Pokémon GO PokéXciting Wild Spawns include a huge collection of costume Pokémon, starters, popular evolutions and Shiny encounters during Pokémon’s 30th anniversary celebrations across Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Singapore, Manila and Bangkok.
The PokéXciting! event features different encounter pools depending on how Trainers are playing. Some Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild, another group will be attracted to Lure Modules, while Incense will bring starter Pokémon and city-specific Unown encounters.
Many of the confirmed Pokémon can also be Shiny, including the new PokéXciting! Pikachu and several returning costume Pokémon.

PokéXciting Costume Pokémon Wild Spawns
Several returning costume Pokémon are included among the Pokémon GO PokéXciting Wild Spawns.
These include:
- Bulbasaur wearing a party hat
- Charmander wearing a party hat
- Squirtle wearing a party hat
- Raticate wearing a party hat
- PokéXciting! Pikachu
- Jigglypuff wearing a ribbon
- Grimer wearing a party hat
- Eevee wearing a party hat
PokéXciting! Pikachu is the major new addition.
Each PokéXciting! city receives a different locally inspired costume color, creating five regional versions across Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Singapore, Manila and Bangkok.
PokéXciting! Pikachu will also remain available as a wild encounter in its respective city for one month after the local event concludes.
This makes the PokéXciting! wild encounter pool particularly useful for costume collectors, even before the additional Lure Module and Incense encounters are considered.
Pokémon GO PokéXciting Lure Module Spawns
The Pokémon GO PokéXciting Wild Spawns are joined by a separate group of Pokémon attracted to Lure Modules activated during event hours.
| Pokémon | Encounter Method | Shiny Available? |
|---|---|---|
| Gengar wearing a party hat | Lure Module | Yes |
| Gyarados | Lure Module | Yes |
| Ampharos | Lure Module | Yes |
| Tyranitar | Lure Module | Yes |
| Gardevoir | Lure Module | Yes |
| Altaria | Lure Module | Yes |
| Garchomp | Lure Module | Yes |

| Popplio | Lure Module | Yes |
| Grookey | Lure Module | Yes |
| Scorbunny | Lure Module | Yes |
| Sobble | Lure Module | Yes |
Additional Lure Module encounters have also been teased beyond the Pokémon specifically named in the announcement.
The Lure Module pool is notable for including fully evolved Pokémon such as Gyarados, Tyranitar, Gardevoir and Garchomp.
Gengar wearing a party hat is another costume Pokémon exclusive to this encounter pool rather than the standard wild spawn list.
Pokémon GO PokéXciting Incense Spawns
Incense provides a third encounter pool during PokéXciting!.
The general Incense encounters feature starter Pokémon from several generations.
| Pokémon | Encounter Method | Shiny Available? |
|---|---|---|
| Turtwig | Incense | Yes |
| Chimchar | Incense | Yes |
| Piplup | Incense | Yes |
| Snivy | Incense | Yes |
| Tepig | Incense | Yes |
| Oshawott | Incense | Yes |
| Chespin | Incense | Yes |
| Fennekin | Incense | Yes |
| Froakie | Incense | Yes |
All of the confirmed starter Pokémon in the PokéXciting! Incense pool can potentially be Shiny.
Incense will also attract special regional Unown forms, with the available letters changing depending on the city.
PokéXciting Unown Incense Encounters
The city-specific Unown are among the most important encounters outside the main Pokémon GO PokéXciting Wild Spawns.
| PokéXciting! City | Incense Unown |
|---|---|
| Kuala Lumpur | Unown M and Unown Y |
| Taipei | Unown T and Unown W |
| Singapore | Unown S and Unown G |
| Manila | Unown P and Unown H |
| Bangkok | Unown T and Unown H |
All eight unique Unown forms can potentially be Shiny.
Unown T appears in both Taipei and Bangkok, while Unown H appears in Manila and Bangkok. The remaining six letters are associated with only one PokéXciting! city in the currently announced tour.
Which PokéXciting Wild Spawns Can Be Shiny?
Every Pokémon specifically listed in the announced Pokémon GO PokéXciting Wild Spawns has confirmed Shiny availability.
That includes the returning costume Pokémon as well as desirable catches such as Snorlax, Dratini, Ralts, Beldum and Gible.
The confirmed Shiny costume Pokémon from wild encounters are:
| Costume Pokémon | Shiny Available? |
|---|---|
| Party Hat Bulbasaur | Yes |
| Party Hat Charmander | Yes |
| Party Hat Squirtle | Yes |
| Party Hat Raticate | Yes |
| PokéXciting! Pikachu | Yes |
| Ribbon Jigglypuff | Yes |
| Party Hat Grimer | Yes |
| Party Hat Eevee | Yes |
Party Hat Gengar can also be Shiny but appears through Lure Modules rather than the normal wild encounter pool.
There is currently no announced Shiny boost for the PokéXciting! event, so Shiny eligibility should not be confused with increased odds.
Best PokéXciting Wild Spawns to Look For
Although the Pokémon GO PokéXciting Wild Spawns include plenty of collector-focused encounters, several Pokémon also stand out because of their evolutions or general usefulness.
Beldum is worth targeting for Trainers building toward Metagross, while Gible provides Candy for Garchomp.
Ralts can eventually evolve into Gardevoir or Gallade, and Dratini provides access to Dragonite.
The costume encounters are also particularly valuable for players working on Pokémon GO costume collections.
PokéXciting! Pikachu deserves special attention because each participating region receives a different costume color.
Lure Modules add additional high-profile evolved Pokémon including Tyranitar, Garchomp and Gardevoir.
A separate guide covers the best Pokémon to prioritize during PokéXciting! in more detail.
