2XKO Leaderboard Points: How to Reach 2,900 LP and Check Rank

2XKO Leaderboard Points (LP) decide who appears on your Casual lobby leaderboard after patch 1.3.3. You need 2,900 LP or more to make the board. Ranked mode is still disabled, so this is the new way to see how you measure up against other players.

Winning and losing Casual matches changes your rating, but the results screen won’t tell you how much LP moved. Here’s where to check it, what affects your points and whether leaving the game alone will cause your rating to decay.

How to check 2XKO Leaderboard Points and your rank

Open the Main Menu, select Profile and look for your rank and 2XKO Leaderboard Points. Riot says the profile also provides access to the leaderboard itself. You won’t see a plus or minus LP figure on the match-results screen.

Instead, 2XKO Leaderboard Points are reflected on the Casual lobby board almost immediately after a completed match. Check your number in Profile before and after a match if you want to see how much it changed. It is the current Casual lobby’s board, not an advertised worldwide top-player list.

The board shows players with 2,900 LP or more, provided someone in your current lobby has reached that mark. If nobody there has reached that threshold, the display falls back to showing win streaks rather than leaving the leaderboard empty.

How to reach 2,900 LP in 2XKO

Your 2XKO Leaderboard Points go up after wins and down after losses. The size of the change depends on the relative rating of the two players. There is no fixed amount awarded for every victory, and Riot has not published a universal table saying that a win is worth a particular number of LP.

Beating someone ranked above you earns more than beating a lower-rated opponent. Losing to a higher-rated opponent costs less; losing to a weaker opponent costs more. The less expected the result, the greater the change. That means two players with the same win count can have very different ratings.

To build your 2XKO Leaderboard Points, focus on winning consistently rather than trying to cram in as many matches as possible. Stick with a team whose basic confirms and defensive options you understand. An avoidable defeat against a lower-rated opponent may cost more than a win over that same opponent gives back.

If you’re still learning a champion, practise in Training or The Climb first. A few reliable punishes and a combo you can actually finish will help more than repeatedly dropping complicated routes in Casual. There isn’t a guaranteed LP farming trick; winning the matches is what matters.

Do 2XKO Leaderboard Points replace Ranked mode?

No. Ranked lobbies were disabled when Riot moved players into a single Casual matchmaking pool. The new 2XKO Leaderboard Points system gives Casual players a skill-linked leaderboard, but it does not reopen Ranked, bring back its previous ranks or promise an identical competitive experience.

The rating also helps the game find opponents of similar skill within Casual. Riot has separately changed its queue priorities: the Find Match button favours speed, while joining a cab through Training Mode favours closer matches. Both methods draw from the same pool.

If you want a closer skill match, queue through a cab in Training Mode rather than using Find Match. It does not guarantee an even match, and it is not a separate Ranked queue.

How 2XKO LP decay will work when enabled

Riot has announced inactivity decay for 2XKO Leaderboard Points, but it was not active when patch 1.3.3 launched. The published plan is to start decay after 14 days without playing. Once triggered, players would lose 25 LP per day, but only as far as a floor of 2,800 LP.

For 2XKO Leaderboard Points, that floor sits 100 points below the leaderboard’s 2,900 threshold. Returning to play would stop the decay immediately and reset the inactivity timer. These are future system rules, not something already deducting your LP on October 28.

For example, under Riot’s proposed rule, an inactive 3,000 LP account could eventually decay to 2,800 if the player stayed away long enough. That example describes the planned decay system. Riot has not switched it on in patch 1.3.3.

Why 2XKO Leaderboard Points may not show in your lobby

If the board displays win streaks rather than 2XKO Leaderboard Points, first check whether anyone in your current Casual lobby has reached 2,900. Riot says the display uses streaks when nobody qualifies. That behaviour is expected and does not mean Ranked has returned or your LP has vanished.

If you just finished a match, give the board a moment to update, then open Profile to check your rating. If your number is lower than expected, remember that losses can move the rating down and that two otherwise similar results can produce different changes depending on opponent strength.

There is no verified shortcut to 2,900 LP. Learn a team you enjoy, work on the matchups giving you trouble and choose whether you would rather have a quick match or wait for a closer opponent. The key number remains 2,900, and LP decay is still a future feature rather than a live penalty.
