Pokémon GO Lure Up 2027 Timed Research Tasks and Rewards

Pokémon GO Lure Up 2027 Timed Research is one of the most valuable pieces of side-event research attached to the 2027 Regional Championships, despite having a very short task list. Its headline reward is 2,027 Kangaskhan Mega Energy alongside a Kangaskhan encounter, making the research unusually generous compared with the amount of work required to complete it.

The main challenge is not the task itself but gaining access while supported Regional Championships gameplay is active and finishing before the Timed Research disappears. This page lists the confirmed task and rewards, explains how to prepare for the friendship requirement, and links directly to the wider Regional Championships cluster if you also want the other Mega Energy and venue bonuses.

Task	Task reward	Completion rewards
Make a new friend	2,027 Stardust	1 Lure Module, Kangaskhan encounter, 2,027 Kangaskhan Mega Energy

There is only one task page, so the research can be completed quickly if you have another Trainer available to add.

How much Kangaskhan Mega Energy do you get?

The reward is 2,027 Kangaskhan Mega Energy.

That is enough for the first Mega Evolution and many subsequent Mega Evolutions while working toward higher Mega Levels.

Does Lure Up 2027 give Kangaskhan?

Yes. The completion rewards include a Kangaskhan encounter as well as the Mega Energy.

This is useful in regions where Kangaskhan is normally difficult to obtain because the encounter is tied to the event research.

How to complete Make a new friend

Add a Trainer who is not currently on your Friend List and complete the friend connection in Pokémon GO.

If you are at a Regional Championship, community areas and local groups may make this easier, but only exchange friend codes with people you are comfortable adding.

Is the research worldwide?

The research is associated with Regional Championships gameplay across the season rather than a permanent global research line available anywhere at any time.

Check the live event panel at the relevant championship stop to confirm the research is active for your account.

Why the reward matters

Kangaskhan normally has regional acquisition friction, while Mega Kangaskhan also requires Mega Energy. This one research solves both problems at once.

Use the separate Mega Energy guide if your goal is deciding how to spend the 2,027 energy after claiming it.

How to complete Lure Up 2027 without getting stuck

Pokémon GO Lure Up 2027 Timed Research is unusually valuable because the headline reward is 2,027 Kangaskhan Mega Energy rather than a small one-off bundle. Open the research as soon as you reach the eligible event so you know exactly what must be completed before leaving.

The new-friend requirement is the one worth planning around. If you are attending with people already on your friend list, arrange one new add while other Trainers are still nearby. That prevents Pokémon GO Lure Up 2027 Timed Research from being left unfinished after the venue empties.

Claim the Kangaskhan encounter and Mega Energy before the research expires. The reward is useful even for players who already have Mega Kangaskhan unlocked, so Pokémon GO Lure Up 2027 Timed Research is not only for first-time Mega collectors.

If the research does not appear, first confirm that your location and event timing are eligible. Pokémon GO Lure Up 2027 Timed Research is connected to Regional Championships side-event gameplay rather than being a standard worldwide research drop.

With such a large Mega Energy payout, Pokémon GO Lure Up 2027 Timed Research should be claimed before optional spawn farming becomes the focus of the visit.
