GOG Discord Nitro offer links can still be redeemed until 5 December 2026 at 08:00 GMT, but only if you qualified during GOG’s anniversary sale. The purchase window closed on 5 November. Buying another game now won’t earn you Nitro, although anyone who already has a valid promotional link can still use it.
You’ll need the email GOG sent you, a Discord account that meets the trial rules and a valid payment method. The month itself is free, but Discord automatically starts charging when it ends unless you cancel. Here’s what to check before redeeming your link.
GOG Discord Nitro offer: eligibility and deadlines
To qualify for the GOG Discord Nitro offer, you had to buy at least one game between 28 October at 15:00 CET and 5 November at 09:00 CET, spending at least US$10 or the local equivalent at checkout. It’s the amount paid after discounts that counts, not the original price on the store page. You also needed marketing emails enabled for your GOG account.
GOG sent one unique link per qualifying customer. Simply having a GOG account or installing GOG Galaxy wasn’t enough, and spending $10 now won’t unlock a fresh code.
| Deadline | UK (GMT) | Central Europe (CET) | US Eastern (EST) | US Pacific (PST) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Qualifying purchases closed | 5 Nov, 08:00 | 5 Nov, 09:00 | 5 Nov, 03:00 | 5 Nov, 00:00 |
| Redeem an existing link by | 5 Dec, 08:00 | 5 Dec, 09:00 | 5 Dec, 03:00 | 5 Dec, 00:00 |
These are two separate deadlines. The GOG Discord Nitro offer is closed to new buyers, but an unused link earned during the sale can still be redeemed until the December date in the table.
How to find the GOG Nitro email
Open the inbox connected to the GOG account you used at checkout. Search for Nitro or GOG, and check Spam, Junk and Promotions if nothing shows up. GOG sends eligible customers their own redemption link; there’s no public code that works for everyone.
If you spent enough during the qualifying dates and had marketing emails enabled but can’t find the message, contact GOG Support. GOG handles missing emails and purchase questions; Discord handles problems redeeming a link you’ve already received. The terms don’t provide a way to claim a code retrospectively if you weren’t opted into marketing emails.
How to redeem your GOG Discord Nitro offer
- Open your genuine GOG email and select its Nitro promotion link.
- Check that your browser opens a Discord address beginning
https://discord.com/billing/promotions/followed by your unique code. - Sign in to the Discord account you want to use. If Discord shows the wrong username, select Wrong account before accepting the gift.
- Read the eligibility and billing terms, enter a valid payment method and select Accept Gift.
- Open User Settings > Subscriptions to verify activation and check your renewal date.
You don’t need to buy Nitro separately. Discord checks your payment method with a temporary $1 hold, which it reverses. Your bank may take a few business days to remove the pending amount, so don’t mistake it for the first monthly payment.
Who can use the GOG Discord Nitro offer on Discord?
The GOG Discord Nitro offer won’t work if your Discord account has had an active full Nitro subscription or trial in the past 12 months. Discord also excludes accounts that had full Nitro at any point and then used Nitro Basic or Nitro Classic in the past year. That’s why two people who both qualified through GOG might see different redemption results.
If you’ve never had full Nitro, you can still qualify while subscribed to Nitro Basic, Nitro Classic or Server Boosting. Redeeming the trial replaces that subscription, and Discord won’t refund any unused time. Check what’s left on your current plan before accepting.
Discord’s promotion summary excludes Syria, Ukraine, Russia, Iran, Turkey and North Korea. A later FAQ on the same page omits Turkey. If that discrepancy affects you, check with Discord instead of relying on the shorter list. Other account restrictions can also prevent redemption.
GOG Discord Nitro offer not working? Check these errors
Unknown Gift Code or expired promotion
Discord says Unknown Gift Code means your account or region isn’t eligible. A different message, Wait a Second… Looks like this code didn’t work, points to an invalid link. Check it against GOG’s email, character by character. Discord can’t issue a replacement for an invalid code, and unused links expire at the December deadline.
“Sad Trombone” error
This usually appears when someone pastes the entire promotional URL into Discord chat or Gift Inventory. Open the full link in a browser address bar instead. An incognito window can help. If you’re using Gift Inventory, enter only the 24-character code in six groups of four, not the whole URL.
“You already have Nitro” or already redeemed
Check which Discord account is signed into your browser, especially on mobile. You already have Nitro means there’s an active Nitro subscription; recent Nitro history can also disqualify the account. This gift has already been redeemed means the code was used already. Discord can’t move a redeemed gift to another account.
Payment method rejected
Discord needs a payment method that supports its temporary $1 verification hold. Some prepaid cards won’t work. If you get This Payment Source Cannot Be Used for Redemption, try another supported payment method.
How to cancel before Discord charges you
The GOG Discord Nitro offer renews as a paid monthly subscription unless you cancel before your free month ends. On desktop or browser, open User Settings > Subscriptions, choose Cancel on Nitro and follow the prompts. On mobile, open your profile settings, go to Billing Settings > Manage Nitro, then cancel and confirm. Discord says you should cancel using the same type of device on which you activated the subscription.
Don’t confuse 5 December with your billing date. That’s the last day to redeem the link, not the day every trial ends. Check the actual renewal date in Subscriptions. If you cancel during the trial, Discord says you keep Nitro until the free month ends without paying for renewal.
Can you share the GOG Discord Nitro offer with a friend?
Discord allows an unused GOG Discord Nitro offer link to be passed privately to an eligible friend. They still need an acceptable Discord account, payment method and region, and must redeem it before the deadline. It’s a single-use link, so don’t post it publicly or send it to several people.
This promotion is also different from Discord Orbs and Quests. Those can provide Nitro credits through Discord itself without a GOG anniversary purchase. The related guides below cover the separate rewards systems and other GOG claims.
