Nintendo Switch 2 Sports Resort bundle launched in the UK on 22 October 2026. The package includes a standard Switch 2 console, a download code for the complete Nintendo Switch Sports Resort game, and a separate three-month Nintendo Switch Online Individual membership code.
It’s a game-and-console package rather than specially designed hardware. You get the normal Joy-Con 2 controllers and accessories, but no Sports Resort cartridge. Nintendo also states that the console in this holiday bundle does not have a user-replaceable battery.

Sports Resort includes 12 sports set around Wuhu Island, with activities ranging from tennis and bowling to boxing and archery. The Nintendo Switch 2 Sports Resort bundle means you can start with that full game as soon as you’ve redeemed the download. For a closer look at the sports and modes, see our Sports Resort game guide.
Does the Nintendo Switch 2 Sports Resort bundle contain a game card?
No. Nintendo provides the full game as a digital download code. Connect the console to the internet, sign into the Nintendo Account that should own Sports Resort, and redeem the game code in Nintendo eShop. The game isn’t a cartridge that can be lent to another person.
The game download and Nintendo Switch Online membership are separate codes. Redeem the game on the account intended to own it. The 90-day voucher should go to the account that needs the Individual Online membership, so don’t automatically claim both on a parent’s profile if the console is a gift for someone else.
Does the Nintendo Switch 2 Sports Resort bundle include Nintendo Switch Online?
Yes. Nintendo includes a 90-day Individual Nintendo Switch Online membership code. It isn’t an Expansion Pack or Family plan. Sports Resort remains a full digital game after the membership expires; only online functions that require a paid subscription stop working without an active membership. Local modes don’t all require Nintendo Switch Online.
Our Sports Resort online requirements guide breaks down which modes need membership. For the code itself, the 90-day membership guide covers redemption, renewal and adding more time to an existing subscription.
When was the Nintendo Switch 2 Sports Resort bundle released?
The UK release date was 22 October 2026. Nintendo followed it with a new Mario Kart World console bundle and the Zelda anniversary hardware on 29 October. Those are different packages, so check that the one in your basket specifically lists Sports Resort and its 90-day Individual membership code.
Don’t confuse Nintendo Switch Sports Resort with the earlier Nintendo Switch Sports game. The Nintendo Switch 2 Sports Resort bundle contains the newer, Switch 2-exclusive Wuhu Island game, not a download of the older Switch title.
Does the Nintendo Switch 2 Sports Resort bundle have a replaceable battery?
No. Nintendo explicitly excludes user-replaceable batteries from the Switch 2 consoles in its October holiday bundles. Revised hardware with user-replaceable batteries is arriving separately in Europe. The Sports Resort package is not automatically part of that revision simply because it launched later in 2026.
Nintendo says the new hardware revisions keep the same functions, so the difference isn’t about which games run or how Sports Resort plays. It’s about future battery replacement. If this is a deciding factor, examine the exact console revision instead of assuming a later retail release must mean a different battery.
What should you check before buying the Nintendo Switch 2 Sports Resort bundle?

Check the current UK checkout price against buying a standard Switch 2, Sports Resort and an Individual membership separately. If you’ll mainly use local sports modes, the included Online code may be less valuable than it is to somebody planning to play online. Retailer discounts can change which option costs less.
For buyers considering another game instead, our 2026 bundle comparison puts Mario Kart, Sports Resort and Zelda side by side. The Nintendo Switch 2 Sports Resort bundle is a straightforward option for someone who wants motion-controlled sports included from the beginning, without separately buying the full game download.
