Halloween: The Game PlayStation Plus is required for online multiplayer on PS5, but the game is not currently listed as a PlayStation Plus catalogue inclusion. Halloween: The Game is sold separately on the PlayStation Store, with the Standard Edition at £34.99 in the UK and Digital Deluxe at £49.99.
Is Halloween: The Game PlayStation Plus Included With PS Plus?
There is no announced day one Halloween: The Game PlayStation Plus catalogue inclusion. The PlayStation Store presents Halloween: The Game as a normal paid preorder and separately states that PS Plus is required for online play.
Those are two different things. A game can require PlayStation Plus for online multiplayer without being included as part of the subscription. Halloween: The Game currently falls into that situation.
Do You Need PlayStation Plus to Play Halloween: The Game?
You need PlayStation Plus if you want to play the online multiplayer modes on PS5. The store says the game supports up to five online players with PS Plus and also notes that online play is optional.
That optional wording matters for Halloween: The Game PlayStation Plus because Halloween: The Game includes a standalone single player story mode. You are not forced into multiplayer just to use the game, although the subscription is required if you want the 1v4 online experience.
What Does Halloween: The Game Multiplayer Include?
The multiplayer mode pits Michael Myers against four Heroes of Haddonfield. IllFonic has confirmed four maps for launch: Haddonfield Town Center, Haddonfield Heights, Orange Grove Estates and East Haddonfield.
Heroes can use household items, weapons, townsfolk and police presence to survive, while Michael has his own abilities, executions and unlockable options. Because multiplayer is a major half of the package, PS Plus is still relevant even though it does not currently include the game itself.
How Much Is Halloween: The Game on PS5?
The UK PlayStation Store lists the Standard Edition at £34.99 and the Digital Deluxe Edition at £49.99. The Deluxe Edition includes the Inmate Michael Myers skin, two exclusive civilians named Alexis and Richard, and additional extras.
Digital Deluxe preorders also receive advance access beginning September 4 at 9:00 AM Pacific. The Standard Edition follows the full September 8 launch.
So when comparing Halloween: The Game PlayStation Plus with buying the game, the current answer is not either or. You buy Halloween: The Game separately, then PS Plus is needed if you want to use its online multiplayer on console.
Could Halloween: The Game Be Added to PS Plus Later?
Yes, it is possible for any third party release to appear in a subscription catalogue later, but there is no confirmed future Halloween: The Game PlayStation Plus date at the moment. It would be speculation to treat a later addition as expected.
If Sony or IllFonic announces a PS Plus Extra, Premium or monthly game inclusion after launch, the practical answer changes. Until then, the PlayStation Store’s paid preorder is the relevant way to get the game.
When Does Halloween: The Game Release on PS5?
Halloween: The Game releases on PlayStation 5 on September 8, 2026. The global launch time is 9:00 AM Pacific, which converts to 5:00 PM BST in the UK.
Digital Deluxe preorder players can start September 4, four days before the full release. The same 9:00 AM Pacific global unlock applies to the early access period.

What Is the Bottom Line on Halloween: The Game PlayStation Plus?
The simplest way to read the current Halloween: The Game PlayStation Plus situation is this: PS Plus is needed for online multiplayer, but Halloween: The Game itself is a separate purchase. There is no announced day one PS Plus catalogue inclusion.
If you mainly want the single player Michael Myers story, the store says online play is optional. If you are buying for 1v4 multiplayer, factor an active PlayStation Plus subscription into the cost of playing on PS5.
