Roblox gear IDs are the item numbers attached to classic gear in the Roblox Marketplace. If you’re looking for a Gravity Coil, Speed Coil, Dual Gravity Coil or Rainbow Magic Carpet, you can use the IDs below to open each Roblox item listing and check its availability.
Owning a gear item does not mean you can bring it into every Roblox game. Roblox says an experience’s creator controls whether outside gear is permitted. These are genuine catalog references, not universal cheats, admin commands or codes that give you free equipment.
Roblox gear IDs: classic gear catalog numbers
| Gear | Gear ID | What it does | Roblox catalog |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gravity Coil | 16688968 | Classic jump-assist gear | View item |
| Speed Coil | 99119158 | Classic movement-speed gear | View item |
| Dual Gravity Coil | 150366274 | Pair of gravity coils | View item |
| Rainbow Magic Carpet | 225921000 | Flying carpet gear | View item |
The numbers are catalog item IDs confirmed through Roblox listings and catalog records. They’re references to the gear item itself, not IDs for a game’s own separately designed tools. A game may offer a speed or gravity coil that looks familiar but is an entirely different object under its developer’s control.

Roblox gear IDs: what each item does
Gravity Coil (16688968): The classic blue coil reduces gravity’s effect when equipped, making jumps higher and falls gentler in supported experiences. Speed Coil (99119158): A movement item designed to help your avatar run faster. Both are longstanding Roblox Marketplace gear rather than new October 2026 items.
Dual Gravity Coil (150366274): A variant that places two coils on the avatar and is described as providing a stronger gravity-reducing effect. Rainbow Magic Carpet (225921000): A classic flying-carpet gear item. The carpet only works where gear is allowed and its original functionality is supported by the experience.
For Roblox gear IDs, these are examples of actual catalog items, not a promise that every item is currently for sale. The Marketplace page is where you can check the current price, sale status and the item’s original Roblox creator. Avoid websites demanding your account password in exchange for supposedly free gear.
Roblox gear IDs: how to use catalog items
To inspect a gear item, open its linked Roblox catalog page. Make sure it is the correct item and check whether it is available to obtain. If you already own it, you can inspect it in your Roblox inventory or avatar gear area, depending on the interface Roblox currently provides.
When you enter an experience, the game’s developer determines whether your gear can be used. A game that allows classic Marketplace gear may make eligible owned gear available on entry. Many modern games ignore outside gear and instead give players their own tools, upgrades or purchasable gamepasses. Copying an ID into chat won’t bypass that restriction.

Roblox gear IDs not working: common reasons
First check that you copied the item’s catalog ID and not a thumbnail, mesh or sound asset ID. Then check the item’s Roblox listing and whether your account owns it. Finally check the experience’s settings: some games do not let players bring any Marketplace gear, even when the item is legitimate.
Another common mix-up is assuming a classic catalog gear can be equipped through a game’s own shop. Developer-made gear often uses completely separate progression and commands. If you want to spawn a tool in an experience you create yourself, you need an appropriate Tool object and a supported Roblox Studio workflow, not just somebody else’s gear number pasted into a script.
Roblox gear IDs: do they unlock free items?
No. A gear ID identifies an item. It doesn’t grant ownership, remove a purchase cost or force an experience to accept an item. If the Marketplace shows a price, follow Roblox’s purchase interface. If the item is off sale, the ID remains a reference but does not give you a way to purchase it.
When somebody shares a long list of so-called Roblox gear codes, check whether the numbers are catalog IDs or actual promotional codes. Gear IDs are not redemption codes. Roblox does have other systems for game codes and promotions, but those are separate from the Marketplace gear catalog.
Roblox gear IDs vs music and image IDs
Roblox groups assets by their type. A gear item is a piece of equipment; an audio ID represents a sound, and image or decal IDs represent pictures. A Roblox decal ID cannot spawn a coil. Likewise, a gear number isn’t a Roblox music code.
If you’re adding content to your own project, our Creator Store audio guide explains how to find sounds, and the image ID versus decal ID guide explains why picture numbers vary. Gear requires its own catalog and game permissions checks.
Roblox gear IDs: questions players ask
Does every game support gear? No. The experience creator chooses. Does copying a gear ID unlock it? No, it only identifies the item. Can I use Gravity Coil in any obby? Only if that obby’s mechanics and permissions support the particular gear. What if an old code list shows different numbers? Check the official catalog item name and type before trusting it.
