Pokémon GO Fest 2026 Mega Finale Day 1 Raid Tier List puts Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Gengar, Mega Houndoom and Mega Starmie at the top of Saturday’s raid priorities. Day 1 runs on September 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time, with Mega Mewtwo X available throughout the day and the remaining Mega Raids rotating with the four habitats.
Pokémon GO Fest 2026 Mega Finale Day 1 Raid Tier List: Best Raids Today
| Tier | Saturday priorities |
|---|---|
| S Tier | Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Gengar, Mega Houndoom, Mega Starmie |
| A Tier | Mega Beedrill, Mega Victreebel, Mega Alakazam, Mega Banette, Mega Manectric, Mega Raichu X |
| B Tier | Mega Pinsir, Mega Abomasnow, Mega Slowbro, Mega Medicham, Mega Ampharos, Mega Malamar |
If your Raid Passes are limited, the S-tier group is where most of your time should go. The A-tier bosses are still worthwhile, but they are easier to justify once you have enough Mega Mewtwo X Energy and have covered the strongest Saturday options.
Mega Mewtwo X Is the Best Day 1 Raid
The Mega Finale Day 1 Raid Tier List starts with Mega Mewtwo X as the clear headline target. It appears in Super Mega Raids throughout Saturday and combines elite stats with exceptional long-term raid utility. If you only have time for one serious raid target on Day 1, this should be it.
It also has the advantage of being available all day rather than only during one habitat, so you do not need to force every pass into a narrow one-hour window.
Mega Gengar Is Still an Elite Ghost Mega
The Mega Finale Day 1 Raid Tier List also puts Mega Gengar among the strongest Saturday targets. Its huge Attack stat gives it enormous damage output, although it is much less bulky than many other Mega Evolutions.
That fragility does not stop it being one of Saturday’s best investments, especially for players who want a top Ghost Mega for future Psychic- and Ghost-type raid bosses.
Mega Houndoom Is the Best Dark-Focused Option
The Mega Finale Day 1 Raid Tier List keeps Mega Houndoom high because it is another strong Saturday target, particularly as a Dark attacker. It is less impressive as a Fire Mega, where several alternatives outclass it, but its Dark role keeps it relevant.
If your account already has strong Psychic and Ghost Megas but lacks a Dark Mega, Houndoom is one of the smartest ways to diversify your Day 1 raiding.
Mega Starmie Is the Surprise Winner
The Mega Finale Day 1 Raid Tier List gives Mega Starmie a major boost because it has become much more interesting because Liquidation+ substantially improves its Water-type raid performance. It is still heavily outclassed as a Psychic attacker, but the Water role is now good enough to make it a genuine priority rather than a Pokédex-only raid.
Our Mega Starmie counters guide covers the raid itself, while Liquidation+ explains the move responsible for its jump in value.
Which A-Tier Raids Are Worth Doing?
Mega Beedrill and Mega Victreebel are both useful Poison attackers. Mega Alakazam remains a very strong Psychic Mega, Mega Banette is a solid Ghost backup, Mega Manectric is useful for Electric damage and Mega Raichu X is worth building if you want the new Raichu form.
The reason they sit below the top four is simple: Saturday has several unusually strong raid options competing for the same passes.
Which Day 1 Raids Can You Skip?
Mega Pinsir, Mega Abomasnow, Mega Slowbro, Mega Medicham, Mega Ampharos and Mega Malamar are lower priorities if your only goal is long-term raid performance. They can still be worth doing for Mega Energy, Pokédex completion or Candy bonuses.
Best Day 1 Raid Order
For most players, the easiest order in the Mega Finale Day 1 Raid Tier List from the Pokémon GO Fest 2026 Mega Finale Day 1 Raid Tier List is Mega Mewtwo X first, then Mega Gengar, Mega Houndoom and Mega Starmie. After that, spend remaining passes on whichever A-tier Mega fills the biggest hole in your own roster.
