FFXIV Tifa Outfit is the five-piece Avalanche Brawler glamour set from the Final Fantasy VII Remake Keybound Brawler event. It costs 1,570 MGC for every piece: Top, Bottoms, Halfgloves, Boots and Earring. You buy them individually from the MGC Trader in the Manderville Gold Saucer.
The event began on 28 October 2026 and runs until the release of Patch 8.0. There is no separate Tifa costume quest: unlock the four-player typing activity, earn Manderville Gold Saucer Credits and purchase the Avalanche Brawler items you want.
How to unlock the FFXIV Tifa Outfit
Start by reaching level 15 and unlocking the Gold Saucer. Complete It Could Happen to You after the envoy main-scenario quest for your starting city. Its quest giver is the Well-Heeled Youth in Ul’dah, Steps of Nald (X:9.6, Y:9.0).
Once you’re inside the Gold Saucer, find the Catlike Mammet at X:5.4, Y:7.0 and finish the event quest Keyward Bound. That gives you access to the Keybound Brawler attraction, where you earn the MGC used to buy the FFXIV Tifa Outfit.
The attraction uses a physical keyboard. Players type the words displayed above approaching enemies and work with up to three others. Square Enix says gamepads and on-screen keyboards cannot provide the required typing input. You can still unlock the quest with your normal controls, but earning the credits requires the keyboard activity.
FFXIV Tifa Outfit: all five pieces and MGC costs
| Tifa-inspired item | Price |
|---|---|
| Avalanche Brawler’s Top | 430 MGC |
| Avalanche Brawler’s Bottoms | 430 MGC |
| Avalanche Brawler’s Halfgloves | 260 MGC |
| Avalanche Brawler’s Boots | 260 MGC |
| Avalanche Brawler’s Earring | 190 MGC |
| Total | 1,570 MGC |
The Top and Bottoms cost 430 MGC each. Halfgloves and Boots cost 260 MGC each, with the Earring at 190 MGC. Those prices add up to 1,570 MGC for the complete outfit, matching Square Enix’s official shop list.
You can purchase the FFXIV Tifa Outfit clothing without the earring for 1,380 MGC. Because every piece is sold separately, you can also buy just the Top or whichever item you prefer for your glamour collection. The shop uses the full in-game names shown in the table, not an item simply labelled ‘Tifa Outfit’.
Character eligibility matters: the FFXIV Tifa Outfit is restricted to female characters, including its earring. The Avalanche Brawler pieces cannot be equipped by male characters. Check that your character can wear the set before spending MGC on the complete outfit.
Where is the Tifa outfit vendor?
Speak with the MGC Trader in Keybound Square (X:6.2, Y:6.0). This is an event-specific exchange shop inside the Gold Saucer. Look for Avalanche Brawler’s Top and the other four items. You won’t find the set under the ordinary MGP prize exchange, because MGC is a different currency.
If you have enough credits for one piece, you can buy it without saving for the whole set. A quick way to plan your purchases is to budget 860 MGC for Top and Bottoms together, then another 520 for the Halfgloves and Boots. The Earring adds the last 190.
How to earn MGC for the FFXIV Tifa Outfit
Participate in Keybound Brawler to earn Manderville Gold Saucer Credits. The official event page states that all participants earn credits. Your total accumulates towards the shop prices, so choose the items you want and keep playing until you can afford them.
MGC is not MGP. Triple Triad, chocobo racing and regular Gold Saucer prizes use Manderville Gold Saucer Points, while this crossover uses its own currency. You cannot pay the MGC Trader with the MGP you’ve saved over earlier expansions. Our MGC guide explains the difference.
When does the FFXIV Tifa Outfit leave the event?
The FFVII Remake collaboration continues until Patch 8.0. Square Enix states that MGC may only be earned and exchanged during the event period. Make sure you’ve spent enough to complete the Avalanche Brawler look before the event closes.
The Tifa-inspired set is one part of the crossover shop. If you’re collecting the other FFVII cosmetics, the Barret outfit costs 1,760 MGC, and the Magitek Scorpion costs 430 MGC. For the FFXIV Tifa Outfit, your target remains 1,570 MGC for the five individual Avalanche Brawler pieces.
