A New Beginning Final Cut free on GOG is available until 2pm GMT on Monday 2 November 2026. GOG is giving away the complete Daedalic Entertainment point-and-click adventure. Claim it before the deadline and it stays in your account, with no subscription, demo restrictions or free-weekend cutoff.
Be careful which button you use. GOG also displays a discounted price for this game, but its giveaway works through a separate promotional link. You’ll need a free GOG account to collect the offer, and you can download the game whenever you like after claiming it.
A New Beginning Final Cut free on GOG: what’s included?
You get A New Beginning: Final Cut, the full science-fiction adventure from Daedalic Entertainment. GOG currently marks the game Now on giveaway and offers Go to giveaway on its product page. It’s not an Amazon Prime code, a demo or a subscription game.
When does A New Beginning Final Cut free on GOG end?
GOG lists the cutoff as 16:00 EET on Monday 2 November, which is 14:00 GMT in the UK. The clocks have already gone back, so it’s a 2pm deadline, not 3pm. You only need to finish the account claim before then; you can install the game later.
How to claim A New Beginning Final Cut free on GOG
- Open GOG’s A New Beginning: Final Cut product page.
- Sign in to the GOG account where you want to keep the game.
- Choose Go to giveaway or follow the active giveaway banner.
- Complete the free redemption and check for GOG’s success confirmation.
- Open Games Library and find A New Beginning: Final Cut.
- Install with GOG Galaxy or download the DRM-free offline installer whenever you’re ready.
If the page shows Add to cart and a price, don’t buy it to secure the promotion. Use the giveaway button instead. For A New Beginning Final Cut free on GOG, the key is receiving the free library licence, not checking out with the 90%-off sale.
Can you keep A New Beginning: Final Cut permanently?
Yes. After a successful claim, your GOG copy remains available when the giveaway closes. GOG also supplies DRM-free installers, meaning you can play without leaving the Galaxy launcher open. You’ll need to sign into GOG to claim the game and retrieve the download, but Galaxy itself is optional.
What is the game about?
Bent Svensson has left his bioengineering career and retired to Norway. His peace is broken by Fay, a woman who says she has travelled from a future devastated by climate disaster. She needs Bent’s energy research to change what happens, while a powerful businessman has other plans for it.
The result is a classic point-and-click adventure full of dialogue, puzzles and graphic-novel-style scenes. You’ll spend more time investigating and talking to characters than fighting enemies. GOG lists both Windows and macOS editions; the Windows minimum specifications include 1.5GB RAM, OpenGL 2.0-compatible graphics and around 5GB of storage.
Why does A New Beginning Final Cut free on GOG show a price?
Check that you’re on the correct game page and that the offer hasn’t ended. The regular sale price can appear alongside Go to giveaway, which is the promotion you need. If the button is missing, sign in, refresh the page and look for the current giveaway banner on GOG’s home page.
If A New Beginning: Final Cut doesn’t appear in your library, check that you used the same account for the claim and search for its full title. Looking at the store page or adding it to your wishlist doesn’t give you ownership. You should see a successful claim confirmation.
Are other PC games free this weekend?
Yes. Asleep: Act 1 is also free to keep on Steam until 6pm GMT on 2 November, four hours after the GOG deadline. It’s a separate game and needs a separate Steam claim. You can also check our free PC games roundup for other offers.
If you’re looking for A New Beginning Final Cut free on GOG, secure the GOG licence first. The most reliable check is finding the full game in your account’s Games Library before Monday’s cutoff.
