Gothic 3 Classic release date is 24 November 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. THQ Nordic has confirmed all three platforms for the same day, bringing the original open-world RPG to modern consoles.
This is Gothic 3 brought to modern consoles with Community Patch 1.75, new gamepad controls and improved visuals. It’s not a full remake, and unlike the earlier Classic releases, there are no announced PS4 or Xbox One versions.
Gothic 3 Classic release date and platforms
THQ Nordic announced the date in April and still lists 24 November on its release calendar. Here’s where the game is coming:
| Platform | Announced? | Release date |
|---|---|---|
| PlayStation 5 | Yes | 24 November 2026 |
| Xbox Series X|S | Yes | 24 November 2026 |
| Nintendo Switch 2 | Yes | 24 November 2026 |
| PlayStation 4 | No announced version | Not announced |
| Xbox One | No announced version | Not announced |
| Original Nintendo Switch | No announced version | Not announced |
The first Gothic Classic launched on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on 28 July. Gothic II Complete Classic followed on 29 September with the same platforms. Gothic 3 Classic is different: only PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2 are confirmed.
The Gothic 3 Classic release date covers those three modern platforms only. If you’re shopping on PS4, Xbox One or the original Nintendo Switch, check the product listing carefully; versions for those systems haven’t been announced.
Gothic 3 Classic release date: What time will it launch?
The day is confirmed, but THQ Nordic hasn’t announced an exact digital unlock hour, including for the UK. There’s no official basis yet for claiming the game will go live at midnight.
If you’re checking the Gothic 3 Classic release date in your region, look at the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store or Nintendo eShop nearer launch. A storefront countdown will be more useful than guessing from another country’s time zone.

How much will Gothic 3 Classic cost?
THQ Nordic’s European release announcement lists Gothic III Classic at €29.99. That’s an official euro price, not a confirmed pound or dollar amount.
Check your local console store for UK or US pricing. Converting €29.99 yourself won’t necessarily tell you what you’ll pay.
This is the standalone third game. You don’t need to buy Gothic II Complete Classic or Gothic 1 Remake first.
Is Gothic 3 Classic a remake?
No. This is an updated port of the original 2006 RPG, retaining its world and story. Gothic 1 Remake is the separate, fully rebuilt game.
THQ Nordic has reworked the interface and controls for gamepads and improved performance. Its 13 October announcement also confirms a new shading model, tone mapping, screen-space ambient occlusion, better lighting, shadows, water and textures, plus gameplay, balance and combat fixes.
Ahead of the Gothic 3 Classic release date, those changes are confirmed, but exact frame rates, resolutions, graphical modes and PC mod support on consoles are not.
What is Gothic 3 Classic about?
The Nameless Hero arrives in Myrtana during a war. Orcs occupy much of the mainland, King Rhobar and his followers hold Vengard, rebels resist the occupation, and the Hashishin in the south work with the orcs. Your choices influence how the struggle unfolds.
Myrtana is yours to explore rather than a string of linear levels. There are more than 50 creature types, over 50 spells and more than 100 melee and ranged weapons, along with voiced characters, side quests and progression without fixed classes. You can spend plenty of time away from the main story.
The recent Photo Mode, Marvin Mode and Steam Workshop updates covered on The Click belong to Gothic 1 Remake. They haven’t been announced as features of this port.
Will Community Patch 1.75 be included?
Yes. Community Patch 1.75 is built into this console edition, with no separate PC fan-patch installation required. Our Gothic 3 Classic Community Patch 1.75 guide covers the additional controls, visuals and gameplay changes.
If you’re planning around the Gothic 3 Classic release date, mark 24 November for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2. THQ Nordic lists €29.99 in Europe; check your local storefront for the price and unlock hour.
