Albion Online Dragonslayer Armor is a three-piece leather set introduced in Dragonfire. The Hood detects invisible enemies and slows their cooldown recovery. The Jacket lets you launch to a chosen location and create a protective area, while the Shoes trade built-up movement speed for a reset of your weapon cooldowns.
You can craft Dragonslayer pieces from Fire Dragon Scales or artifacts dropped by Dragons. Check the recipe for the exact piece and tier you need before buying materials. Drake Eggs, Spirit Waystones and Dragon Blood have different purposes.
Albion Online Dragonslayer Armor: Hood, Jacket and Shoes explained
The Hood reveals stealth and disrupts cooldowns, the Jacket creates a protected landing area, and the Shoes let you trade movement speed for another use of your weapon abilities. The right choice depends on what your build needs.
| Leather piece | Ability | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Dragonslayer Hood | Flare | Reveals invisible enemies and slows their cooldown recovery |
| Dragonslayer Jacket | Protective landing zone | Launch to a chosen position and create a barrier |
| Dragonslayer Shoes | Movement and cooldowns | Build movement-speed stacks or use them to refund weapon cooldowns |
You don’t need to wear every piece to use one of these abilities. Choose the Hood if detecting invisible opponents matters, compare the Jacket for repositioning, and consider the Shoes when weapon cooldowns are part of your plan.
How to get Albion Online Dragonslayer Armor materials
Fire Dragon Scales come from defeating Drakes and Dragons. Some Dragonslayer pieces use scales and others can be made from Dragon-dropped artifacts. Check the exact recipe rather than assuming every slot and tier requires the same ingredients.
In the Ancient Lands, clear each island by defeating 50% of its mobs to spawn a Keystone. Use that to open a Leygate and reach the next island. All four Drake objectives must be completed to summon the central Fire Drake.
Patch 3 shifted more loot into the central Fire Drake chest and increased its chance of Fire Dragon armour artifacts. That makes it an important objective if you’re chasing materials rather than simply collecting rewards from the first islands you reach.
Dragons also attack the open world. They can appear with little warning on the Royal Continent, while Outlands attacks are announced ahead of time. You can take part in these encounters without entering the separate 20-player Dragon Sanctuary raid.

Albion Online Dragonslayer Armor: Hood Flare
Flare on the Dragonslayer Hood reveals enemies, including invisible players, and slows their cooldown recovery. It’s useful for catching stealth users or disrupting an opponent’s timing rather than dealing damage directly.
Patch 3 reduced Flare’s cooldown from 25 to 20 seconds and increased its cooldown-rate reduction from 50% to 66%. Patch 4 corrected an inaccurate spell description, so use the current tooltip if another guide shows conflicting figures.
Albion Online Dragonslayer Armor: Jacket ability
The Dragonslayer Jacket sends you to a chosen position and creates a protected area when you land. The barrier protects against enemies outside it while boosting your damage and cooldown recovery. Where you land matters.
Because the Jacket changes your position, consider what happens after landing, not just the protection it gives. It can get you into a contested position, but only if that is where you actually want to be.
How Dragonslayer Shoes use speed and cooldowns
The Dragonslayer Shoes build movement-speed stacks that you can consume to refund weapon cooldowns. Keep the stacks to move faster, or spend them to use weapon skills sooner. Choosing when to do each is the point of the ability.

Crafting checklist for Albion Online Dragonslayer Armor
Select the exact Hood, Jacket or Shoes in the crafting interface and check its tier and material requirements. The official overview identifies scales and artifacts, but doesn’t provide one fixed ingredient list for every tier and enchantment.
Remember that Spirit Waystones open Dragon Sanctuary raids, Dragon Blood goes into Lifeward Potions, and Drake Eggs can be raised into Firewing Drakes or used for biscuits. These aren’t interchangeable with the armour materials.
Choose the ability you want first, then farm its crafting materials. The Ancient Lands, Sanctuary and Firewing Drake guides below explain the related Dragonfire activities, while our other Albion guides cover current seasonal rewards.
