ESO solo dungeons Season Two lets you play Moon Hunter Keep and March of Sacrifices without putting together a four-player group. The new versions launched on October 21, 2026, with reworked encounters, optional NPC Companions and extra difficulty settings.
Both dungeons still have their original group versions. If you want to follow the stories at your own pace, choose the solo version; if you want the traditional group challenge, it’s still there. Here’s where to enter each one and what you can earn.
Which ESO solo dungeons Season Two introduced
The two ESO solo dungeons Season Two introduced are part of the older Wolfhunter content. The original group dungeons joined the ESO base game on October 19, with their separate solo versions arriving two days later.
| Dungeon | Where | Solo mode |
|---|---|---|
| Moon Hunter Keep | Reaper’s March | Rebalanced for one player, optional Companion |
| March of Sacrifices | Greenshade | Rebalanced for one player, optional Companion |
The solo versions are designed for one player, with mechanics and enemy strength adjusted accordingly. You’re not locked out of the group versions, and clearing a group instance isn’t a substitute for completing a solo challenge or its associated achievements.

How to access ESO solo dungeons Season Two
To start, open your world map and find Moon Hunter Keep in Reaper’s March or March of Sacrifices in Greenshade. Choose the Solo Dungeon option for the one you want. ZeniMax also confirms that you can select the solo version at the dungeon’s physical entrance.
You can go in on your own or bring an NPC Companion you’ve already unlocked. You don’t need three other players or a normal group queue. If you’re struggling to find the entrance, our Moon Hunter Keep solo guide and March of Sacrifices solo guide cover each location individually.
Those two guides also have their own encounter and reward breakdowns. This overview is for deciding which mode to enter and how the new ESO solo dungeons Season Two system works.
How do Meted Misfortunes change the difficulty?
Meted Misfortunes let you make a solo dungeon harder. At the start of a run, the modifier selection allows you to add up to three challenges. Leave them off for a gentler story-focused run, or turn them on if you want to test your build.
| Misfortunes | Intended difficulty |
|---|---|
| 0 | Comparable to overland content |
| 1 | Comparable to a normal solo arena |
| 2 | Comparable to a veteran solo arena |
| 3 | Harder than comparable existing solo challenges |
The difficulty rises with each active Misfortune, as shown in ZeniMax’s official Update 51 notes. One is roughly comparable to a normal solo arena, two to a veteran solo arena, and all three provide the hardest experience. Start without them if you’re learning the mechanics, then add more on later runs.
Rewards from ESO solo dungeons Season Two
ESO solo dungeons Season Two offers Undaunted Crests, new equipment and collectible styles. Moon Hunter Keep has Mylenne Moon-Caller furnishing and outfit rewards, while March of Sacrifices has Tarcyr items. The two dungeons don’t share exactly the same reward list.
Spend Undaunted Crests with Veya Thenim at the Undaunted Enclaves outside Wayrest, Mournhold and Elden Root. Some curated reward containers become available only after you’ve completed the matching solo dungeon. You can find the specific trophies, styles and achievements in the individual guides.
Because these are distinct solo modes, finishing the regular group dungeon doesn’t complete the corresponding solo achievements. Higher difficulty offers greater rewards, so there is a reason to return after your first clear.
Is Vateshran Hollows another solo dungeon?
No. Vateshran Hollows is a purpose-built solo arena introduced with the Markarth DLC. Markarth is scheduled to join the base game on November 9, whereas the two new solo dungeon versions have been available since October 21.
Our ESO Markarth free guide explains when the Reach and Vateshran Hollows become accessible without buying the DLC. The arena has its own bosses and rewards; it isn’t another version of a Wolfhunter dungeon.
Which solo dungeon should you play first?
If you’re curious about werewolves and Moon Hunter Keep’s castle setting, start there. If you prefer Hircine’s hunting grounds, try March of Sacrifices. Either way, selecting zero Misfortunes is a good first run before trying the tougher challenges.
For anyone who usually avoids group dungeons, ESO solo dungeons Season Two gives both stories a more accessible route. Once you’ve learned a dungeon, you can return with more Misfortunes for additional rewards. Our Update 51 guide and Season Two overview cover the rest of the update.
