Yes. Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit is a new costumed Pokémon debuting during this event.
It is separate from World Championships 2026 Pikachu, which is another new costumed Pikachu introduced during the same celebration.
The two costumes also have different event availability.
Cosmog Spacesuit Pikachu Pokémon GO begins appearing on August 25 during PokémonXP.
World Championships 2026 Pikachu does not become available until the World Championships portion begins on August 28.
Both new costumes can potentially be Shiny.
Cosmog Spacesuit Pikachu vs World Championships 2026 Pikachu
The two new costumed Pikachu should not be confused with each other.
| Pokémon | Debut | Raid Availability | Shiny |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit | August 25 | PokémonXP and Worlds | Yes |
| World Championships 2026 Pikachu | August 28 | Worlds only | Yes |
Cosmog Spacesuit Pikachu Pokémon GO has the longer announced raid window because it appears throughout both event phases.
World Championships 2026 Pikachu has a shorter raid period beginning on August 28.
Is Cosmog Spacesuit Pikachu Pokémon GO Available in the Wild?
No wild encounter for Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit has been announced.
The confirmed acquisition methods are one-star raids and the PokémonXP Timed Research encounter.
The wild encounter lists for PokémonXP and the World Championships contain other Pokémon such as Ralts, Spheal, Deino, Mankey, Totodile, Beldum and Togetic, but Cosmog Spacesuit Pikachu Pokémon GO is not included in either announced wild pool.
Trainers wanting multiple encounters should therefore focus on one-star raids during the event.

The additional PokémonXP Timed Research opportunity is tied to the August 29 anniversary panel.
Pokémon has not announced when Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit will return after this event.
Anyone wanting the costume or its Shiny form should therefore use the confirmed August event window rather than assuming it will immediately return in another event.
