The PS5 Prism Collection brings transparent DualSense controllers and matching PS5 console covers to the UK in Flare Orange, Emerald Green and Graphite Gray. Preorders open on Tuesday 10 November 2026 at 10am GMT, with the collection launching from 4 February 2027.

A Prism DualSense costs £74.99 in the UK and matching console covers cost £64.99. You buy them separately, and neither purchase includes a console. Before ordering covers, check your PS5 model against the specific Prism product listing.

PlayStation unveiled the PS5 Prism Collection on 28 October 2026. Each finish comes in two separate products: a standard DualSense wireless controller and a set of PS5 console covers. There is no special-edition console bundle in the announced range.

These are recommended retail prices, so individual retailers may charge a different amount. Sony also says that delivery dates and availability can vary by country; 4 February is the start of the launch, not a guarantee that every shop will have every colour on that date.

Where to preorder the PS5 Prism Collection in the UK

Preorders open in the UK on Tuesday 10 November at 10am GMT. You can order through PlayStation’s own hardware store at playstation.com/store/hardware. Sony also mentions participating retailers for the DualSense controllers, but has not named individual UK shops in the announcement.

For the matching PS5 covers, Sony is selling directly through PlayStation in countries with its own hardware store, including the UK. Select retailers will have limited stock in countries where direct ordering isn’t available. That arrangement is different from the wider retailer availability of the controllers.

One controller plus one matching set of covers comes to £139.98 at the UK RRPs. You can choose either accessory by itself, and your November preorder is for a product scheduled to launch from February 2027.

All PS5 Prism Collection colours

All three finishes are glossy and transparent, with the clear material extending across the back of the DualSense. A metallic-looking centre section contrasts with the shell. Here’s how Sony describes each colour, alongside the official product images.

Flare Orange

Flare Orange is a vivid orange that looks slightly rosy where the translucent surfaces overlap. It’s the boldest of the three colours, and Sony is offering matching PS5 covers as well as the controller.

Emerald Green

Emerald Green is a deep hunter green with a soft, almost silky appearance. The see-through finish gives the colour more depth than an ordinary solid-green shell. Matching console covers are part of the collection.

Graphite Gray

Graphite Gray uses a cool, smoky grey rather than plain black. The transparent plastic gives it a subtler look than Flare Orange, while the matching covers bring the same finish to the PS5.

Which PS5 models will Prism covers fit?

Sony’s 28 October announcement does not confirm which PS5 model groups the Prism console covers fit. It doesn’t list compatible CFI model numbers. Photos of the new covers aren’t proof they’ll fit a particular console, even if it looks like yours.

PS5 console covers are not universal. Sony offers separate covers for the Slim model group and PS5 Pro, and neither listing establishes Prism compatibility. Check the model group on the actual Prism cover product page rather than assuming all PS5 panels are interchangeable.

Find your PS5’s CFI model number, then check it against the specific Prism cover listing when preorders open. That applies to original PS5, Slim and Pro owners. Don’t pay for a set of panels until the product explicitly supports your console.

Are the Prism controllers DualSense or DualSense Edge?

These are regular DualSense wireless controllers with a new transparent shell, not DualSense Edge models. Sony is announcing the colours and design rather than changes to the controller’s features. A Prism DualSense has the standard controller’s familiar controls and functionality.

The £74.99 DualSense and £64.99 console covers are sold separately. You won’t receive covers with the controller or a controller with the covers. If you need to connect a new pad to your console, our DualSense pairing guide covers that process.

Will the PS5 Prism Collection arrive before Christmas 2026?

No. Preorders open in November, but the PS5 Prism Collection launches from February 4, 2027. Sony has not announced December delivery for these accessories. Check the delivery estimate when ordering, as availability can vary by region.

What to check before placing a UK preorder

The price, preorder date and three colours are confirmed. If you’re buying a DualSense, choose your preferred finish. If you’re ordering the £64.99 covers, verify your PS5 model against Sony’s Prism product page before paying. Cover compatibility remains unconfirmed in the announcement.
