The Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 raids feature two different one-star raid pools across PokémonXP and the World Championships event, including Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit, World Championships 2026 Pikachu, Impidimp and Honedge.
PokémonXP runs from August 25 at 10:00 a.m. until August 28 at 10:00 a.m. local time. The raid pool then changes immediately when the Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 event begins, with the second group of raid bosses available until August 30 at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Every Pokémon announced for these event raids can potentially be encountered as a Shiny Pokémon.

All Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 Raids
There are two different Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 raids periods to keep track of.
| Event Period | Raid Boss | Tier | Shiny Available |
|---|---|---|---|
| PokémonXP | Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit | One-Star | Yes |
| PokémonXP | Impidimp | One-Star | Yes |

Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit is the only announced raid boss that remains available across both portions of the celebration.
Impidimp is exclusive to the PokémonXP raid period, while World Championships 2026 Pikachu and Honedge replace it when the World Championships event starts.
PokémonXP Raids
The first raid pool is available during PokémonXP from Tuesday, August 25 at 10:00 a.m. until Friday, August 28 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
There are two announced one-star raid bosses during this period.
| Pokémon | Raid Tier | Shiny Available |
|---|---|---|
| Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit | One-Star | Yes |
| Impidimp | One-Star | Yes |
Trainers specifically looking for Impidimp need to complete their raids before PokémonXP ends on August 28.
Once the event changes over at 10:00 a.m. local time, Impidimp is no longer included in the announced event raid pool.
Pikachu Wearing a Cosmog-Themed Spacesuit Raids
Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit makes its Pokémon GO debut during the PokémonXP and World Championships celebration.
Unlike the other announced raid bosses, the costumed Pikachu remains available during both event periods.
It first appears in one-star raids from August 25 at 10:00 a.m. local time and continues into the World Championships portion through August 30 at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit can be Shiny.
The Pokémon is also available through PokémonXP Timed Research connected to the Celebrating 10 Years of Pokémon GO panel on August 29, providing another opportunity to obtain the new costume without relying entirely on raids.

Impidimp Raids During PokémonXP
Impidimp appears in one-star raids during the PokémonXP portion of the event.
Its raid availability runs from August 25 at 10:00 a.m. until August 28 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Impidimp can potentially be Shiny.
Because it does not remain in the announced raid pool once the World Championships event begins, Trainers wanting to use raids specifically to hunt Impidimp have a three-day window.

Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 Raid Bosses
At 10:00 a.m. local time on Friday, August 28, the PokémonXP raid pool ends and the Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 raids begin.
Three Pokémon will then appear in one-star raids.
| Pokémon | Raid Tier | Shiny Available |
|---|---|---|
| Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit | One-Star | Yes |
| World Championships 2026 Pikachu | One-Star | Yes |
| Honedge | One-Star | Yes |
These raids remain available until Sunday, August 30 at 8:00 p.m. local time.
World Championships 2026 Pikachu Raids
World Championships 2026 Pikachu is the second new costumed Pikachu debuting during the celebration.
It does not appear in the PokémonXP raid pool and instead becomes available when the main World Championships event starts on August 28.
World Championships 2026 Pikachu can potentially be Shiny.
Trainers will also have another opportunity to encounter it through Greetings from San Francisco Bonus Timed Research.
That research can be earned by watching an official Pokémon GO co-streamer during the World Championships for 45 minutes.
For collectors, this means raids are not the only method of obtaining World Championships 2026 Pikachu, although repeated raids provide additional encounter opportunities during the limited event window.

Resists

Honedge Raids During Pokémon GO Worlds 2026
Honedge joins the Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 raids when the main event begins on August 28.
It appears in one-star raids until August 30 at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Honedge can potentially be Shiny.
Unlike Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit, Honedge is not part of the preceding PokémonXP raid pool, so Trainers specifically targeting Honedge need to wait until the World Championships portion of the celebration begins.

Are the Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 Raid Bosses Shiny?
Yes. All of the announced Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 raids feature Pokémon that can potentially be encountered as Shiny Pokémon.
That includes both costumed Pikachu, Impidimp and Honedge.
| Raid Boss | Shiny Available |
|---|---|
| Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit | Yes |
| Impidimp | Yes |
| World Championships 2026 Pikachu | Yes |
| Honedge | Yes |
The event announcement confirms that Shiny versions are possible but does not state that raid Shiny rates will be increased.
Trainers should therefore avoid assuming boosted Shiny odds unless additional information is announced closer to or during the event.
Which Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 Raids Should You Prioritise?
The best raid target depends largely on what a Trainer already has.
The two costumed Pikachu are new event Pokémon, making them particularly relevant for collectors.
Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit is available for the longest period because it appears across both PokémonXP and the World Championships event.
World Championships 2026 Pikachu has a shorter raid window beginning on August 28.
Impidimp should be prioritised before August 28 by anyone specifically wanting to raid it because its announced event availability ends when PokémonXP finishes.
Honedge works in the opposite direction. It does not appear in the event raid pool until August 28, meaning there is no reason to spend Raid Passes looking for it during the PokémonXP portion.
When Do the Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 Raids Change?
The raid pool changes on Friday, August 28 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Before that point, the event raid bosses are Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit and Impidimp.
After 10:00 a.m. local time, the pool becomes Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit, World Championships 2026 Pikachu and Honedge.
| Date | Active Raid Pool |
|---|---|
| August 25 at 10:00 a.m. to August 28 at 10:00 a.m. | Cosmog Spacesuit Pikachu and Impidimp |
| August 28 at 10:00 a.m. to August 30 at 8:00 p.m. | Cosmog Spacesuit Pikachu, Worlds 2026 Pikachu and Honedge |
The change is based on local time, so each Trainer’s raid pool will switch when their own local PokémonXP event ends.
GO Pass Raid Bonuses
The GO Pass running alongside PokémonXP and the World Championships also includes raid-related bonuses.
At Rank 20, Trainers unlock an additional 3,000 XP from raids.
GO Pass Deluxe holders can strengthen the Rank 20 bonus and receive up to two additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs.
Those additional passes could be useful for Trainers planning to target the limited costumed Pikachu, Impidimp or Honedge raids during the event.

When Do Pokémon GO World Championships 2026 Raids End?

PokémonXP raids end earlier on August 28 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
This means Impidimp has the shortest announced raid availability, while Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-themed spacesuit has the longest because it remains available throughout both portions of the celebration.
