The First Descendant October 2026 Overhaul Missions reward players for trying the revised Freyna, Gley and Enzo builds alongside other activities introduced in Update 1.4.5. The missions run from October 15 to November 16, with Archive Shards, Veildust, module rewards and component selection boxes available.
The event contains weekly missions and one-time special missions, with another set of support rewards for newer players. The weekly tasks reset every Thursday, so they’re worth completing before each reset.
The First Descendant October 2026 Overhaul Missions: weekly rewards
Two weekly missions reward Archive Shards, an Ultimate Gley material pattern and Veildust. They reset every Thursday at 00:00 PDT during the event.
| Mission | Requirement | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Joint Mission I | Complete HQ Special Orders twice | 50 Archive Shards |
| Joint Mission II | Complete Sigma Sector four times on any difficulty | One Amorphous Material Pattern: Ultimate Gley and 100 Veildust |
The First Descendant October 2026 Overhaul Missions: special objectives
The First Descendant October 2026 Overhaul Missions also include three one-time Growth objectives. Two concern the recently updated Descendants, while the other asks you to purchase a module from Silion in Albion.
| Mission | Requirement | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Growth Mission I | Purchase one module from Silion | 30 Archive Shards and one Ultimate Freyna’s Transcendent Module Selection Box |
| Growth Mission II | Reach Unique Arche Factor Level 10 with Freyna, Gley or Enzo | One Axium Research Materials Selection Box |
| Growth Mission III | Unlock a Trigger Module for Freyna, Gley or Enzo | One Trigger Module Selection Box J |
The Ultimate Freyna’s Transcendent Module Selection Box allows a selection from Transcendent Modules for Freyna or Ultimate Freyna, Gley or Ultimate Gley, or Enzo. Despite the box’s name, the eligible choices are not restricted to Freyna.
The Axium Research Materials Selection Box allows you to choose 50 Entropium, Kerasid, Silentra or Breach Stone Shards. Trigger Module Selection Box J includes a selection of available modules, including Prepping in the Dark.
Do earlier upgrades count towards The First Descendant October 2026 Overhaul Missions?
Yes. Nexon specifies that Growth Missions II and III will automatically complete if you’ve already reached the Unique Arche Factor Level 10 target or unlocked the required Trigger Module. You won’t need to repeat qualifying progress just because this event started after you’d earned it.
Growth Support in The First Descendant October 2026 Overhaul Missions
There is a separate track for players at Mastery Rank 20 or below. Once you begin it, reaching Mastery Rank 21 during the event won’t remove access to the track.
| Weekly mission | Requirement | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly Mission I | Complete HQ Special Orders once | 30 Archive Shards |
| Weekly Mission II | Complete Sigma Sector twice on any difficulty | One Growth Support Box IV |
Growth Support Box IV contains one-hour boosts of 50% for Gold, Kuiper Shards, Descendant EXP, Weapon Proficiency and Unique Arche Factor EXP.
When do The First Descendant October 2026 Overhaul Missions reset?
Joint Mission I and Joint Mission II are weekly, resetting every Thursday at 00:00 PDT. Their HQ Special Orders and Sigma Sector objectives can therefore be completed again after the next reset during the event period. The three Growth Missions have a different rule: each special mission can only be completed once before the November 16 deadline.
If you’ve already reached Unique Arche Factor Level 10 or unlocked an eligible Trigger Module, those special missions complete automatically. That leaves the Silion module purchase as the remaining one-time task to handle separately.
Where to open The First Descendant October 2026 Overhaul Missions
Open the game menu and select Event, or use the Descendant Mission Board through its shortcut or the NPC BB-On. The board contains the active mission progress and reward claims.
The First Descendant October 2026 Overhaul Missions end on November 16, 2026, at 10:59 PM PST. Weekly missions reset on Thursdays, while special missions only need to be completed once. The separate Growth Support track shares the same deadline.
