Genshin Impact 3.2 leaks: Nahida expressions changed and other beta updates

dendro archon's true name nahida

We’re at the end of the first half of the 3.1 update for Genshin Impact, and the official announcement of the Nilou/Albedo banner is the biggest proof of it. This also means that the beta server is receiving its final updates, such as changes to all of the Nahida expressions and other balancement updates.

Nahida, also known as Lesser Lord Kusanali, will be one of the featured 5-star characters in the next update, being introduced as a 5-star Dendro Catalyst character. She’s the first truly limited Dendro character as well as the first Catalyst-wielding one.

In the same update, we also welcome Layla, a 4-star Cryo Sword character who will be made available in one of its banners. She also received changes in this beta update.

There were also modifications made to the new Weekly Boss, Scaramouche. While the man himself won’t be playable in this update, he’s speculated to be released in the following one with his new Anemo element.

Be aware that while the following information comes from reliable sources, it’s all related to a beta server, so everything is subject to change. Without further ado, let’s hop on the main changes!

Changes to the Nahida expressions

Hoyoverse decided to pull a Diluc on the Dendro Archon. Instead of the old, cheerful expressions we’ve seen the small girl exhibit in her first gameplay videos, she now has more generic and boring ones. Truly the biggest of nerfs.

Whether it was done to optimize her animations or for any other reason, the community hasn’t received this change very well. It could still be just a bug similar to Diluc’s case, but we’ll need to wait and see if this change will be reverted. The Nahida expressions were one of her biggest selling points, so it’s strange to see them being removed.

Balancement changes to Nahida and Layla

Aside from the lost Nahida expressions, the beta has also received some updates to characters’ numbers and effects. They were all documented in the Wangsheng Funeral Parley discord server, where most of the recent leaks are compilated.

First, let’s hop onto the Nahida changes. While her happiness is gone, at least she got some good buffs in her gameplay.

Text Changes

E – Mentions marking “Up to 8” with Press E now

Q – “Even if Nahida is not on the field, these bonuses will still take effect so long as party members are within the Shrine of Maya.” added to EN text

Number Changes

Nahida now has no ICD on her E Chain (Technically it’s set to 1 app every 1s but since it’s a 2.5s trigger interval, you can’t ever reach that therefore making the real world change be No ICD)

A1 –

The Elemental Mastery of the active character within the field will be increased by 20% -> 25% of the Elemental Mastery of the party member with the highest Elemental Mastery

You can gain a maximum of 200 -> 250 Elemental Mastery in this manner.

(NOTE: This change is not reflected in EN text)

E –

Karma Purification Trigger Interval – 1.9s -> 2.5s

Seed Duration – 20s -> 25s

Q (At Lv.10) –

Pyro DMG Bonus 1 Char – 20.016% -> 26.784%

Pyro DMG Bonus 2 Chars – 30.096% -> 40.176%

Electro CD Decrease 1 char – 0.300672s -> 0.4464s

Electro CD Decrease 2 chars – 0.450288s -> 0.6696s

Hydro Duration Extension 1 char – 4.0032s -> 6.0192s

Hydro Duration Extention 2 chars – 6.00624s -> 9.0288s

That’s a lot of text, but in summary: Her numbers are better, and she does more damage. Her Skill has received a QoL of change and will always proc an Elemental Reaction. Also, the bonus from her Burst is stronger and will work even if she’s out of the field. She’s on her way to being a great Dendro Sub DPS!

Layla has also received some changes:

Number Changes

E (At Lv10) –

Skill DMG – 26.7264% -> 23.04%

Shoting Star DMG – 30.7354% -> 26.496%

E CD – 15s -> 12s

Q (At Lv10) –

Starlight Slug DMG – 12.6878% -> 8.3678%

Q CD – 15s -> 12s

Q Cost – 60 cost -> 40 cost

Her changes are seemly a nerf at a first glance, but they were actually more beneficial to her, and she’s now a lot better than before. Hear me out.

Her role is to grant her teammates shields based on her Health, which means she won’t deal much damage anyway, similar to Diona. While she lost some of her already low damage, her Skill and her Burst now have the same duration and CD, making them infinite.

Also, her Burst now costs only 40 energy, which greatly alleviates her ER requirements. She’s now a better option to apply Cryo, shields, and Millelith buff at the same time.

Also, as mentioned, the Scaramouche Weekly Boss also been changed:

Other Info

Weekly Boss HP has been increased for the other part of the boss fight than last time

This time from 163.008 Base HP -> 203.76 Base HP

Resistance on this part has also been increased from 10% -> 30%

The boss also went from 50% electro resist to 90%

Scaramouche’s fight is looking tough and will feature multiple stages, just like the previous Fatui. He now has even more resistance to Electro than Childe, who only has 70%.

The beta still has a few weeks to go, and other things could change. Hopefully, one of them will be the return of the Nahida expressions. Or we can dream of it.

Genshin Impact is currently available for PS4, PS5, Pc, Android, and iOS, with a Nintendo Switch version currently in development.
