Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World 2026 bundle went on sale in the UK on 29 October 2026. You get a standard Switch 2 console, a download code for the full Mario Kart World game, and another code for 90 days of Nintendo Switch Online Individual membership. It’s the newer holiday bundle, not the original console package released in June 2025.
You won’t find a Mario Kart World cartridge in this box. The included game is digital, and the three-month Online membership is a separate entitlement. Nintendo also confirms that the Switch 2 hardware in this particular bundle does not have a user-replaceable battery, despite the separate rollout of revised consoles in Europe.
What comes in the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World 2026 bundle?
| Console | Standard Nintendo Switch 2 system |
|---|---|
| Game | Mario Kart World full game download |
| Online | Individual Nintendo Switch Online membership code, 3 months (90 days) |
| Controllers | Joy-Con 2 (L) and (R), 2 straps and Joy-Con 2 grip |
| TV and charging | Switch 2 dock, AC adapter, Ultra High Speed HDMI cable |
| Other | Important Information leaflet |
The box includes everything required for a normal handheld or TV setup. A Pro Controller, Switch 2 Camera, steering wheels and additional storage aren’t part of the standard package. Retailers may sell their own expanded offers, so check whether any extras are genuinely included in the listing you’re buying.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World 2026 bundle gives you the whole game, including Grand Prix racing, Knockout Tour and Free Roam. You aren’t buying a trial or a limited selection of tracks. Our Mario Kart World Free Roam guide covers what to do when you’re ready to explore outside races.
Is Mario Kart World on a game card?
No. Nintendo supplies Mario Kart World as a full-game download code, not a physical game card. Redeem the game code using the Nintendo Account that should own it, then download it through Nintendo eShop. You can continue playing the game after the included three months of Online membership ends. Only subscription-dependent features need an active membership.
There are two separate codes to keep track of: the Mario Kart World download and the Nintendo Switch Online membership. Use the account intended for the game when redeeming its code, and check the account and membership type before claiming the 90-day voucher. If you’re buying the bundle as a gift, it’s worth letting the recipient redeem the codes on their own account.
How does the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World 2026 bundle compare with the original 2025 bundle?
The original Mario Kart World Switch 2 bundle launched on 5 June 2025 and had limited production through autumn 2025. Nintendo’s 29 October 2026 package adds a clearly advertised three-month Nintendo Switch Online Individual membership code. That inclusion is what you should look for when comparing similarly named listings from different years.
For the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World 2026 bundle, check the product listing for the October release and the 90-day Individual Online code. The game may look identical in photos, but the extra membership is the point of the new package.
Does the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World 2026 bundle have a user-replaceable battery?
No. Nintendo’s UK holiday bundle announcement explicitly says the October consoles don’t have user-replaceable batteries. The company is introducing separately revised Switch 2 models in Europe, but a new bundle released in 2026 doesn’t automatically contain revised hardware. The standard and revised consoles play the same compatible games.
If being able to replace the battery yourself matters, don’t rely on the release date or the picture of Mario Kart World on the box. Check the console revision you’re buying. Nintendo gives the same non-user-replaceable-battery warning for its Sports Resort and Zelda anniversary holiday packages.
How do you use the 90-day membership code?
The bundled subscription is Nintendo Switch Online Individual, not a Family plan or Expansion Pack. Open Nintendo eShop on Switch 2 with the intended Nintendo Account, go into Nintendo Switch Online membership options and enter the 16-character code. Nintendo then asks whether you want automatic renewal. You can leave it off if you don’t want a further paid period.
Our Nintendo Switch Online code guide explains how to extend an existing Individual membership and what happens when you have a different membership type. The Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World 2026 bundle includes both the game and a subscription, but they are separate redemptions and the game is not a 90-day trial.
What does the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World 2026 bundle cost in the UK?
For UK shoppers, the useful comparison is the actual checkout price against a standalone console, Mario Kart World and a three-month Individual membership bought separately. Retail offers change, and the membership only adds value if you plan to use it. A camera or storage card advertised as a retailer extra shouldn’t be mistaken for standard bundle contents.
If you want a broader buying decision, our Switch 2 holiday bundle comparison covers Mario Kart, Sports Resort and Zelda. The Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World 2026 bundle is the one to choose when you want a full Mario Kart World download alongside your new console and 90 days of standard individual Online membership.
