The Best Pokémon to Catch During Pokémon GO PokéXciting include rare costume Pokémon, regional Unown, PokéXciting! Pikachu, Beldum, Gible, Ralts, Dratini and several powerful evolved Pokémon attracted to Lure Modules.
PokéXciting! features three different encounter pools across its five city events: standard wild encounters, Lure Module encounters and Incense encounters. While collectors will have plenty to chase, several Pokémon stand out because of their limited availability, useful evolutions or event-exclusive costumes.
The first PokéXciting! celebration takes place in Kuala Lumpur on September 12 and September 13, 2026, followed by events in Taipei, Singapore, Manila and Bangkok.

PokéXciting Pikachu Should Be a Top Priority
PokéXciting! Pikachu is easily one of the Best Pokémon to Catch During Pokémon GO PokéXciting for collectors.
PokéXciting! Pikachu makes its debut during the anniversary tour, and each participating region receives a different locally inspired costume color.
The five locations are:
| PokéXciting! Pikachu | Event |
|---|---|
| Kuala Lumpur version | September 12–13, 2026 |
| Taipei version | October 10–11, 2026 |
| Singapore version | November 7–8, 2026 |
| Manila version | January 23–24, 2027 |
| Bangkok version | February 13–14, 2027 |
PokéXciting! Pikachu can also be Shiny.
There are additional collectible versions available through the GO Stamp Rally, where Trainers can earn encounters with PokéXciting! Pikachu featuring Location Backgrounds.
Unlike many event Pokémon, each city’s regional PokéXciting! Pikachu will continue appearing in the wild for one month after that local event ends.
Regional Unown Are Worth Prioritizing
Unown are another major priority during PokéXciting!.
Each city has two specific letters attracted to Incense, making the Best Pokémon to Catch During Pokémon GO PokéXciting different depending on where the event is taking place.
| City | Unown |
|---|---|
| Kuala Lumpur | Unown M and Unown Y |
| Taipei | Unown T and Unown W |
| Singapore | Unown S and Unown G |
| Manila | Unown P and Unown H |
| Bangkok | Unown T and Unown H |
There are eight unique Unown forms across the tour.
Unown M, Y, W, S, G and P currently appear at only one PokéXciting! stop each. Unown T appears in Taipei and Bangkok, while Unown H appears in Manila and Bangkok.
Every announced PokéXciting! Unown can potentially be Shiny.
Because the letters are tied to individual cities, Unown should be one of the first Incense encounters collectors look for during each event.
Beldum Is One of the Best Wild Encounters
Beldum is among the strongest general catches in the PokéXciting! wild pool.
Beldum evolves through Metang into Metagross, making Candy useful even for Trainers who already have the Pokémon registered.
PokéXciting! also provides an opportunity to look for better Beldum encounters and potentially find a Shiny.
For players less interested in costumes and more interested in building useful Pokémon, Beldum is easily among the Best Pokémon to Catch During Pokémon GO PokéXciting.
Catch Gible and Look for Garchomp
Gible is another wild encounter worth prioritizing.
Gible eventually evolves into Garchomp, while Garchomp itself is included among the Pokémon attracted to Lure Modules during PokéXciting!.
That gives Trainers two different ways to work on the Garchomp evolutionary family during the event.
Wild Gible provides Candy and potential high-quality catches, while Lure Modules can attract the fully evolved Garchomp directly.
Both Gible and Garchomp can potentially be Shiny.
Ralts and Gardevoir
Ralts appears among the regular wild encounters, while Gardevoir can be attracted to Lure Modules.
Ralts Candy can be used across an evolutionary family that includes both Gardevoir and Gallade, making repeated catches useful.
Gardevoir appearing directly from Lure Modules also gives Trainers access to a fully evolved Pokémon without needing to evolve a Ralts first.
Both Pokémon have confirmed Shiny availability during PokéXciting!.
Best Pokémon to Catch During Pokémon GO PokéXciting- Dratini Is Worth Catching
Dratini is another Pokémon that should not be ignored among the Best Pokémon to Catch During Pokémon GO PokéXciting.
Dratini evolves into Dragonair and eventually Dragonite, making additional Candy useful for anyone building or powering up the evolutionary family.
Dratini can also be Shiny.
Unlike Garchomp and Gardevoir, Dragonite is not currently listed as a Lure Module encounter during PokéXciting!, so Trainers interested in this evolutionary family should concentrate on the wild Dratini spawns.
Tyranitar Is a Valuable Lure Module Encounter
Tyranitar will be attracted to Lure Modules activated during event hours.
Because Tyranitar is already fully evolved, seeing one directly from a Lure Module provides a different opportunity from catching its earlier evolutionary stages.
Tyranitar can also potentially be Shiny.
Alongside Garchomp and Gardevoir, it is one of the most notable evolved Pokémon included in the PokéXciting! Lure Module pool.
Best Pokémon to Catch During Pokémon GO PokéXciting – Costume Pokémon Should Not Be Ignored
Several returning costume Pokémon are among the Best Pokémon to Catch During Pokémon GO PokéXciting for collectors.
The confirmed costume encounters include:
| Costume Pokémon | Encounter Method |
|---|---|
| Party Hat Bulbasaur | Wild |
| Party Hat Charmander | Wild |
| Party Hat Squirtle | Wild |
| Party Hat Raticate | Wild |
| PokéXciting! Pikachu | Wild and other event encounters |
| Ribbon Jigglypuff | Wild |
| Party Hat Grimer | Wild |
| Party Hat Eevee | Wild |
| Party Hat Gengar | Lure Module |
Every costume Pokémon on the announced encounter lists can potentially be Shiny.
Party Hat Gengar is particularly notable because it is attracted by Lure Modules rather than appearing in the normal wild pool.
Collectors working through costume Pokémon should therefore use both standard encounters and Lure Modules rather than relying entirely on wild spawns.

Which Lure Module Pokémon Should You Catch?
The PokéXciting! Lure Module pool contains several fully evolved Pokémon.
The announced encounters include Gengar wearing a party hat, Gyarados, Ampharos, Tyranitar, Gardevoir, Altaria and Garchomp alongside several starter Pokémon.
If time is limited, some of the most interesting Lure Module catches include:
| Pokémon | Reason to Watch For It |
|---|---|
| Party Hat Gengar | Costume Pokémon |
| Tyranitar | Fully evolved encounter |
| Gardevoir | Fully evolved encounter |
| Garchomp | Fully evolved encounter |
| Gyarados | Fully evolved encounter |
| Ampharos | Fully evolved encounter |
| Altaria | Fully evolved encounter |
All of these Pokémon have confirmed Shiny availability.
Best Incense Pokémon During PokéXciting
Incense attracts the regional Unown alongside nine starter Pokémon.
The general Incense pool includes Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie.
For collectors, the city-specific Unown should generally receive the most attention because their availability changes between PokéXciting! locations.
However, the starter-heavy Incense pool also provides opportunities to collect Candy and hunt for Shinies while waiting for Unown encounters.

The Best Pokémon to Catch During Pokémon GO PokéXciting will depend partly on collection goals, but PokéXciting! Pikachu, regional Unown, Beldum, Gible, Ralts and Dratini are strong priorities from the normal encounter pools.
Lure Modules add Party Hat Gengar, Tyranitar, Gardevoir and Garchomp, while costume collectors have several returning anniversary Pokémon to chase throughout the event.
