Free Mega Energy Regional Championships 2027: How to Get It in Pokémon GO

Free Mega Energy Regional Championships 2027 rewards are split between two different Timed Research lines, which makes the total easy to underestimate if you only open one research tab. Kangaskhan receives the largest single payout through Lure Up 2027, while the separate Bonus Event research covers five additional Mega Evolutions through its GO Battle League stages.

Across the two research lines, Trainers can collect 2,527 species-specific Mega Energy without buying Raid Passes or waiting for every featured Mega Pokémon to return to raids. This guide breaks down the total by species, shows which research awards each amount, and links to the individual task pages so you can see exactly what needs to be completed at a supported Regional Championships event.

Free Mega Energy Regional Championships 2027 totals

Species	Mega Energy
Kangaskhan	2,027
Sableye	100
Malamar	100
Audino	100
Mawile	100
Steelix	100

Across both research lines, the listed rewards total 2,527 species-specific Mega Energy.

Kangaskhan Mega Energy research

Lure Up 2027 requires making one new friend. Completing it gives 2,027 Kangaskhan Mega Energy plus a Kangaskhan encounter and Lure Module.

This is the most valuable energy payout in the side-event set.

Five-species Mega Energy research

Bonus Event Timed Research progresses at 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 GO Battle League battles. Each milestone awards 100 energy for a different species.

No wins are listed as required, which makes completion more predictable.

Extra completion rewards

The battle research also gives 10,000 Stardust, one Charged TM and one Elite Fast TM after completing the sequence.

Lure Up gives 2,027 Stardust for its task as well as its completion rewards.

Do you need raid passes?

No raid requirement appears in either research line. The Kangaskhan line needs a new friend, while the five-species line uses GO Battle League.

That makes the Mega Energy genuinely research-based rather than reimbursement for paid raids.

Regional access requirement

The research is associated with Pokémon GO gameplay at Regional Championships, so access depends on supported event availability.

Check the live event tab and official championship schedule before planning around the energy rewards.

Which free Mega Energy should you prioritise?

Free Mega Energy Regional Championships 2027 is split across two research opportunities rather than one single reward. Lure Up 2027 supplies the large Kangaskhan amount, while the Bonus Event research covers several other Mega-capable species.

If time is limited, open both research lines and compare their outstanding requirements before committing to one activity. That makes Free Mega Energy Regional Championships 2027 easier to collect because friendship, battle and other objectives can be planned during the same venue visit.

Players missing a first Mega Evolution may value one species more than another, while established players can simply bank the energy for future use. Either way, Free Mega Energy Regional Championships 2027 is worth claiming because it avoids spending Raid Passes solely to build those energy balances.

Remember that the research is connected to participating Regional Championships side events. Free Mega Energy Regional Championships 2027 should not be described as a permanent worldwide Mega Energy giveaway outside those eligible locations and dates.
