The Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 Twitch Drops and watch rewards give Trainers several opportunities to earn exclusive Timed Research, special Pokémon encounters and avatar items by watching the World Championships and PokémonXP broadcasts from August 28 to 30, 2026.
Four different watch-time rewards have already been announced. These include Great League team-building research, a special Tinkaton based on 2025 World Champion Beezleboy’s championship Pokémon, World Championships 2026 Pikachu and Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit.
A separate code for the green 2026 Worlds Tee avatar item will also be displayed during the World Championships broadcast.

The World Championships watch rewards are available during the competition running from Friday, August 28 through Sunday, August 30.
The PokémonXP reward is connected specifically to the Celebrating 10 Years of Pokémon GO panel taking place on Saturday, August 29.
Team Building Great League Timed Research
One of the first Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 Twitch Drops requires 30 minutes of watch time.
The reward unlocks Team Building: Great League Bonus Timed Research.
This is branching research designed around creating a Great League team. Trainers will be able to choose from branches based around Lickitung, Totodile and Paldean Wooper.
| Research Path | Featured Pokémon |
|---|---|
| Lickitung | Lickitung |
| Totodile | Totodile |
| Paldean Wooper | Paldean Wooper |
The full tasks and rewards for each branch have not yet been announced.
The best research path will therefore depend on the complete encounters, Pokémon details and rewards attached to each branch once the research becomes available.
2025 World Champion’s Timed Research
Watching the World Championships broadcast for 60 minutes will unlock another special Timed Research reward.
The 2025 World Champion’s Timed Research celebrates Beezleboy, who won the Pokémon GO World Championship in 2025.
Completing the research will provide an encounter with the same Tinkaton that Beezleboy used as part of his championship team.
This Tinkaton will also have a unique Special Background.
An Elite Charged TM is another confirmed reward from the research.
That makes the 2025 World Champion’s Timed Research one of the most substantial Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 Twitch Drops announced so far, particularly for Trainers interested in competitive Pokémon GO.
How to Get World Championships 2026 Pikachu From the Stream
World Championships 2026 Pikachu is one of two new costumed Pikachu making their debut as part of the wider PokémonXP and Worlds celebration.
Trainers can obtain another opportunity to encounter it through Greetings from San Francisco Bonus Timed Research.
Unlike the main Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 Twitch Drops, this reward is specifically connected to official Pokémon GO co-streamers.
Trainers need to watch an eligible official co-stream for 45 minutes to earn the Timed Research.
The research features an encounter with World Championships 2026 Pikachu.
World Championships 2026 Pikachu can also potentially be Shiny.
The costumed Pikachu is separately available through other parts of the in-game event, so the stream reward is not its only acquisition method.

PokémonXP Timed Research Reward
Another watch reward becomes available during the PokémonXP panel on Saturday, August 29.
The panel is titled Celebrating 10 Years of Pokémon GO and forms part of the inaugural PokémonXP event.
Watching the panel for 30 minutes through the PokémonXP Twitch channel will earn PokémonXP Timed Research.
The featured reward is an encounter with Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit.
Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit is another new costumed Pokémon debuting during the celebration and can potentially be Shiny.
This reward is tied to the PokémonXP panel rather than the regular three-day World Championships competitive stream, so Trainers interested in obtaining every Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 Twitch Drops reward will need to keep track of both broadcasts.
Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 Stream Schedule
The competitive Pokémon GO World Championships take place from August 28 to August 30, 2026, in San Francisco, California.
The action begins at 9:00 a.m. PDT each day.
| Day | Date | Stream |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | August 28 | Pokémon GO Twitch channel |
| Day 2 | August 29 | Pokémon GO Twitch channel |
| Day 3 | August 30 | Pokémon Twitch channel |
The English broadcast therefore changes channel for the final day.
Trainers interested in the Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 Twitch Drops should make sure they are watching an eligible broadcast while working towards the required watch time.
Important Dates & Stream Times
How to Earn Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 Twitch Drops
Pokémon’s Twitch reward system requires Trainers to watch an eligible broadcast for the required amount of time.
Before the event begins, Trainers should make sure their Twitch account and Pokémon Trainer Central account are correctly linked.
Watch progress needs to reach the required amount for each reward before it can be claimed.
The four currently announced watch requirements are 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 45 minutes and 30 minutes depending on the reward.
Because the Greetings from San Francisco reward is associated with official co-streamers and the PokémonXP reward is associated with a separate PokémonXP broadcast, watching only the standard World Championships stream may not be enough to obtain every announced reward.
Can You Earn More Than One Worlds Twitch Reward?
The announcement includes several separate rewards with different watch requirements and broadcast conditions.
Trainers can therefore target multiple Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 Twitch Drops across the weekend rather than choosing only one of the four announced rewards.
The Team Building research and 2025 World Champion’s Timed Research are both tied to the World Championships coverage, while Greetings from San Francisco requires an official co-stream and PokémonXP Timed Research requires the separate anniversary panel.
Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 Tee Code
There is also a free avatar item available during the broadcast.
A redemption code for the green 2026 Worlds Tee will be displayed during the World Championships stream.
The 2026 Worlds Tee will be available globally through the code, meaning Trainers do not need to attend the San Francisco event in person.
No code has been announced ahead of the broadcast.
Pokémon GO Worlds Twitch Rewards to Remember
There are currently five distinct broadcast-related rewards to keep track of during the celebration.
| Reward | Main Prize |
|---|---|
| Team Building: Great League Timed Research | Branching Great League research |
| 2025 World Champion’s Timed Research | Special Background Tinkaton and Elite Charged TM |
