Pikachu Autumn Adventure Field Research is available from eligible event-area PokéStops during the 2026 South Korea collaboration, with four live task types and encounter pools that include the new costume.

The tasks are useful both for costume hunting and for stacking event encounters while walking the Autumn Picnic route.

Which task can give Orange Hanbok Pikachu?

The live research table shows Win a raid awarding a Pikachu encounter during the event.

That makes the raid-win task the most direct Field Research target for players specifically hunting the new costume.

Where to collect the tasks

The research comes from PokéStops in the selected Autumn Picnic areas. The official event rules state that one event Field Research task can be obtained per PokéStop per day.

Move through several eligible stops if you want multiple chances rather than repeatedly spinning the same location.

Can Field Research Pikachu be Shiny?

Yes. Orange Hanbok Pikachu is Shiny eligible and the event announcement states an increased Shiny chance.

No numerical rate is published, so each research encounter should be treated as an additional boosted chance rather than a guaranteed Shiny.

How Field Research fits with the trail

The Timed Research also asks you to spin unique themed PokéStops, making it efficient to collect Field Research while progressing the eight-stop trail.

A Win a raid task can then be completed at one of the event Gyms to combine three activities in the same route.

When the research ends

The selected-area event runs until October 11 at 8:00 p.m. KST. Tasks already collected should still be completed promptly because the associated costume availability and event route are time-limited.

Check the reward before deleting a task if Orange Hanbok Pikachu is your priority.

How to farm the useful Autumn Adventure tasks

Pikachu Autumn Adventure Field Research can be collected while following the event route, so check task slots before spinning a new PokéStop. If all three slots are full, you can miss the chance to pick up a more useful event task from that stop.

Prioritise encounter tasks when Orange Hanbok Pikachu is the goal. Item-only tasks can still be worthwhile, but Pikachu Autumn Adventure Field Research becomes much more valuable when it adds another costume check to the raids and Timed Research already available.
