When Does the Pokémon GO Worlds 2026 GO Pass Start?
The event GO Pass begins alongside PokémonXP on Tuesday, August 25 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Trainers will automatically receive GO Pass: PokémonXP & 2026 Worlds.
GO Points can then be collected through Sunday, August 30 at 8:00 p.m. local time.
The Pass therefore spans both sections of the celebration.
| Event | Dates |
|---|---|
| PokémonXP | August 25 at 10:00 a.m. to August 28 at 10:00 a.m. local time |
| World Championships event | August 28 at 10:00 a.m. to August 30 at 8:00 p.m. local time |
| GO Pass | August 25 at 10:00 a.m. to August 30 at 8:00 p.m. local time |
The Pokémon GO Worlds 2026 GO Pass rewards can continue to be earned after PokémonXP ends because the progression period remains active throughout the World Championships weekend.
Pokémon GO Worlds 2026 GO Pass Free Rewards
Every Trainer receives the free version of the event GO Pass automatically.
Pokémon has confirmed that the free Pokémon GO Worlds 2026 GO Pass rewards include encounters with event-themed Pokémon.
The complete list of encounters, items and rank rewards has not yet been announced.
That means Trainers do not need to purchase the Deluxe upgrade to participate in the progression system or begin earning GO Points.
As ranks are completed, free-track rewards can be claimed alongside any applicable milestone bonuses.
Pokémon GO Worlds 2026 GO Pass Deluxe Rewards
The paid track adds several confirmed Pokémon GO Worlds 2026 GO Pass rewards.
GO Pass Deluxe Trainers can earn:
| Deluxe Reward | Details |
|---|---|
| 2026 Worlds/PokémonXP Backpack | Event avatar item |
| Zapdos encounter | Can potentially be Shiny |
| Additional event Pokémon encounters | Deluxe-only additional encounters |
| Additional progression rewards | Full rank list to be revealed |
The Deluxe track also allows Trainers to claim the corresponding free-track rewards.
A Trainer who upgrades after already making progress can still collect previously unlocked Deluxe rewards rather than having to restart the Pass.
How Much Does GO Pass Deluxe Cost?
GO Pass Deluxe: PokémonXP & 2026 Worlds costs US$4.99 or the equivalent local pricing tier.
There is also a GO Pass Deluxe + 6 Ranks option costing US$6.99 or the equivalent local pricing tier.
| Version | Price | Starting Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Free GO Pass | Free | Standard progression |
| GO Pass Deluxe | US$4.99 | Deluxe reward track and faster progression |
| GO Pass Deluxe + 6 Ranks | US$6.99 | Deluxe rewards plus enough GO Points to reach Rank 7 |

Zapdos Pokémon GO Worlds 2026 GO Pass Reward
Zapdos is one of the most notable Pokémon GO Worlds 2026 GO Pass rewards confirmed for the Deluxe track.
Trainers who progress through GO Pass Deluxe can earn a Zapdos encounter.
Zapdos obtained through GO Pass: PokémonXP & 2026 Worlds can potentially be Shiny.
The encounter also has a wider variance of Attack, Defense and HP.
This means the possible IV combinations are broader than they would be for an encounter using a more restrictive reward IV floor.

How to Get the 2026 Worlds PokémonXP Backpack
The 2026 Worlds/PokémonXP Backpack is another of the confirmed Pokémon GO Worlds 2026 GO Pass rewards.
The backpack can be earned through the GO Pass Deluxe reward track.
Trainers who do not obtain it through the Pass will have another option later, as Pokémon has confirmed that the backpack will be available to purchase from the in-game shop after the event ends.
That means the avatar item is not permanently exclusive to GO Pass Deluxe.
The Pass does, however, provide a way to earn it as part of the event progression track.
Pokémon GO Worlds 2026 GO Pass Milestone Bonuses
The Pokémon GO Worlds 2026 GO Pass rewards are joined by Major Milestone bonuses that unlock when Trainers reach specific ranks.
| Rank | Bonus |
|---|---|
| Rank 10 | 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon |
| Rank 20 | Additional 3,000 XP from raids |
| Rank 20 with GO Pass Deluxe | Up to two additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs |
The Rank 10 bonus increases Stardust earned from catching Pokémon.
At Rank 20, Trainers receive an additional 3,000 XP from raids.
GO Pass Deluxe strengthens the Rank 20 milestone by allowing Trainers to receive up to two additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs.
These Raid Passes may be particularly useful during the event because the raid pool includes the new costumed Pikachu, Impidimp and Honedge across the two celebration periods.
Unlimited GO Points During Worlds 2026
There will be a period during which the normal daily GO Point earning limit is removed.
From Saturday, August 29 at 12:00 a.m. until Sunday, August 30 at 7:59 p.m. local time, there will be no daily limit on how many GO Points can be earned.
This gives Trainers a large catch-up window near the end of the event.
Anyone who has fallen behind on the Pokémon GO Worlds 2026 GO Pass rewards before the World Championships weekend can use this unlimited period to make additional progress.
| Unlimited GO Points Begins | Unlimited GO Points Ends |
|---|---|
| August 29 at 12:00 a.m. local time | August 30 at 7:59 p.m. local time |
The normal GO Pass earning period itself ends one minute later at 8:00 p.m. local time on August 30.
Can You Upgrade to GO Pass Deluxe Later?
Yes.
Trainers can upgrade to GO Pass Deluxe after they have already begun progressing through the free GO Pass.
Previously unlocked Deluxe rewards can still be claimed after upgrading.
This means there is no requirement to purchase GO Pass Deluxe immediately on August 25.
Trainers who want to see more of the complete Pokémon GO Worlds 2026 GO Pass rewards before deciding whether to pay can begin using the free track first and upgrade later.
Is the Pokémon GO Worlds 2026 GO Pass Free?
The standard GO Pass is free.
Every Trainer automatically receives GO Pass: PokémonXP & 2026 Worlds when the event starts on August 25 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Only GO Pass Deluxe and GO Pass Deluxe + 6 Ranks require payment.
The free track still contains Pokémon GO Worlds 2026 GO Pass rewards and provides access to the Major Milestone progression system.
When Do Pokémon GO Worlds 2026 GO Pass Rewards Expire?
The earning period ends on Sunday, August 30 at 8:00 p.m. local time, but Trainers have additional time to claim rewards they have already unlocked.
Pokémon GO Worlds 2026 GO Pass rewards expire on Tuesday, September 1 at 7:59 p.m. local time.
Any unlocked rewards that have not been claimed before that deadline will no longer be available.
| Deadline | Time |
|---|---|

| Claim unlocked rewards until | September 1 at 7:59 p.m. local time |
Trainers should therefore check the Pass after the World Championships event ends and make sure every unlocked reward has been claimed.
