An Enzo Focus Fire Build in The First Descendant now combines much stronger drone attacks with frequent firearm-triggered skill damage. The October 15 rework increased Explosive Drone damage, improved Combat Drone and missiles, and made Firing Specialist easier to activate. Patch 1.4.6 subsequently corrected a buff-name error, without announcing a reversal of the new damage values.
The most useful Enzo Focus Fire Build starts with an eight-second buff from Explosive Drone, follows with high-damage skills and keeps firearm shots connecting while Enhance Combat Suit is active. Here’s a complete breakdown of the verified numbers, module priorities, rotation and how this differs from other Enzo setups.
Enzo Focus Fire Build: current damage values
Focus Fire is the required Transcendent Module for this setup. Nexon’s revised Update 1.4.5 notes give the following figures for the Enzo Focus Fire Build, which remain the most recent published balance values after patch 1.4.6. The numbers describe separate effects and should not be added together as though every bullet triggers the entire list.
| Skill or mechanic | Current value |
|---|---|
| Explosive Drone damage | Skill Power × 8,102.5% |
| Explosive Drone buff | Non-Attribute Skill Power +30% for 8 seconds |
| Enhance Combat Suit additional damage on firearm hit | Skill Power × 1,195.8% |
| Enhance Combat Suit trigger cooldown | 0.2 seconds (previously 0.5 seconds) |
| Combat Drone damage | Skill Power × 1,494.0% |
| Small Missile damage | Skill Power × 5,776.9% |
The increase to Combat Suit damage is especially relevant when you’re already firing constantly. Its additional attack now has a much shorter cooldown, so a gun that consistently hits targets complements the improved drones. You’re building a hybrid skill-and-firearm rotation, not trying to convert Enzo into a stationary caster.

Which modules and reactor should you use?
For an Enzo Focus Fire Build, equip Focus Fire and prioritise Skill Power that supports his current Non-Attribute damage. Power Increase is one module worth testing; cooldown options help if you spend too much time waiting for the next Explosive Drone burst. A reactor matching the actual skill types displayed in your live loadout is more useful than copying an older build designed entirely around firearm attack.
Two other named candidates are Skill Expansion and Skill Extension, provided the relevant effects genuinely benefit from range or duration in your equipped configuration. Those are test candidates, not an official guaranteed ten-slot best-in-slot setup. Don’t invest Crystallization Catalysts in a copied layout until you’ve confirmed the resulting damage and uptime on the latest version.
Survival matters too. If you can’t stay alive during the full drone window, a high theoretical skill multiplier won’t carry a difficult mission. Keep enough HP and defensive investment for your activity. The Enzo rework overview also explains his updated support module and passive changes.
Best Enzo Focus Fire Build attack rotation
Open with Explosive Drone when there’s a target you can follow up on. Its 30% Non-Attribute Skill Power buff lasts eight seconds. Use your Focus Fire drone and missile damage inside that window where possible, then keep connecting firearm attacks to benefit from the improved Enhance Combat Suit effect. Once the buff ends, reposition and prepare the next burst.
In this Enzo Focus Fire Build, the timing matters more than blindly firing off abilities the moment they light up. Waiting briefly for a Commander to finish moving can help land a much stronger drone attack. A long boss fight also rewards keeping the 0.2-second Combat Suit interaction active while you work towards the next Explosive Drone window.
The Firing Specialist passive is now less demanding. With Focus Fire equipped, only one Prep effect is needed instead of two. General and Special Rounds each require 28 rounds consumed, Impact Rounds require seven and High-Power Rounds require six. Those requirements were halved or better by the October rework, so you no longer need the old extended setup to activate the passive.

Focus Fire versus Compressed Bullet and Reinforce Front Line
Focus Fire rewards combining drones and gunfire. Compressed Bullet is a different firearm-oriented choice: Nexon raised its Firing Specialist explosive firearm attack increase from 125% to 155%, while the standard Firing Specialist bonus rose from 75% to 105%. That doesn’t give Compressed Bullet the same Combat Drone and missile damage changes.
Reinforce Front Line is another alternative, now using a drone attached to Enzo with increased effect range. For an Enzo Focus Fire Build, choose the direct drone-damage loop; for team support or a more firearm-centred playstyle, consider the other modules. There is no official universal ranking proving one of these is best against every target and with every weapon.
Best weapons and activities for Focus Fire
Because Enhance Combat Suit activates on firearm attacks, choose a gun you can aim and fire consistently. The Monster Hunter assault rifle has useful separate effects against Tyrants and Colossi, but it is not a requirement to make Focus Fire function. Our daily Transcendent Weapon rotation guide can help if you still need a stronger weapon.
Stage 5 Onslaught is a good test for a prepared Enzo Focus Fire Build, although the team must also defend the Energy Concentration Point. Tyrants cost 10% Energy if they reach it, and a Colossus follows six waves. Our Onslaught Stage 5 guide covers that defence and its loot. The Battlefield Monster Hunter guide covers another weapon effect available in that content.
Cradle of Evolution can also test sustained damage, but some rooms have objectives that skills alone won’t finish. Vulgus Shells require firearm, melee or Exclusive Weapon damage, while Accelerate Extraction uses laser redirection. See the Cradle walkthrough and Cradle rewards before attempting repeated runs for equipment.
What did patch 1.4.6 change for Enzo?
The October 22 update corrected the display name of Bombing Enhancement, the buff that appears after using Explosive Drone with Focus Fire. It did not announce new damage coefficients for the Enzo Focus Fire Build. The 8,102.5% Explosive Drone damage, 30% buff and enhanced Combat Drone and missile values therefore remain the published 1.4.5 baseline.
If your damage seems weaker than expected, check that the drone attacks are landing inside the eight-second buff, that firearm hits are triggering Combat Suit’s additional damage, and that you’re not using a pre-October skill calculator. For squad alternatives, see our Freyna and Gley rework guides. An Enzo Focus Fire Build works best when you repeatedly land both its drone attacks and its firearm-triggered additional damage.
