Halloween: The Game Platforms are PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for the September 8, 2026 launch. On PC, Halloween: The Game is available through both Steam and the Epic Games Store, while there are currently no announced PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 versions.
All Confirmed Halloween: The Game Platforms
The confirmed Halloween: The Game Platforms cover current generation consoles and PC. IllFonic is not treating Halloween: The Game as a cross generation release, so the launch lineup is much cleaner than games that still support PS4 and Xbox One.
| Platform | Launch status | Storefront / version |
|---|---|---|
| PC | Confirmed | Steam and Epic Games Store |
| PlayStation 5 | Confirmed | PS5 |
| Xbox Series X|S | Confirmed | Optimized for Xbox Series X|S |
| PlayStation 4 | Not announced | No PS4 version listed |
| Xbox One | Not announced | No Xbox One version listed |
| Nintendo Switch | Not announced | No Switch version listed |
| Nintendo Switch 2 | Not announced | No Switch 2 version listed |
That means anyone choosing between the Halloween: The Game Platforms at launch is effectively deciding between PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is no current last generation fallback if you have not yet moved to newer hardware.
Is Halloween: The Game on PC?

Yes. Halloween: The Game is coming to PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. The PC version launches on September 8 alongside the console editions, with Digital Deluxe early access beginning on September 4.
Steam lists single player, online PvP and online co op support, which lines up with the game’s split between the standalone Michael Myers story and 1v4 multiplayer. The PC version also requires Windows 11 64 bit, 16 GB RAM at minimum, DirectX 12 and an SSD or NVMe drive, so it is worth checking the full requirements before choosing PC.
You can see the complete specification table in our Halloween: The Game PC System Requirements guide.
Is Halloween: The Game on PS5?
Yes. PlayStation 5 is one of the main Halloween: The Game Platforms at launch. The PS Store lists both the Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions, with the Deluxe Edition offering advance access from September 4.
Online multiplayer on PS5 requires PlayStation Plus, but the game itself is a separate purchase. The PS Store also states that online play is optional, which matters because Halloween: The Game includes a standalone single player story mode as Michael Myers.
Is Halloween: The Game on Xbox Series X|S?

Yes. Halloween: The Game launches on Xbox Series X|S and is listed as optimized for the current Xbox hardware. The Xbox store advertises online multiplayer for two to five players, cross platform multiplayer, cross platform co op, 4K Ultra HD, HDR10, 60 fps or higher support, Spatial Sound and Dolby Atmos.
Xbox is therefore not a cut down version of the Halloween: The Game Platforms lineup. It is one of the fully supported launch platforms, with both the Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions available to preorder.
Is Halloween: The Game on PS4 or Xbox One?
No PS4 or Xbox One versions have been announced for launch. The official game site points players toward Steam, PlayStation, Xbox and Epic, while the console storefronts specifically list PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
That means owning a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One alone is not enough for the September launch. Unless IllFonic announces separate older console ports later, the confirmed console versions require current generation hardware.
Is Halloween: The Game on Nintendo Switch or Switch 2?
Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 are not part of the confirmed Halloween: The Game Platforms. There is currently no Nintendo version listed on the game’s official preorder destinations, and IllFonic has not announced a Switch family release alongside PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
That is best treated as not announced rather than as proof that a Nintendo version can never happen. For launch, however, Switch and Switch 2 owners should not expect to play on September 8.
We keep the Nintendo question separate in our Halloween: The Game Nintendo Switch guide so it can be updated cleanly if the situation changes.
Do the Halloween: The Game Platforms Support Crossplay?
Xbox explicitly lists cross platform multiplayer and cross platform co op support. That confirms cross platform functionality from Microsoft’s side, although the complete first party platform matrix has not been published across every storefront.
If you are buying specifically to play with friends on another system, it is worth separating confirmed cross platform support from assumptions about every possible PC, PS5 and Xbox combination. Our Halloween: The Game Crossplay guide covers exactly what is confirmed and what is still unclear.
Which of the Halloween: The Game Platforms Should You Choose?
The best choice among the Halloween: The Game Platforms comes down to the hardware you already use and who you want to play with. PC gives you Steam and Epic options and the most explicit system requirements. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S provide the current generation console experience, with console subscriptions required for online multiplayer.
There is no content announcement suggesting that one launch platform gets a different core game. The bigger differences are storefront, online subscription requirements and your existing friend group. Whichever version you choose, the standard worldwide launch is September 8 at 9:00 AM Pacific, with Digital Deluxe early access beginning September 4.
