Genshin Impact Diluc arms crossed, expressionless bug

Diluc, a character in Genshin Impact sometimes known as Teyvats very own Batman, wasn’t apparently intended to be as expressionless as he is.

Genshin Impact’s Diluc being expressionless is a bug?

If you’ve played a bit of Genshin Impact, you’ll likely already be familiar with the 5-star claymore user, Diluc Ragnvindr from Mondstadt, and if you’ve done any quests featuring him, you’ll probably be aware he isn’t particularly expressive about the vast majority of things.

However, in a surprising tidbit revealed by the update summary patch notes, we learn that Diluc, the man who looks somewhere between total indifference and 5 seconds away from murdering you at all times, is in fact supposed to have an expression during his elemental burst.

For those not familiar with Genshin Impact, yes, that is how Diluc looks the vast majority of the time. Expressions are not really his thing. The latest update summary, however, featured this note regarding Diluc.

Now fortunately for everyone who has been fairly amused by Diluc’s absolute lack of being bothered by anything occurring within the same solar system as him, this does seem to just be a change to his elemental burst animation and not the character in general – Genshin does have plenty of friendly or approachable characters already, so Diluc going the same way would somewhat deprive the playerbase of what is currently a niche personality, until we get the likes of Scaramouche, anyway.

All in all, pretty sure I’d still prefer totally expressionless Diluc personally, but I suppose we’ll have to see what they have in mind with that change.

Regardless, that’s everything there is to say on this curious part of the patch notes, though if you’d be interested in catching more Genshin content, you can find it in our Genshin Impact category right here on The Click.

If you haven’t yet tried Genshin Impact, you can play the game for free on mobile devices including Android and iOS alongside consoles such as Playstation 4, Playstation 5 and Pc on both miHoYo’s official launcher and Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch version is stated to be in development.
