an account problem or proof that your save has been wiped.

The Throne and Liberty Xbox NC app is a separate store listing published by NC. The AGS label distinguishes the version currently installed on your console from the new one you’ll use when NC’s service opens.

When Do Xbox Players Need the NC App?

Service-transition maintenance starts on November 10. Until it begins, use the existing AGS app. Once NC confirms that maintenance has finished, install the replacement game and sign in with your usual Microsoft account.

The listing is identified by the title Throne and Liberty and publisher NC. The official service-transition FAQ has not supplied a direct Microsoft Store listing URL yet, so check the publisher name before starting the download.

How to Install the Throne and Liberty Xbox NC App

Once NC announces that the transition has completed, open the Xbox Store and search for Throne and Liberty. Find the new listing published by NC, download and install it, and then launch it through your existing Xbox platform account.

Accept NC’s Terms and Policies at first login and complete any required account activation prompts. The Throne and Liberty Xbox NC App uses migrated account data, so normal players don’t need to create an empty character or opt out before downloading.

Throne and Liberty Xbox NC App: Do You Need to Delete Throne and Liberty AGS?

Keep the current AGS installation until NC has announced the new app is ready. When the replacement is available, install it from the Xbox Store, then log in using the Xbox profile that already holds your Throne and Liberty progress.

This is a new route into the same transferred character data, not a manual save-file move. You do not need to delete local files or copy character saves between Xbox apps to carry over your account.

Will Your Xbox Character and Lucent Transfer?

Yes. All ordinary player data, characters, inventory, equipment, entitlements and in-game currency transfer automatically unless you deliberately opt out. Existing Lucent, Sollant, Ornate Coins and Loyalty Points are all covered by NC’s handover agreement.

You keep your Xbox account and its progress. Once the new app launches, accept NC’s terms and sign in as normal. It doesn’t merge your Xbox character with a separate Steam or PURPLE account.

Throne and Liberty Xbox NC App: Can You Use Xbox Progress on Steam or PURPLE?

Crossplay remains available among Xbox, PlayStation, Steam and PURPLE, so people can still play together in the unified environment. Cross-progression is supported only between Steam and PURPLE. Xbox and PlayStation progression remain separate from those PC accounts.

That means an Xbox character’s automatic transfer to NC is different from moving a save to another platform. The Throne and Liberty Xbox NC App preserves your existing Xbox progression, but it does not add console-to-PC cross-save.

What if the New App Is Missing or Opens with a Different Account?

First check whether migration maintenance has ended and that the Xbox Store listing is the NC-published one. Make sure the Xbox profile you’re signing into is the same account you used before migration, and accept any first-launch terms or activation prompts.

If your usual character isn’t visible once service resumes, verify the Xbox profile and the publisher on the installed app first. Then check inventory, mail and storage. Use NC’s new support service for unresolved account issues rather than creating a new character.
