The First Descendant Cradle of Evolution Guide is built around a dungeon that changes its route every time you enter. Cradle of Evolution contains eight Combat Zones, but you only need to complete four before moving to the Commander, so the starting position matters and the same run does not always send you through the same rooms.
The important part of The First Descendant Cradle of Evolution Guide is understanding the two new encounter mechanics. Vulgus Bombardment punishes players who try to solve every object with skills, while Accelerate Extraction asks the team to aim lasers instead of simply deleting another enemy wave.
The First Descendant Cradle of Evolution Guide: entry requirements and route structure

Cradle of Evolution unlocks at Mastery Rank 18. You can enter through the Tactical Transport Control NPC in Albion or through the World Map. Public Operations need 81,580 Arche Activity, while Private Operations can still be started below the required value. Those are the entry rules at the start of The First Descendant Cradle of Evolution Guide.
Once inside, the run begins at a random location. There are eight Combat Zones in total, and clearing four opens the route to the Commander area. That randomised start is why memorising one fixed corridor order is less useful than understanding what each mechanic wants from you.
How Vulgus Bombardment works
Vulgus Bombardment creates portals around the Combat Zone and spawns Vulgus Shells. For The First Descendant Cradle of Evolution Guide, the key rule is that those shells can be destroyed by Exclusive Weapons, Firearms or Melee Weapons, but Skill Attacks do not destroy them. Destroying a shell also increases the Extermination Target count.
The shells rise over time and eventually explode and disappear if they are not dealt with. When this mechanic appears, stop treating the room like a normal skill-clear section and swap to a valid damage source so the shells actually contribute to progress.
How Accelerate Extraction works
Accelerate Extraction activates Energy Condensers inside the Combat Zone. Hitting a condenser changes the direction of the laser it fires. The objective in The First Descendant Cradle of Evolution Guide is to aim every active laser toward the central Essence Extractor.
Once all of the Energy Condenser lasers are pointed at the central device, all spawned monsters are defeated. This is effectively a room-solving mechanic, so blindly killing enemies can be slower than immediately identifying the condenser positions and rotating the beams into place.
Separated Tarvos is the Commander
After four Combat Zones, The First Descendant Cradle of Evolution Guide moves to the Commander encounter against Separated Tarvos. Nexon also added Cradle of Evolution as a Social Tag, which should make it easier to find players specifically looking to run the new content.
Because Cradle routes vary by starting point, the most consistent preparation is a flexible loadout that can handle normal enemies, object mechanics and the Commander rather than an extremely narrow room-specific setup.
Why Cradle of Evolution is worth farming
The reward pool is a major reason to repeat The First Descendant Cradle of Evolution Guide. Mission completion can award Ultimate Hailey’s pattern, her two exclusive Transcendent Modules, Transcendent Weapon Loot, Ancestors Module Loot, Superconductive Cooling Units, Trigger Module Loot L and Archive Shards.
Cradle is also part of Weekly Content. A clear can award 100 Merit Tokens and 50,000 Kuiper Shards, with the shared Karel’s Mothership and Cradle weekly system allowing up to five reward acquisitions per week.
